Julius Randle officially declared for the 2014 NBA Draft on Tuesday.

Randle had already alluded to this decision, but his decision became formal on Tuesday as he became the last of the big-name college players to enter the draft. Randle helped his Kentucky Wildcats reach the finals and put up solid numbers during the regular season with averages of 15.0 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 0.8 blocks. He is expected to be a lottery pick in June's draft and could go as high as the Top 5.

Al-Farouq Aminu (calf) practiced on Friday and remains out for Saturday against Miami.

This is a very encouraging sign for Aminu, who has missed the last 12 games. He's had a smooth transition to playing all power forward this season, which has allowed Moe Harkless to step up as a three. Aminu's return with 27 minutes per game would take minutes away from guys like Ed Davis, Meyers Leonard and Noah Vonleh. Aminu is a borderline asset in standard leagues.
Dec 2 - 4:58 PM

Zach Randolph (personal) will not play against the Lakers on Saturday.

He is still on bereavement leave for the loss of his mother. With Z-Bo out, Jarell Martin has seen the biggest bump in minutes while Deyonta Davis has received a chance to play. Martin gets a good matchup and could be a sneaky steam or DFS punt play. Randolph isn't worth stashing in most cases.
Dec 2 - 3:10 PM

Vince Carter (hip) is out for Saturday against the Lakers.

This will be his third game out of the lineup due to his right hip flexor injury. The Grizzlies have played more Tony Allen while Troy Daniels and Troy Williams have both stepped up lately. Daniels and Williams have similar short-term value with Daniels being more about scoring and Williams doing a little of everything. Allen should be a steals specialist.
Dec 2 - 3:07 PM

Nikola Jokic (left wrist) is shaping up to be a game-time decision for Friday's game against the Rockets.

On Wednesday night, Jokic was pushed to the ground and braced himself with his left wrist, so that's likely when he suffered the injury. Jokic did stay in the game and it doesn't sound serious. He's playing some outstanding ball and does appear to have a good chance to play. If he's out, more run will go to Jusuf Nurkic, Kenneth Faried and a number of other forwards.
Dec 2 - 2:23 PM

Doug McDermott (concussion) has been ruled out for Friday night vs. the Cavs and Saturday night in Dallas.

The Bulls are hopeful McDermott will be cleared for contact on Friday. However, coach Fred Hoiberg wants to see him get a couple workouts in before being cleared for a game. Isaiah Canaan and Nikola Mirotic have been the biggest beneficiaries of McDermott's absence and should continue to see increased workloads this weekend.

ESPN is reporting that Will Barton (ankle) will play Friday night vs. the Rockets.

Barton started off the year strong, averaging 18 points and five rebounds in 35 minutes over Denver's first three games of the season. However, he has missed 12 of the Nuggets last 15 games due to this nagging ankle injury. It is unknown if Barton will be on a minute restriction Friday. If you have room on your roster and he is still floating around your league's waiver wire, now is the time to nab him. Barton finished last season ranked among the top-85 overall fantasy players, according to BasketballReference.com. Barton's return will likely eat into the minutes of Wilson Chandler and Jamal Murray.
Dec 2 - 12:03 PM

Joel Embiid will be on a 28-minute limit Friday night vs. Orlando, but likely will not play on Saturday vs. Boston.

In addition to the 28-minute limit vs. Magic, the Sixers announced that "the team anticipates to follow prior back-to-back protocol for Celtics on Saturday." Thus, we can safely assume they will rest Embiid on Saturday. Embiid has not played more than 27 minutes in any game this season, so 28 minutes would represent a career high. It will be interesting to see if Embiid can sustain his incredible per-minute production as his playing time increases. His current per-36 minute averages are mind-boggling: 28.2 points, 12.2 rebounds, 3.8 blocks and 2.0 3-pointers.
Dec 2 - 11:36 AM

Jerryd Bayless (left wrist soreness) will not play Friday vs. Orlando and is questionable for Saturday vs. Boston.

Bayless had platelet-rich plasma (PRP) treatment on his wrist earlier this week and is not yet ready for game action. Sergio Rodriguez will likely start in his place on Friday, with T.J. McConnell as the first point guard off the bench. Rodriguez has averaged 8.2 points, 7.0 assists and 3.1 rebounds in the 17 games he has started this season.
Dec 2 - 11:28 AM

Kevin Durant matched his season-high 39 points on 12-of-28 from the field during a 132-127 double-overtime loss at home to the Rockets on Thursday, adding 13 rebounds, two assists, three steals, three blocks and three 3-pointers.

The Warriors were not in a good rhythm on offense and Draymond Green said KD was stuck with some tough shots. Durant went 1-of-7 in OT and said he wasn't tired and just missed his shots, so at least that's a positive with Durant playing 49 minutes. KD has also lost his lead for true shooting percentage with Patty Mills leapfrogging him, but he's still the No. 1 player in standard leagues.
Dec 2 - 3:22 AM

Draymond Green scored a season-high 20 points against the Rockets on Thursday, adding 15 rebounds, nine assists, one block and two steals in 47 minutes.

He was hit with a flagrant foul in overtime for kicking James Harden in the head, so the league may take a look at it given his history. Although, he may not get an additional punishment and it didn't look as bad as some previous cases. He did say he was confused by the flagrant and non-flagrant foul calls and said he'll go read the rule book, so he may get a fine for that, too. On the season, Green's numbers have held steady with only a dip in scoring and an increase to his defensive stats. He's holding first-round value in standard leagues.
Dec 2 - 3:09 AM

Marc Gasol scored 25 points in 32 minutes during a 95-94 comeback win over the Magic on Thursday, adding two rebounds, three assists, five blocks, one steal and two 3-pointers.

What a huge win for the Grizzlies. Coach David Fizdale continues to talk up The Nasty Nine, and his squad has just been money in tough situations. In fact, the Grizzlies are now 5-0 on the second night of a back-to-back set and they improved to 8-0 when the margin is within three points in the final minute. As for Gasol, the solid playing time after 35 minutes on Wednesday. He'll likely get rest at some point, but expect Gasol to post great stats sans Mike Conley (back).
