Greg Monroe hit 7-of-13 shots on his way to 17 points, 17 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in Saturday's loss to Dallas.

After a slow start to the season, Monroe is absolutely crushing right now, and was helped by Andre Drummond's foul trouble tonight. He's averaging 17.2 points, 11.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.6 blocks over his last five games.

Mike Scott matched his season-high with 22 points on 9-of-10 shooting in Friday's win over the Clippers, adding four rebounds, two steals and two triples.

He apparently likes playing against the Clippers, as had 22 points against them on Dec. 9 as well. Markieff Morris (groin) returned from a one-game absence tonight, but he played 21 minutes compared to 24 for Scott. He's been coming on really strong lately and may have turned this position battle into a timeshare. He has seven 3-pointers combined over his last four games and is trending up for deep-league owners.
Dec 15 - 10:30 PM

Rudy Gobert will undergo an MRI on his left knee on Saturday.

Gobert said that he thinks his knee ligaments are going to be OK, but he added that it's very sore. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN is reporting that the early evaluations suggests he has a Grade 1 MCL sprain, so while he'll likely miss some time, hopefully this means he will be day-to-day. Derrick Favors hurt his eye tonight, but he'll benefit quite a bit if Gobert misses time. Ekpe Udoh and Jonas Jerebko would also have increased roles and we should see some smaller lineups as well.
Dec 15 - 10:18 PM

Aaron Gordon (calf) will have an MRI on Saturday.

That's certainly not good news, but an MRI doesn't necessarily mean he'll be out for long. Although, we would consider him doubtful to play against the Pistons on Sunday and hopefully he can play on Wednesday. While Gordon is out, Mario Hezonja has earned his minutes and should be in the 30s, making him a deep-league option. More usage will be going to guys like Jonathon Simmons, as well.
Dec 15 - 10:14 PM

Otto Porter got hit in the hip and is in a lot of pain according to coach Scott Brooks.

Porter left Friday's game vs. the Clippers after just three minutes never to return. He will be re-evaluated on Saturday, and Brook added that he believes Porter is day-to-day. If Porter is unable to go on Sunday vs. the Cavaliers, Kelly Oubre would likely take his place in the lineup. Oubre played 34 minutes in relief of Porter on Friday, scoring eight points with seven rebounds, one assist, one steal, two blocks and one triple.
Dec 15 - 9:49 PM

Derrick Favors (left eye laceration) will not return on Friday night.

He received six stitches and was bleeding badly from his face in the first half. Hopefully, he didn't suffer any corneal damage and hopefully he's just day-to-day, but he's probably not going to play on Saturday. With Rudy Gobert (knee) already out, the Jazz are going to have to lean on Ekpe Udoh a ton tonight and tomorrow. If you want to add Udoh as a blocks specialist in a deep league, it's not a bad idea.
Dec 15 - 9:09 PM

Aaron Gordon suffered a right calf strain in the second half on Friday and will not return.

Gordon looked to have pulled a muscle in transition and he went to the locker room. He had just returned from a concussion issue in this game and he did not have a restriction. If he is going to miss time, that should mean more run for Mario Hezonja, who is worth a speculative look in deep leagues. Gordon looked good early and finished with 13 points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal and two 3-pointers in 24 minutes.
Dec 15 - 9:00 PM

Ekpe Udoh and Jonas Jerebko started the third quarter for Rudy Gobert (knee) and Derrick Favors (eye).

Gobert has already been ruled out and it feels like Favors won't be back tonight either. If you're in a deep league and need blocks, Udoh isn't a bad speculative add.
Dec 15 - 8:55 PM

Trevor Booker suffered a sprained left ankle and will not return to Friday's game vs. the Thunder.

X-rays were negative, so hopefully this is just a minor setback. If Booker is forced to miss time going forward, Dario Saric and Richaun Holmes would be candidates to see a bump in minutes. Booker finished with six points and three boards in 13 minutes.
Dec 15 - 8:54 PM

Updating a previous report, Nikola Jokic (ankle) is coming off the bench on Friday vs. the Pelicans.

He's still fully expected to play, but this will keep his minutes in check. Coach Mike Malone didn't mention a specific number for his restrictions and simply said he'd play a "reasonable amount of minutes."
Dec 15 - 8:39 PM

Two-way player Torrey Craig is starting at small forward for the Nuggets on Friday vs. the Pelicans.

Craig has been lighting up the G-League, but he's only played a total of six minutes for the Nuggets this season. He'll join Jamal Murray, Gary Harris, Wilson Chandler and Mason Plumlee in the starting lineup, while Nikola Jokic (ankle) and Will Barton (back) will come off the bench. Juancho Hernangomez is inactive (coach's decision). Craig is worth keeping an eye on in case he makes some noise tonight.
Dec 15 - 8:34 PM

Kemba Walker will try to play through a left wrist strain in the second half of Friday's game vs. the Heat.

He had his wrist taped at the half and the good news is that this isn't his shooting hand. It's not a lock that Walker will be able to finish this game, so stay tuned for updates.
