Carlos Boozer (calf) will be in the Bulls' starting lineup vs. the Nets on Thursday.

Taj Gibson will come off the bench, though he should still earn enough playing time to be in fantasy lineups. Tom Thibodeau hinted this afternoon that Boozer may have a minute-limit to avoid aggravating his strained calf before the All-Star break, but it's encouraging to see him in uniform after three consecutive DNPs.

Yogi Ferrell started in place of Dennis Smith Jr. (hip) and had 16 points, eight rebounds, two assists, a steal and two 3-pointers on 7-of-14 shooting in 35 minutes on Tuesday.

He had 10 points, four rebounds and seven assists on Sunday and should continue to be a DFS asset as long as DSJ is out. Smith has already been ruled out for Thursday at Golden State and Saturday at San Antonio, making Ferrell an interesting play in both of those games.
Dec 12 - 11:36 PM

Kawhi Leonard (quad) finally made his season debut on Tuesday and had 13 points, six rebounds, a steal, a block and a 3-pointer on 6-of-12 shooting despite playing just 16 minutes.

It's been a long time coming for his owners and while Leonard's minutes and even games played (back-to-backs) are going to be shaky for a bit, he looked very good in his limited run. Get him in your lineups and watch for news on him daily, as it's probably going to be a bumpy ride for a few weeks. Welcome back, Kawhi!
Dec 12 - 11:15 PM

Kristaps Porzingis torched the Lakers for 37 points, 11 rebounds, a steal, five blocks and five 3-pointers on 14-of-26 shooting in 40 minutes of Tuesday's 113-109 win over the Lakers.

While this wasn't a season high in scoring for the Unicorn, it was arguably the best game of his young career, as very few players have ever had 37 points, five triples and five blocks in one game. He scored 30 in his previous outing and the Knicks have won 14 games, and sit in the No. 8 spot in the Eastern Playoffs. They have more wins than the Thunder, Clippers, Grizzlies and Heat, but the Knicks probably aren't good enough to get Porzingis involved in serious MVP discussions just yet.
Dec 12 - 11:01 PM

Lonzo Ball hit 6-of-13 shots and 3-of-6 3-pointers for 17 points, eight rebounds, six assists, two steals and a block in Tuesday's 113-109 loss to the Knicks in his debut at Madison Square Garden.

Much like teammate Brandon Ingram, Ball's numbers look a heck of a lot better if you ignore the shooting percentages and 3-pointers, although it's not surprising that he had one of his better offensive games on a night when his 3-pointers were falling. He's only had two better offensive performances this season and maybe seeing some 3-pointers go down will get help to get him going on a hot streak. And the last Laker to post those type of numbers in his first game at Madison Square Garden was Magic Johnson, who had a triple-double.
Dec 12 - 10:49 PM

Tobias Harris scored just two points on 0-of-7 shooting in Tuesday's blowout loss to Denver, adding eight rebounds, one assist and one steal.

After the game, coach Stan Van Gundy called out Harris, Andre Drummond, Reggie Jackson and Avery Bradley after Detroit's seventh straight loss. "In my opinion, these are our four best players. They have to play better," SVG said. "If you want the money, want the credit when things go well, you have to have some accountability." SVG added that this loss was an "embarrassment, so fantasy owners should be on the lookout for any potential lineup changes. Harris was averaging 18.0 points in 35.2 minutes in his previous six games, so he should bounce back from this dud on Thursday vs. the Hawks.
Dec 12 - 10:37 PM

LeBron James torched the Hawks for 25 points and tied his career high with 17 assists as the Cavaliers trounced the Hawks 123-114 on Tuesday.

The game wasn't nearly as close as the final score indicates and James had his way with Atlanta, although several Hawks had pretty big nights too. LeBron hit 11-of-13 shots, two 3-pointers, and added seven rebounds and two steals to his ridiculous stat line. James Harden made a strong move in the MVP race on Monday night, but LeBron may have countered it tonight.
Dec 12 - 10:21 PM

Trey Lyles stayed hot on Tuesday vs. the Pistons with 20 points on a perfect 7-of-7 shooting.

He also added four boards and three triples in 27 minutes. Lyles scored 10 of his points in garbage time, so take this line with a grain of salt. He was likely on a lot of watch lists tonight after scoring a career-high 25 points on Sunday with five triples, and while he's not quite on the radar in 12-team leagues, he's worth a look in deeper formats at least until Nikola Jokic (ankle) returns. He'll have a tough matchup against Boston on Wednesday.
Dec 12 - 10:03 PM

Kent Baszemore hit 7-of-13 shots and a career-high 6-of-10 3-pointers for 20 points, eight rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks in 28 minutes of Tuesday's 123-114 loss to the Cavaliers.

Bazemore had 19 points and a similar stat line on Saturday, got into foul trouble and fizzled on Sunday, and then came back today for one of the best lines of his career. He's pretty much been hit-or-miss all season long, which is exactly what he's been in the month of December, as well. If he was not owned in your league tonight, someone Is going to pick him after this one. And he should be owned, despite his inconsistency.
Dec 12 - 9:59 PM

Jamal Murray led the Nuggets to a 103-84 win over the Pistons on Tuesday, scoring a game-high 28 points on 11-of-19 shooting.

The Nuggets were using Murray off the ball a ton tonight and were playing to his strengths as a catch-and-shoot player. He had 13 points alone in the third quarter to put this game out of reach, adding four rebounds, three assists, one block and four 3-pointers. He's been all over the place this season, but nights like this show why he's worth being patient with. He may have some more touches coming his way as well with Will Barton picking up a lower back contusion.
Dec 12 - 9:49 PM

Taurean Prince caught fire on Tuesday and hit 8-of-10 shots and two 3-pointers for a career-high 24 points, seven rebounds and six assists, and also hit 6-of-6 free throws in a loss to the Cavaliers.

Prince has been cruising, hitting double figures in scoring in eight of his last nine games and is averaging 17.5 points, 6.8 boards, 3.8 assists, 0.8 blocks and 1.8 3-pointers over his last four games. It's just too bad the Hawks are struggling and never really had a chance to win on the best night of Prince's career. He should be owned everywhere.
Dec 12 - 9:44 PM

Kenneth Faried picked up a DNP-CD on Tuesday vs. the Pistons.

Faried has been outplaying Mason Plumlee lately and was coming off two straight games with 30+ minutes, but you never know what coach Mike Malone is going to do with his rotations on any given night. This time around, Plumlee had a nice double-double and was a +29 in his 29 minutes, but it does help Faried's case that Darrell Arthur was exposed as the backup center by Boban Marjanovic. With Nikola Jokic (ankle) still out, Faried's owners should expect to see him back in the rotation on Wednesday vs. Boston.
