Joakim Noah (thumb) remains questionable for Friday's game against the Grizzlies.

Noah's sprain isn't considered serious, but there are two factors working against him. First, it's on his right (shooting) side. Second, it's the same thumb that he tore ligaments in during the 2010-11 season and ended up having surgery. The Bulls are expected to update Noah's status following the morning shootaround.
Mar 7 - 9:12 AM

Kevin Durant (foot) went through some contact in practice on Monday.

He has a big evaluation coming up on Thanksgiving, but his return is getting close. At the very earliest, he could play Friday, but that would be extremely optimistic. His owner should bench him because he is not even allowed to play on Wednesday because of the NBA's hardship exception. The Thunder only have a Friday game after that. Anyone who grabbed KD in their drafts should feel pretty good right now.
Nov 24 - 2:31 PM

Russell Westbrook (hand) could return to Friday's game against the Knicks.

He went through some contact in practce on Monday. Last week he wasn't supposed to be re-evaluated until the coming weekend, but he's apparently doing much better than expected. Fantasy owners in weekly leagues will still probably want to bench Westbrook because the Thunder have no games after Friday this week. Reggie Jackson will lose some value, but he should still be worth owning in just about all leagues.
Nov 24 - 2:28 PM

Thaddeus Young (personal) returned to practice on Monday.

Young is on track to play on Wednesday against Milwaukee and has returned to the team following the tragic loss of his mother. Our thoughts are with Young and his family. With his return, Anthony Bennett should be heading back to the bench.
Nov 24 - 1:45 PM

Roy Hibbert (left ankle) has been ruled out of Monday's game against the Mavericks.

The Pacers just can't catch a break. Without Hibbert, the team is expected to start Ian Mahinmi at center against an explosive Dallas offense that has looked unstoppable at times. Hibbert does not currently have a timetable to return, but Mahinmi should be a solid low-end plug-and-play option for however long Hibbert is sidelined.
Nov 24 - 12:23 PM

Eric Gordon (shoulder) is out indefinitely with a torn labrum.

Gordon's left shoulder has a torn labrum as a result of a shoulder subluxation. He's out indefinitely, and that means Austin Rivers should take over as the team's starting shooting guard. New Orleans has very little depth at shooting guard, so Jimmer Fredette should also see some extended run for the Pelicans.

Patrick Beverley (left hamstring) will not play again on Monday vs. the Knicks.

Beverley didn't practice on Sunday after leaving Saturday's game a hamstring injury, and it's going to cost him at least Monday's game against New York. Isaiah Canaan is expected to draw the start in place of Beverley again, and he's averaging just 11.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, a steal and 2.3 triples over six starts (30 minutes per game) this season.
Nov 24 - 11:58 AM

Derrick Rose (hamstring) and Pau Gasol (calf) are both game-time decisions on Monday against Utah.

Previously Rose was questionable, so that's nothing new. Gasol was being listed as probable, and there's no use in guessing with Chicago's injury situation since the designations are largely meaningless in their reports. Gasol should play, but we've already been burned by his being "probable" before this season. With Kirk Hinrich (chest) questionable at best, Aaron Brooks and E'Twaun Moore would likely be the Bulls' point guards if Rose doesn't play. Rose did say he is feeling better and is confident about playing vs. the Nuggets on Tuesday if he can't go on Monday. The good news is he's no longer having pain in his hamstring.
Nov 24 - 11:47 AM

Updating a previous item, Dwight Howard (knee) will not play on Monday vs. the Knicks.

Howard was a "potential go" just hours earlier, but he must not have been feeling comfortable in the morning shootaround to be ruled out so early. Without Howard, the Rockets will continue to roll with Tarik Black at center, but Donatas Motiejunas and Kostas Papanikolaou will be the guys fantasy owners want to use. For what it's worth, beat writer Jonathan Feigen guesses that Howard will miss more than three games with the knee ailment.
Nov 24 - 11:38 AM

Nerlens Noel and Tony Wroten both missed shootaround with a stomach virus, but each is expected to play on Monday against the Blazers.

The ailment doesn't seem serious since they're already being called probable, but owners may want to check in after shootaround to be sure they're both in the lineup. Noel's absence would mean more time for Brandon Davies, Henry Sims and Robert Covington, while Wroten's absence would increase time for Michael Carter-Williams, and possibly Hollis Thompson and K.J. McDaniels.
Nov 24 - 11:07 AM

Tobias Harris (calf) will be a game-time decision on Monday.

Harris won't go through shootaround, but he'll warm up prior to the game to see if he can give it a go. If Harris is forced to sit out, Moe Harkless should see a few more minutes, but it will basically result in a slight upticks in playing time across the board for the Magic's key contributors like Victor Oladipo and Channing Frye.
Nov 24 - 10:53 AM

Marcus Smart (ankle) is hoping to return to practice on Wednesday.

"He’s been doing his work in the weight room as far as conditioning goes," Brad Stevens said. "So we’ll see how much work he needs to do once he gets back on the floor. That’s a concern certainly." Even if Smart isn't able to return this week, it sounds like he's right around the corner.
