The Bobcats have traded Ramon Sessions and Jeff Adrien to the Bucks for Gary Neal and Luke Ridnour.

The Bucks acquired Sessions for his expiring contract and he should get in the mix for his new team. Brandon Knight has played well this season, so it's hard to imagine Sessions seeing an expected role. The former Bobcat has played 23.7 minutes per game this season and doesn't shoot treys, so he's not really a strong pickup.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr says he expects Andrew Bogut to return from his knee injury in the next few days.

It sounds like Bogut is getting close to game action after missing several games with the injury, but we still don't have a specific target date for his return. A logical guess his that he'll play on Tuesday against the Sixers, although there's also an outside chance he could be ready for Saturday's game against the Timberwolves.
Dec 25 - 9:11 PM

Dwyane Wade hit 21-of-28 shots and two 3-pointers for 31 points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block in Thursday's 101-91 win over the Cavs.

Wade is healthy again and getting it done, but he was bothered by his sore knee at times tonight. Hopefully he'll continue to play through the pain.
Dec 25 - 8:30 PM

Luol Deng hit 11-of-16 shots and a 3-pointer for 25 points, eight rebounds and eight assists as the Heat beat the Cavaliers on Christmas Day.

Deng was a beast today and also did a nice job of playing defense on LeBron James. He got off to a slow start this season, but could be ready to go on a tear.
Dec 25 - 8:25 PM

LeBron James hit 9-of-16 shots, 10-of-18 free throws and two 3-pointers for 30 points, four rebounds and eight assists in Thursday's loss to the Heat.

He didn't have a steal or block and his free throw shooting wasn't good, but he still came through for his owners, despite leaving the game briefly with "left leg tightness." The Cavs, after losing Anderson Varejao for the season, have some issues on defense and simply don't look like one of the East's elite teams right now. But there's a long way to go and they still have plenty of time to get things figured out.
Dec 25 - 8:13 PM

Kyrie Irving hit 10-of-19 shots and a 3-pointer for 25 points, four rebounds, three assists, a steal and just two turnovers in Thursday's loss to the Heat, but also hurt his left knee late in the game.

He injured the same knee against the Thunder earlier this season and was clearly in pain as the game ended tonight. He had his foot stepped on and then came down very awkwardly on his left leg, which is when he injured the knee and suffered a contusion. For now consider him day-to-day, but the fact an MRI wasn't needed is great news. If he's going to miss time, Matthew Dellavedova would likely take over at point guard for the Cavs.
Dec 25 - 8:06 PM

Matt Bonner played 31 minutes off the Spurs' bench on Christmas, putting up 17 points (6-of-12 shooting) to go with three 3-pointers, four rebounds, one assist, and one block.

Bonner saw some increased opportunity tonight with Boris Diaw (illness) picking up a DNP-CD, and he could again get some extended run on Friday if Diaw is forced to sit. However, he'll have a tough matchup against the Pelicans, so he'd make for a risky option in daily leagues. Stay tuned.
Dec 25 - 7:23 PM

Head coach Gregg Popovich said that Boris Diaw had a 100-degree fever, and that was the reason he did not play during the Spurs' Christmas Day loss to the Thunder.

Pop said he was trying to save bodies for tomorrow's game vs. the Pelicans, so it seems there's a chance Diaw suits up for that one. If Diaw sits, there will be more minutes to go around for Tiago Splitter, Matt Bonner, and Aron Bynes. Stay tuned.
Dec 25 - 7:08 PM

Chris Bosh expects to test his calf during Friday's practice, and if all goes well, he hopes to play Saturday vs. the Grizzlies.

"We have to read and react and see how everything goes and go from there," Bosh said. "It's kind of really like a day-to-day thing. I thought that I would be back the last game but it didn't work out like that. It's just something I have to cope with. We have a lot more games to play." We'll be monitoring Bosh's status closely, and we'll pass along any updates as they become available. Stay tuned.
Dec 25 - 7:01 PM

Tim Duncan scored 15 points on 6-of-13 shooting with six rebounds, five assists, one block, and two turnovers during the Spurs' loss to the Thunder.

Duncan briefly left the game during the closing minutes of the fourth quarter with what looked to be a leg injury, but quickly returned and ended up closing out the game. We'll keep an eye out for any injury news, and although it seems minor, the Spurs are amid a back-to-back set, so he could be rested tomorrow. Duncan posted a plus/minus rating of minus-34 in this one, which is the worst plus/minus rating of his career (post-season or regular-season).
Dec 25 - 6:58 PM

Head coach Byron Scott said that Kobe Bryant is dealing with some "overall soreness," and he will not suit up for the Lakers' Christmas Day game vs. the Bulls, while Kobe says there's only a "slim" chance he'll play on Friday vs. Dallas.

Bryant was listed as probable for this one, so it is surprising to see Scott suddenly pull the plug. Expect Wayne Ellington, Wes Johnson, Nick Young, and Carlos Boozer to see some increased opportunity on offense, with Young offering the most upside.
Dec 25 - 6:40 PM

Tony Parker did not look good during his 27 minutes of action on Christmas, scoring just 10 points on 5-of-10 shooting, to go with five assists, three rebounds, and one steal.

Parker scored 26 points during his last outing against the Clippers, so owners will just have to chalk this one up as an off-night for the Spurs' starting PG. Parker was outplayed by his backup Cory Joseph who went for 14 points, five assists, four rebounds, and two steals over 29 minutes of action, but that's not a trend that's likely to continue. Look for Parker to bounce-back Friday vs. the Pelicans.
