Courtney Lee handled the point-guard duties for the Grizzlies down the stretch against the Wolves on Friday, finishing with 16 points, five boards, one assist, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 34 minutes.

With Mike Conley (ankle) going down, Lee ran the offense and did a solid job. He's done this before, so it's not a big surprise. The Grizzlies really don't have a reliable backup point guard and Lee will likely continue to be the primary ball-handler on Saturday and perhaps beyond. He should be owned in all standard leagues.

Boban Marjanovic is active and Eric Moreland is inactive against the Knicks on Saturday.

He gets a great matchup here and the Knicks aren't really a strong pick-and-roll team, so maybe Boban gets run as the backup five man. If he does, coach Stan Van Gundy has said he wants him to score with two feet in the paint. Free Boban.

Elfrid Payton (hamstring) had a mild to moderate strain and could miss several games.

There are not many muscle strains that can be a nagging issue like a hamstring pull, so the Magic will have to rest Payton until his muscles heal. With him out, D.J. Augustin could have short-term value in most leagues.
Oct 21 - 6:41 PM

D.J. Augustin will start for Elfrid Payton (hamstring) on Saturday.

While Shelvin Mack started the second half on Friday, coach Frank Vogel now had time to set his rotation with what he has. Augustin played 23 minutes on Friday and he should get close to 30 minutes tonight. He makes sense as a DFS punt and could have short-term value with Payton out.
Oct 21 - 6:37 PM

Aaron Gordon (ankle) will not play against the Cavs on Saturday.

This is a tough one for the Magic, who will also be missing Elfrid Payton. Jonathan Isaac got the start on Friday and played 23 minutes, but he was in serious foul trouble with three fouls in his first four minutes. He could definitely be in foul trouble again, but Isaac makes sense as a DFS option. Evan Fournier should be busy.
Oct 21 - 6:35 PM

Coach Fred Hoiberg believes Denzel Valentine (knee) will play against the Spurs on Saturday.

He missed practice on Friday due to knee soreness. Valentine is easily the best offensive weapon on the bench for the Bulls, so Hoiberg will need him out there against coach Gregg Popovich's Spurs. If Valentine is limited, it'll likely be David Nwaba getting extra run.
Oct 21 - 6:27 PM

Michael Beasley (ankle) is available to play against the Pistons on Saturday.

This is a small surprise after Beasley was in a walking boot on Thursday. If he isn't limited, Beasley should get around 20 minutes and could be busy in that time. He'll be a risky play in DFS or season long.
Oct 21 - 6:20 PM

Frank Ntilikina (ankle) will not play against the Pistons on Saturday.

He rolled his ankle while boxing out in practice on Friday. There were some positive reports on the lottery pick, but the Knicks likely won't be rushing him back and he was only the No. 3 point guard on Thursday. If you're stashing him, it might be a while.
Oct 21 - 6:16 PM

Amir Johnson will start at center against the Raptors on Saturday with Joel Embiid (rest) not playing.

Revenge game? Johnson has played just 13.5 minutes per game and he only played 20.5 minutes per game in his 77 starts for Boston last year, so 20-24 minutes seems like a fair expectation tonight. It's tough to count on Jahlil Okafor here, but coach Brett Brown said he plans on using him. Dario Saric has also played four minutes at center, so he figures to be part of the recipe without The Process.
Oct 21 - 6:08 PM

DeMar DeRozan (illness) will play against the 76ers on Saturday.

He gets a green light during warmups, but coach Dwane Casey said his All-Star is under the weather. He's coming off a subpar game with only 11 points against the Bulls on Thursday, but now he figures to get a long look at Robert Covington. DeRozan could be a DFS tournament option and should be in all season-long lineups.
Oct 21 - 5:53 PM

Derrick Rose (left ankle) has been ruled out for Saturday against the Magic.

He rolled his ankle on Friday and was never expected to play. Rose doesn't really play through many injuries, so it's possible he misses more time going forward. While he's out, Jose Calderon figures to start, but it'll be LeBron James running the offense for most of the game.
Oct 21 - 4:21 PM

The Pelicans are waiving Jordan Crawford.

This move is to open a spot for Jameer Nelson. Steez actually had a productive game on Friday with 13 points, one rebound, seven assists and three 3-pointers. He also had a whopping 15.2 points per game in April last year and he's probably responsible for some fantasy titles with his 41-point game in the 2013-14 season finale. Some team should sign him after he clears waivers.
