Kevin Love made five 3-pointers against the Rockets on Thursday during a blowout 129-106 loss, scoring a total of 29 points with six boards, five assists, two blocks and one steal in 30 minutes.

Gorgui Dieng was sucking up all the rebounds which explains why Love failed to record a double-double in his second consecutive game. This marked the first time all season he's failed to record a double-double in consecutive games, but he's still racked up 32.0 points per game in that span. He's a stat-stuffing monster in his sixth season out of UCLA.

Updating a previous report, Trevor Ariza left Friday's game vs. Denver with back spasms.

He didn't return, but there was only a few minutes left. Ariza played 43 minutes the night before and logged 31 minutes tonight, but luckily he gets two days off before Monday's game vs. Boston. He finished with 16 points on 6-of-11 shooting with seven rebounds, three assists, five steals and four treys. If we get some bad news on Ariza, Sam Dekker would get some extra burn. To be clear, Ariza should be fine.
Dec 3 - 1:12 AM

Kyle O'Quinn came out of nowhere against the Wolves on Friday with 20 points, 13 rebounds, two assists and two blocks in 31 minutes.

Wow. That's season highs in points, boards and minutes for KOQ in his start today. He was outstanding on the defensive end and coach Jeff Hornacek stuck with him after not playing him for more than 18 minutes in any of his previous four games. Joakim Noah (ankle) could be back for Sunday, so O'Quinn would only be worth a look in deeper leagues. This looks like one of the flukiest games of the season.
Dec 3 - 12:35 AM

Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer said "We’ll look at everything" when asked if he will shake up his starting lineup after Friday's 121-85 loss to the Pistons.

The Hawks have lost five straight games and seven out of their last eight, so they've got to try something. Coach Bud even benched his entire starting five at halftime because he was looking for a "spark." Kyle Korver has arguably struggled the most and he finished with seven points on 2-of-8 shooting with two rebounds and one steal in 34 minutes Friday, and he's been held to single-digit points in four out of his last five games. Standard-league owners are probably ready to move on.
Dec 3 - 12:12 AM

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope scored 23 points in Friday's 121-85 win over the Hawks, shooting 9-of-20 from the field in 30 minutes

KCP is from Georgia and also went to school there, so he put on a show in front of his family and friends. He added eight rebounds, one steal and five triples, and he's one of the hottest SGs in the East right now, averaging 18.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 3.0 triples on 45.3 percent shooting over his last five games.
Dec 2 - 11:58 PM

Blake Griffin scored 27 points on 12-of-22 shooting in Friday's 114-96 win over the Pelicans.

This was the second night of a back-to-back set and he logged 34 minutes, so it's safe to say that he's healthy after a knee/calf scare last week. Griffin added four assists, two blocks and hit a triple to give him five 3-pointers on the season. He gets a matchup with the Pacers on Sunday.
Dec 2 - 11:26 PM

Al Horford exploded against the Kings during a 97-92 win on Friday, scoring 26 points with eight rebounds, three assists, two steals, six blocks and four 3-pointers in 36 minutes.

That's season highs in points, blocks and treys, and he also matched his best total in steals and minutes. We've seen coach Brad Stevens mix it up with his bigs, but he's never had someone as good as Horford. This massive game moved him to No. 6 on per-game value for standard leagues despite just 32.4 minutes per game. He's going to be outstanding all year.
Dec 2 - 11:18 PM

Anthony Davis (right shoulder) returned to Friday's game vs. the Clippers and looked fine, scoring 21 points on 8-of-17 shooting in 31 minutes.

He bumped into Marreese Speights in the first quarter and was in the locker room for about 10 minutes, but it didn't seem to bother him down the stretch. This isn't the same shoulder that had a partial tear last season, so there's no real concern here and we haven't heard anything about the Pelicans running any tests. He grabbed six rebounds with four assists, one steal and one block and he should be ready to go for Sunday's game vs. the Thunder.
Dec 2 - 10:57 PM

Brandon Ingram started at SG on Friday vs. the Raptors and scored a career-high 17 points on 8-of-16 shooting.

Here he comes. The Lakers are ready to set him loose and he played 35 minutes even though the game was a blowout -- no other starter played more than 24 minutes. Ingram added six rebounds, two assists and one trey, and his path to minutes has widened with his ability to play three different positions. With Nick Young (calf) out 2-4 weeks and D'Angelo Russell (knee) still out, Ingram is looking at minutes in the 30s for the foreseeable future. He's a nice pickup in most formats and he should be even better after the All-Star break.
Dec 2 - 10:40 PM

Aaron Gordon busted out against the 76ers during a 105-88 win on Friday, scoring a season-high 20 points with two rebounds, one block and two 3-pointers in 25 minutes.

It was just two points off his career high and Gordon did most of his damage in the first half with 15 points. He's been horrendous for his previous 10 games with only a 37.1 field goal percentage for 8.0 points and 1.2 dimes on the offensive side. Maybe this game can get him going, but it was a dream matchup for him. He's only a borderline hold right now and gets a tougher matchup against the Pistons on Sunday.
Dec 2 - 10:32 PM

Larry Nance has been diagnosed with a right knee contusion and is questionable for Saturday's game vs. Memphis.

He bumped knees on Friday vs. Toronto and will likely be re-evaluated on Saturday morning. Nance finished with six points and six rebounds in 23 minutes. If he sits out, Julius Randle will have a heavy workload and Thomas Robinson should be in the rotation.
Dec 2 - 10:26 PM

Rodney Hood (hamstring) is questionable for Saturday's game vs. Denver.

He was also questionable on Thursday vs. the Heat, but he was ruled out about an hour before tip-off. Joe Johnson started in Hood's place and scored 18 points in 33 minutes, so he will be a nice low-end option if Hood misses his second straight game.
