Courtney Lee handled the point-guard duties for the Grizzlies down the stretch against the Wolves on Friday, finishing with 16 points, five boards, one assist, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes.

With Mike Conley (ankle) going down, Lee ran the offense and did a solid job. He's done this before, so it's not a big surprise. The Grizzlies really don't have a reliable backup point guard and Lee will likely continue to be the primary ball-handler on Saturday and perhaps beyond. He should be owned in all standard leagues.

Tony Parker (hamstring) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. the Pelicans.

Parker didn't look good on Christmas, and this is the second game of a back-to-back set, so that probably has something to do with his absence. Cory Joseph will slide into the starting lineup, and he'll make for a decent plug-and-play option in daily leagues.

Kawhi Leonard (hand) will not suit up for Friday's game vs. the Pelicans.

Danny Green, Manu Ginobili, Marco Belinelli, and Kyle Anderson will all see extended minutes with Leonard sidelined, with Green offering the most upside out of the group. Coach Gregg Popovich said that Leonard's return will be based on his ability to tolerate the pain, and he remains without an official return date.
Dec 26 - 1:28 PM

Josh Smith has officially signed with Houston, and he's set to make his Rockets debut Friday vs. the Grizzlies.

Smith will likely start which will send Donatas Motiejunas to the bench. However, the Rockets were forced to cut Tarik Black in order to make room for Smith on the roster, so Motiejunas could see some time as Howard's primary backup with Terrence Jones (leg) still on the shelf. Owners of Motiejunas should see how he performs tonight before making the cut.
Dec 26 - 1:15 PM

John Henson (foot) has been upgraded to probable for Friday's game vs. the Hawks.

Larry Sanders (flu) and Ersan Ilyasova (concussion) have already been ruled out for this one, so the Bucks could really use Henson back in the lineup. However, he's been out since Nov. 25, so his conditioning probably isn't quite there yet. Check back for an official update on Henson's status closer to tip-off, but know that he'll be a risky option in daily leagues despite the opportunity.
Dec 26 - 1:01 PM

Larry Sanders (flu) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. the Hawks.

With Ersan Ilyasova (concussion) also unavailable, Zaza Pachulia and Johnny O'Bryant are going to get all the minutes they can handle (which for O'Bryant isn't much). John Henson (foot) has been upgraded to probable, and the Bucks could certainly use him. Pachulia will make for the best play in daily leagues, but he's not a lock for production.
Dec 26 - 12:53 PM

Ersan Ilyasova (concussion) will not suit up for Friday's game vs. the Hawks.

This concussion is coming out of nowhere, and Ilyasova just can't seem to stay healthy. A concussion cost him 21 games last year, so there's some cause for concern with this news. The Bucks frontcourt has been decimated by injuries this season, and they'll have to lean heavily upon Zaza Pachulia and Johnny O'Bryant with current starter Larry Sanders (illness) also not expected to play Friday. John Henson (foot) has been upgraded to probable, so if he could also be forced into minutes tonight.
Dec 26 - 12:49 PM

Deron Williams (calf) will come off the bench for Friday's game vs. the Celtics.

Jarret Jack will draw another start on Friday, but he'll be splitting minutes with Williams, so that's going to hurt his upside. Still, over the past two starts Jack put up averages of 16.0 points, 9.0 assists, and 1.5 steals over 37.5 minutes of action, and he makes for a decent plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Williams is going to be eased back into the rotation, and given his price tag, he'll be an unattractive option in daily leagues.
Dec 26 - 12:35 PM

Monta Ellis (illness) was not at shootaround, and his status for Friday's game vs. the Lakers has yet to be determined.

Ellis is one of the toughest guys in the league, and hasn't missed a game for the past two seasons, so he'd have to be in really bad shape to miss this one. However, if he is forced to sit, Devin Harris, and J.J. Barea would be the primary beneficiaries. Stay tuned.
Dec 26 - 12:26 PM

Dirk Nowitzki (illness) missed Friday morning's shootaround, and his status for tonight's game vs. the Lakers is not yet known.

Dirk is dealing with a stomach issue, and went to get it checked out this morning. If he's unable to go Friday, Charlie Villanueva and Greg Smith would be in line for extended minutes. Villanueva is coming off an 18-point game, and he'd make for an interesting play in daily leagues with a favorable matchup vs. the Lakers if Dirk is forced to sit. Stay tuned.
Dec 26 - 12:20 PM

Kevin Durant (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. the Hornets.

While it's been Perry Jones starting for Durant, the true beneficiary has been Russell Westbrook who has been playing absolutely out of his mind lately. Westbrook will draw a favorable matchup tonight vs. the Hornets, and will make for an excellent plug-and-play option in daily leagues. Reggie Jackson also will get a small boost in value, while Jones won't be worth using in most leagues.
Dec 26 - 12:12 PM

Zach Randolph (knee) did not participate during shootaround, and remains questionable for Friday's game vs. Houston.

If Randolph sits his minutes will go to Jon Leuer and Kosta Koufos. Leuer would make for a decent plug-and-play option if he draws the start, but it'll be difficult to use him if he's coming off the bench. Koufos can only be viewed as a shot-blocking and rebounding specialist in very deep leagues. Stay tuned.
