Tony Parker will not play against the Sixers on Monday night due to left Achilles soreness.

The Spurs will host the Sixers tonight and there is really no need for the team to put Parker in harm's way even if he's at 100 percent health. Parker did have Achilles soreness in the playoffs last year, but it doesn't sound like this is a serious issue and it's probably just a case of the Pops. Cory Joseph will likely start while Patty Mills will have some added responsibilities.
Mar 24 - 7:48 PM

Carmelo Anthony hit the game-winning jumper and got the foul in Wednesday's 103-100 win over the Wizards, scoring 30 points with three rebounds, three assists, three steals and two 3-pointers in 34 minutes.

He made 11-of-19 from the field and all six shots from the field. Only two of his shots came from within 13 feet and the mid-rangers were dropping. Anthony's shot totals were down, but he's attempted 20.5 per game in his last two. Even if his style does change, he still should fill up the stat sheet enough to warrant a selection at the end of the first round.
Oct 22 - 10:26 PM

John Wall was cooking against the Knicks on Wednesday, making 10-of-16 from the field for 29 points with one rebound, seven assists, four steals and two 3-pointers in 33 minutes.

He was struggling mightily before this gem, making just 28.2 percent from the field in his previous four games. Wall's jumper made some nice strides last season and he should only get better in his age-24 season. Fantasy owners should target him in the late first round.
Oct 22 - 10:12 PM

Jared Sullinger was at it again on Wednesday, knocking down 7-of-10 shots and another 3-pointer for 15 points, 17 rebounds, two steals and a block against the Nets.

In his last five games, which includes a four-point dud last Wednesday, he's averaging 15.2 points, 12.2 rebounds, 1.6 steals, 0.2 blocks and 2.2 3-pointers on 57 percent shooting. He's the starting PF in Boston and while his preseason has been dreamy, owners should set realistic expectations. He'll have games like these, probably often, but it's hard to see him playing this well throughout the season. With all the late hype, he was taken with the 89th pick in one of Dr. A's drafts on Tuesday night. That seems a little high, but if you really want him, beware that readers of Rotoworld are likely going to be ready to pounce around the 80th pick or so.
Oct 22 - 10:07 PM

Otto Porter kept his momentum going against the Knicks in his 31 minutes in the starting lineup on Wednesday, scoring 22 points on 9-of-15 from the field with two rebounds, one assist, three steals and four 3-pointers.

He is absolutely rolling right now. Over his last five games, Porter averaged 14.8 points, 4.4 boards, 2.0 assists, 2.4 steals and 1.2 triples on 51.9 percent from the field. If he can consistently make triples, Porter could really be in for a fantastic sophomore season. He's on the radar in standard leagues and should start off strong while Bradley Beal (wrist) is on the shelf.
Oct 22 - 10:06 PM

Terrence Jones went to the locker room on Wednesday due to an apparent neck issue and did not return.

It doesn't sound serious, but we'll keep an eye on it. Jones went off before leaving the game, scoring nine points with eight rebounds, two assists, two steals, four blocks and one 3-pointer. He'll be a key part of the frontcourt rotation and last year's post-break run makes him a terrific target in the middle rounds.
Oct 22 - 9:24 PM

Jordan Clarkson (calf) will return to the lineup on Wednesday.

He's likely going to play more minutes at shooting guard tonight, but he made it clear he's capable of being a combo guard. Clarkson has been one of the most impressive second-round picks of the 2014 draft and could have an impact with a couple injuries to the backcourt. He's only on the fantasy map in extremely deep leagues.
Oct 22 - 7:56 PM

Kobe Bryant (rest) will not play in the final two preseason games.

There is nothing wrong and he's just going to get some rest before the Lakers open their season against the Rockets on Tuesday. Bryant has been taking plenty of shots, but hasn't been nearly as efficient. He's still going to be a risky pick and is usually coming off the board in the third round.
Oct 22 - 7:42 PM

Andrew Wiggins (back) will not play against the Bucks on Wednesday.

He has a lower back contusion and he should be ready to start the season. Wiggins' exact role is unclear, but considering how few playmakers the Wolves have on offense, you'd think he gets his chances to score. If you want him, you can probably look to grab him around pick 70, but there are some more proven studs at that ADP.
Oct 22 - 6:38 PM

Brandon Knight (groin) and Ersan Ilyasova (knee) are both available to play against the Wolves on Wednesday.

He missed over one week with his groin injury and it's unclear if he'll be limited tonight. Nobody stepped up while Knight was on the shelf, so he is expected to start at point guard. Fantasy owners can target him in the later rounds of drafts.
Oct 22 - 6:22 PM

Paul Pierce (knee) will not play against the Knicks on Wednesday.

It's just a knee bruise for Pierce and he's fully expected to be ready to go next week. Pierce's minutes and usage rate will be headed south this year, so he's more of a late-round target in standard leagues.
Oct 22 - 6:16 PM

Rajon Rondo (hand) has been cleared for some contact with a pad on his hand.

He's still very doubtful for the opener, but he might be closer to the front end of the 6-8 week prognosis. Rondo is coming off his worst year since being a primary facilitator of the offense and his numbers didn't translate to fantasy in most formats. Fantasy owners should probably let someone else deal with him.
