Paul Pierce said following Wednesday's loss that he has one or two more years "at most" in his NBA career.

He finished with 19 points, two boards, two assists and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes during Wednesday's season-ending loss to the Heat. The 36-year-old swingman turned in a solid series vs. Miami, averaging 14.0 points on 46.6 percent from the field, but he didn't fare too well on defense. Pierce is almost a lock to move into the top 15 on the NBA's all-time scoring list next season, but his fantasy value is unlikely to be high enough to be selected in the first half of drafts.

Lauri Markkanen hit 5-of-12 shots for 14 points, a career-high 17 rebounds, two assists, a steal and two blocks in 40 minutes of Monday's OT loss to the Pelicans.

Markkanen missed all four of his 3-pointers but still had a really nice night. Bobby Portis played just 15 minutes and had eight points and seven rebounds, and if Nikola Mirotic is traded, Portis is still going to have to compete with Markkanen for playing time. Markkanen has been especially hot lately, checking in as the No. 15 fantasy player over his previous five games.

Malcolm Brogdon hit 11-of-14 shots, 3-of-4 3-pointers and 7-of-8 free throws for a career-high 32 points, four rebounds, two assists, three steals and a block in 35 minutes of Monday's win over the Suns.

Wow. He was on fire tonight and has been playing extremely well in January after a slow start to the season. He missed Saturday's game for personal reasons, but was back in full force and effect tonight. Jason Kidd is out for the Bucks and Brogdon had the best game of his career in his first game without him. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come from Brogdon the rest of the way, although it won't be easy for him to match it once Giannis Antetokounmpo is back from his knee injury.
Jan 22 - 11:03 PM

Timothe Luwawu scored a season-high 20 points in Monday's 105-101 loss to the Grizzlies, hitting 6-of-9 shots and 2-of-2 free throws.

TLC played 30 minutes for the second game in a row, hitting six triples with two assists and a block. He had 16 points in his last outing with three more triples, as the second-year wing continues to make the most of his opportunity with J.J. Redick (leg) and Jerryd Bayless (wrist) out. The 76ers play three mores times this week and have four games the following week, so TLC is worth a look as a short-term pickup.
Jan 22 - 10:49 PM

Greg Monroe started on Monday and hit 9-of-11 shots for 19 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and five turnovers in 30 minutes.

He didn't block a shot and the TOs were a buzzkill, but he was great. If you used him in DFS, you fared well, but he's still a risky season-long pickup, given how the Suns have been so weird with their centers all season. But if this move to the starting unit becomes permanent, Monroe will be worth grabbing in all formats. Prior to tonight's explosion he had played a total of three minutes in his previous six games.
Jan 22 - 10:47 PM

Otto Porter has been diagnosed with a right hip strain and will not return to Monday's game vs. Dallas.

This is the same hip that's been bothering him for a long time, so this is a concern. His night finished with four points (2-of-8 FGs), six rebounds, one block and two steals. The Wizards do have a couple days off before taking on the Thunder on Thursday, but we'll consider him questionable for that contest. If does miss time, Kelly Oubre is the obvious pickup.
Jan 22 - 10:17 PM

Skal Labissiere scored a season-high 23 points with four rebounds, two assists, one block and one 3-pointer during a 112-107 loss to the Hornets on Monday.

He was very aggressive on the offensive end and his energy gave the team a big boost -- he was second on the team with a plus-five in plus-minus. With the Kings going to a youth movement, Labissiere should be seeing minutes every night and he does have some upside because they do want to get him going. He should be owned.
Jan 22 - 10:10 PM

Mason Plumlee will replace Trey Lyles in the starting lineup on Monday vs. the Blazers.

The Plumlee and Nikola Jokic combination hasn't really worked this season, so it's puzzling that coach Mike Malone keeps going back to it, especially with the Blazers starting Al-Farouq Aminu at the four. Regardless of where he begins the game, Plumlee is a low-end fantasy option while Jokic is active.
Jan 22 - 8:39 PM

John Wall (migraine) is listed in the starting lineup for Monday's game vs. Dallas.

He missed the morning shootaround and was a game-time call, meaning he's probably not 100 percent. His season-long owners should deploy him and hope for the best, and be sure to check back after the game to see how he fares.
Jan 22 - 8:10 PM

Jarell Martin (hand) and Dillon Brooks (illness) are starting against the 76ers on Monday.

JaMychal Green (ankle) is out, so Martin is looking at another solid workload for the Grizzlies. In his previous outing, Martin logged 35 minutes vs. the Pelicans with 11 points, four rebounds, two assists, one block and three triples. Andrew Harrison, Tyreke Evans and Marc Gasol are also starting.
Jan 22 - 7:53 PM

Andrew Harrison (left shoulder) and Mario Chalmers (right shoulder) will play vs. the 76ers on Monday.

When he was held out on Saturday, Ben McLemore got the start and scored 10 points in 22 minutes, while Wayne Selden came off the bench and scored 21 points in what was the best game of his career. This is a position battle to watch, but Harrison is nothing more than a deep-league fantasy asset that has been trending down for weeks.
Jan 22 - 7:31 PM

John Wall (migraine) is now a game-time call vs. the Mavericks on Monday.

Wall missed the morning shootaround, but it didn't sound like his status was in doubt. Maybe coach Scott Brooks just wants him to go through warmups first, but DFS owners will have to be careful here. If wall can't go, Tim Frazier and Tomas Satoransky will benefit, while Bradley Beal will see a bump in usage.
