Kent Bazemore was diagnosed with a torn peroneus longus tendon in his right foot and will miss the rest of the regular season.

The a torn peroneus longus tendon runs along the outside of the heel and this is a fairly uncommon injury, but he should be ready to go for next season. Bazemore will have surgery and a timetable will be given after the operation. He suffered the injury on Sunday and was sitting on the bench after he went to the locker room. Wes Johnson is likely going to pick up some extra minutes.

The Kings will decline extending a qualifying offer to Ben McLemore.

That will make him an unrestricted free agent. With the news of Bogdan Bogdanovic coming over next year, this move had a very good chance to happen. The No. 7 pick from the 2013 draft never really got it going and he's seen a litany of players leapfrog him for playing time. Last year, he played just 19.3 minutes per game for 8.1 points per outing. Some team will probably take a chance on him as a backup next year.

Shawn Long was traded to the Rockets for cash and a 2018 second-round pick.

Sam Hinkie would be proud of picking up a second-round pick here. Long did actually play well late last season, averaging 8.2 points and 4.7 boards during his 18 games with the 76ers. The Rockets are probably going to cut or move him again.

Jarrett Allen will not play in Las Vegas due to a right hip flexor strain.

He suffered the injury two weeks ago at a pre-draft workout. That means the Nets may have still taken him at 22 knowing Allen was banged up. Still, he is expected to compete for the starting job in a very fast-paced offense. He's a fantasy sleeper in deep leagues.

Chandler Parsons said that his surgically repaired left knee is now totally pain-free, and he's been working out 4-5 hours a day.

It's nice to see Parsons doing well in his rehab, but the question remains as to whether or not his body can handle the rigors of going through an 82-game season. After putting in career-lows across the board and only appearing in 34 games last season, Parsons won't be a very attractive guy to target in standard fantasy leagues next year.

The Clippers will try to re-sign Blake Griffin as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

Los Angeles sending away Chris Paul to Houston may have hurt their chances of retaining Griffin, although they still have money on their side as an incentive as they'll be able to offer him roughly $50 million more than any other team could. The Thunder have long been rumored to have an interest in going after Griffin as a free agent, but they'll need to move around some salary in order to be players in the Griffin sweepstakes.

The Knicks will reportedly go after unrestricted free agent Jeff Teague this offseason.

With Phil Jackson no longer with the Knicks, the triangle will no longer be an overarching philosophy in the offensive scheme in New York, which is a positive for Teague who wasn't much a fan of exclusively running the triangle. The Knicks have been linked to Teague more than a few times over the past couple years, and there's reportedly mutual interest here, so this is certainly a free agent acquisition that could come to fruition under GM Steve Mills.

Carmelo Anthony would like to be bought out of his contract with the Knicks in order to join up with Chris Paul and James Harden in Houston, according to sources of Stephen A. Smith.

It's been a while since Smith has been right about something, so take this report with a grain of salt. That being said, Melo has flirted with Houston in the past, and Rockets' GM Daryl Morey is said to be looking to add another star player to join the Rockets' new backcourt duo of CP3 and Harden, so maybe he'll look to add Anthony if Morey is unable to execute a deal for Paul George. Should Anthony secure a buyout from the Knicks, the Cavs would also be in the running for his services.

Rockets' GM Daryl Morey is trying to bring in another All-Star to play alongside James Harden and Chris Paul, according to sources of Jeff Goodman of ESPN.

While Goodman doesn't name anyone directly in his report, Paul George stands out as one of the more obvious targets out there, and PG-13 has been linked to Houston numerous times in the past couple weeks. PG-13 partnering up with CP3 and Harden in Houston would make that squad an immediate contender out West, so it'll be interesting to see if Morey is able to pull off another blockbuster deal after wooing away Paul from Los Angeles.
Jun 28 - 12:45 PM

Chris Paul will be traded to the Rockets in exchange for Patrick Beverley, Sam Dekker, Lou Williams and a 2018 first-round pick.

Paul reportedly informed that Clippers that he was going to sign with the Rockets as a free agent, which forced the Clippers to execute this deal rather than lose him for nothing. CP3's value should hold steady playing in Houston's uptempo offense, while James Harden should spend a bit more time playing off the ball, meaning Harden's assist numbers could take a slight hit although his scoring could increase. Paul is opting into the final year of his contract, so he'll hit free agency again in 2018.

Phil Jackson has agreed to step down as the Knicks' president of basketball operations and owner James Dolan is reportedly targeting Toronto's Masai Ujiri as Jackson's potential replacement.

Jackson definitely hit a home run when he drafted Kristaps Porzingis No. 4 overall in the 2015 NBA draft, but that's pretty much been the extent of his accomplishments during his three years at the helm of the Knicks' front office. He alienated stars like Carmelo Anthony and Porzingis, signed a washed up Joakim Noah to a four-year deal worth $72 million and went with Frank Ntilikina over Dennis Smith Jr. in the 2017 NBA draft due to his infatuation with the triangle offense. With Jackson getting the boot, there's a better chance Melo will remain a Knick, and GM Steve Mills will guide the team during free agency. It's unclear if Ujiri has any interest in joining the Knicks.
Jun 28 - 10:06 AM

Jared Dudley underwent a left toe ligament and bone procedure and is expected to be sidelined for 3-4 months.

This means Dudley could miss training camp and potentially the start of the 2017-18 season. Dudley has two years on his deal with Phoenix, but with the Suns rebuilding, he will likely be more of a locker room guy again in 2017-18. He averaged 6.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.2 3-pointers in 21.3 minutes per game last season, so fantasy owners can plan on ignoring him in most formats.
