The Bobcats have signed F D.J. White for the rest of the season.

He'll help back up Josh McRoberts at power forward, but shouldn't see enough minutes to make a difference in fantasy.

J.B. Bickerstaff has agreed to a three-year contract to become the Memphis Grizzlies' head coach, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com.

This news has been expected all day with word of "framework" of a deal already in place for the 2017-18 interim coach. The Grizzlies continue to have a strange year after they foolishly held Tyreke Evans through the trade deadline, and now they're just going to stay the course after they finished the year as the second worst team in the NBA.

Giannis Antetokounmpo made 13-of-23 from the field for 31 points during a 97-86 Game 6 win over the Celtics on Thursday, adding 14 rebounds, four assists, two steals and no turnovers in 41 minutes.

As Zaza Pachulia would say, we're going to Game 7, baby. After Giannis attempted just 10 attempts from the field in Game 5, he had the killer instinct again for his third 30-point game in this series. He continues to see some time at the five with the Bucks going no center for 12 minutes tonight. Antetokounmpo did look slightly tired at times in this game, which makes sense because he's logged a whopping 122 minutes in the last three games. On Saturday, the Bucks will have a tough task on their hands as they try to win one at Boston after going 0-of-3 in the previous three chances.

Thon Maker is listed as the starter for Thursday against the Celtics.

This is an interesting move with John Henson out again. Maker was terrific in the two games at Milwaukee, but he took a step back in Boston on Tuesday. If he is starting, he could see an increase from the 26.0 minutes per game he's seen over the last three. He's a viable DFS play.
Apr 26 - 7:46 PM

John Henson (back) will not play on Thursday in Game 6 against the Celtics.

He got some shots up at shootaround, but Henson gets ruled out before warmups are completed. With him out, Tyler Zeller should get another start, but it's been Thon "The Difference" Maker stepping up off the bench. Maker should be worth a look in DFS while the Celtics should combat this move with more small-ball lineups like they did in Game 5.
Apr 26 - 6:22 PM

Stephen Curry (knee) put in a full practice on Thursday and is questionable to play for Saturday against the Pelicans.

This is big news for the Warriors after general manager Bob Myers said Curry would be very close to a return once he goes through a full practice. Curry has a big re-evaluation coming up on Friday, and he'll have to clear a bunch of medical hurdles to get the green light on Saturday. The Warriors may be getting their two-time MVP back soon.

Otto Porter (leg) has played with a bone contusion in his left leg that has been monitored by the Wizards’ medical staff, according to Candace Buckner of the Washington Post.

Coach Scott Brooks said he's going to hope for the best that Porter will be out there for Game 6. "I know he’s banged up. That’s all I know as of right now," Brooks said. Porter has been a shell of himself lately, especially in his 31 minutes in Game 5. If he's limited, Kelly Oubre would be an easy call for DFS while Mike Scott would also benefit.
Apr 26 - 4:28 PM

Otto Porter's (leg) status for Game 6 is up in the air.

He's been dealing with this right lower leg strain since the end of the regular season and hasn't looked healthy during the playoffs -- he's averaging just 10.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.0 blocks, 1.2 steals and 1.0 triples on 48.8% shooting. Coach Scott Brooks made it sound like there's a chance Porter wouldn't play, but we'd expect him to tough it out with Washington's season on the line. For what it's worth, he's not listed on the injury report.
Apr 26 - 12:25 PM

The Heat are expected to shop Hassan Whiteside this offseason.

Whiteside played just 15.4 minutes per game in Round 1 vs. Philly and voiced his frustration about his lack of playing time several times. He missed 28 games during the regular season due to injuries and his numbers were down across the board after a career year in 2016-17. Whiteside is on the books for another two seasons ($25.4M in 2018-19 and a $27M player option in 2019-20), so moving him is going to be difficult.

The Rockets advanced to the second round with a 122-104 win on Wednesday, led by James Harden's 24 points, 12 assists, five rebounds, four 3-pointers, two steals and two blocks.

When coach Mike D'Antoni was asked about the Wolves' various defensive schemes to slow down Harden, he replied, "I don't think there is a solution." Harden can torch defenders from deep when they dive under screens, he can drive past them when they go over, and his vision and passing add another element of danger no matter the coverage. "If you're going to play with certain teams, you have to keep scoring with them," D'Antoni said, self-referentially. "If you can't, you're in trouble." The Rockets' next opponent (either Utah or OKC) can't say he didn't warn them.
Apr 26 - 12:56 AM

Clint Capela sank 12-of-14 shots during Houston's series-clinching win on Wednesday, scoring 26 points with 15 rebounds, one steal and one block in 33 minutes.

The Rockets dropped 50 points in the third quarter during Game 4, and they created separation after halftime again tonight with a 30-15 edge in the third quarter. They've yet to lose a game all season when Capela scores 20+ points and his presence around the rim is an ideal counterpoint to all of Houston's 3-point shooting. He didn't commit a single turnover tonight and was probably on a lot of winning DFS teams with 48.5 fantasy points.
Apr 26 - 12:56 AM

The Wolves' season ended on Wednesday despite Karl-Anthony Towns getting 23 points (9-of-14 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), 14 rebounds, four assists and one block in 36 minutes.

KAT failed to score double-digit points in Games 1 & 2, but he began to decode the Rockets' swarming, switching defense with three straight double-doubles. He stayed aggressive when the Rockets went small without Clint Capela tonight, forcing coach Mike D'Antoni to re-insert Capela, which is exactly the type of gameplan-altering impact KAT needed to have in this series -- unfortunately, it's a case of 'too little, too late' for the Wolves' franchise centerpiece.
