Magic draft pick Romero Osby will miss the remainder of the season with a torn labrum.

Osby was selected in the second round but never actually played for Orlando, instead spending the season with the Red Claws in the D-League. He averaged 16.2 points and 6.4 rebounds at that level and should be fully healed when he tries out for NBA teams during training camp.

Andre Iguodala (back) practiced on Wednesday.

He is expected to play on Friday, so practicing today bodes well for the former Finals MVP. The Warriors do have some depth on the wings this year, so they're probably going to be extremely careful with Iguodala. With him back, it could take a few minutes from Nick Young and Patrick McCaw, but they would likely have to fill in if Draymond Green (knee) can't go.

Draymond Green (knee) did not practice on Wednesday.

After suffering a knee strain and not returning on Tuesday, he is having an MRI and coach Steve Kerr said he doesn't think it's serious. Saying the Warriors missed Green in the fourth quarter on Tuesday would be an understatement based on their awful 137.3 defensive rating in those 12 minutes. Hopefully, Green can make it back out there for Friday against the Pelicans. If not, Kevin Durant will play a lot of four while Patrick McCaw, Nick Young and maybe Jordan Bell also help fill in at the forward spots.
Oct 18 - 3:11 PM

Zach Randolph (oral surgery) was not at shootaround on Wednesday and remains questionable to face the Rockets.

It's a home game for the Kings, so not being at shootaround isn't a huge deal. That said, we're probably not going to find out if he can play until late this evening for the 10:00 EDT start time. If he can't go, Skal Labissiere figures to benefit most while Willie Cauley-Stein could also be looking at additional playing time.
Oct 18 - 2:44 PM

Donovan Mitchell is expected to see "plenty of point guard minutes" against the Nuggets on Wednesday, according to Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune.

With Raul Neto (hamstring) out tonight and Dante Exum (shoulder) out indefinitely, the Jazz will need someone to fill 13-16 minutes at point guard behind Ricky Rubio. Mitchell has taken a lot of pride in becoming a point guard, and it sounds like the Jazz coaching staff has faith in him along with his teammates like Joe Ingles. " I haven't seen too many rookies as physically and mentally prepared to play as Donovan," Ingles said. Mitchell should be owned in most 12-team leagues.
Oct 18 - 2:27 PM

Alex Len (left ankle) said he's "probably out" for Wednesday's game against the Blazers and hopes to play on Friday.

That's not the start Len wanted after a great preseason. He had left ankle surgery earlier in his career and his right ankle is probably the worse one of the two. Len played 26.8 minutes per game in the preseason, and it's fair to say that's probably more than he should've logged. With him out, Marquese Chriss will certainly be playing more minutes at the five, which opens up more run for T.J. Warren and Josh Jackson. Hopefully, Len just needs a day off or two, but he may be a cut candidate in most leagues.
Oct 18 - 2:20 PM

E'Twaun Moore and Dante Cunningham are expected to start in Wednesday's season opener vs. Memphis.

With Solomon Hill (hamstring) and Rajon Rondo (hernia) set to begin the year on the sidelines, the Pelicans are expected to roll out a starting five featuring Jrue Holiday, Moore, Cunningham, Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins. Moore could be good for a handful of 3-pointers, but he's not all that attractive of a target in 12-team formats. Cunningham isn't a viable target in any setting.

Anthony Davis (illness) is a go for Wednesday's season opener against the Grizzlies.

Davis was a full participant during shootaround, and there was never any doubt about him suiting up for opening night. Alvin Gentry said that he wants DeMarcus Cousins and Davis on the floor as much as possible, so they should be logging heavy minutes tonight. Make sure you've got The Brow active.

Raul Neto (left leg) has been ruled out for Wednesday's season opener against the Nuggets.

This isn't all that surprising considering Neto has yet to get through a full practice, and with Dante Exum (shoulder surgery) also unavailable, we'll likely see rookie Donovan Mitchell get some reps as the backup point guard while Ricky Rubio rests. The Jazz play again Friday vs. Minnesota, and for now, we'll be considering Neto questionable for that one.
Oct 18 - 1:47 PM

Chris Paul (bruised left knee) is being listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against the Kings.

This is not surprising at all considering head coach Mike D'Antoni said that CP3 was "playing on one leg" during Tuesday's season opener, so we doubt he'll take the floor tonight with a matchup against a team that the Rockets should be able to beat without his services. Assuming Paul watches Wednesday's game from the sidelines, James Harden will likely shift back over to the one, with Eric Gordon starting at the two-spot.
Oct 18 - 1:44 PM

Lauri Markkanen will be in the starting lineup for Thursday's season opener against Toronto.

This was the obvious move with both Bobby Portis (suspension) and Nikola Mirotic (face) out until mid-November, and Markkanen should be getting all the run he can handle with very little depth behind him. He played very well at the EuroBasket tournament and was effective through three preseason games with averages of 11.7 points, 5.0 boards and 2.3 triples in just 24.8 minutes per contest, so he's worth swooping up in most settings.
Oct 18 - 1:34 PM

Quincy Pondexter (hamstring) is expected to play in Thursday's season opener against the Raptors.

Pondexter injured his hamstring early on at training camp, which forced him to miss the preseason. He hasn't played professional basketball since 2015 due to various knee surgeries, so he'll likely be brought along slowly in Chicago, making him an unappealing option in fantasy hoops.
