The Brooklyn Nets announced on Thursday that point guard Deron Williams will have surgery on both ankles on May 27.

He mentioned in his exit interview that he anticipated having offseason ankle surgery, and now a date has been set. Williams will reportedly have a bone chip removed from his right ankle while his left will be scoped for removal of bone spurs. He is coming off a very disappointing postseason, averaging only 14.5 points and 5.8 assists in 12 games played. Rumors of the Nets seeking a trade partner willing to take the oft-injured point guard off their hands have already begun to surface, but with $63 million remaining on his contract, moving Williams will be very difficult.

Damian Lillard scored 34 points in a 128-103 blowout loss as the Blazers were swept 4-0 in the first round of the playoffs against the Warriors.

Lillard predicted that the Blazers would win the series in six games, but to his credit, he certainly did his part. He played 42 minutes and shot 12-of-24 from the field with six assists, one rebound, one steal and two triples, outscoring the other four Portland starters 34-15. Lillard finished the regular season as a top-20 player in standard fantasy leagues, averaging 27.0 points, 5.9 assists, 4.9 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 2.9 triples on 44.4 percent shooting. Barring some roster moves, Portland's core will be intact next season, so expect a similar role for Dame in 2017-18.

Paul Millsap flirted with a triple-double in Monday's Game 4 win over the Wizards, scoring 19 points with nine rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one triple.

Markieff Morris called him a "crybaby" after Game 3, so this victory had to feel good and Millsap said on Sunday that he has enjoyed the banter so far. "It’s fun. I’m enjoying this. It’s been an interesting series," he said. "It’s also been one of the most fun series I’ve been a part of. I’m enjoying every minute of it." Millsap has been dominant in this series and was averaging 25.0 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists in his previous three games, so it's easy to see why Hawks owner Tony Ressler said this week that he will "make every effort imaginable" to re-sign him this summer.

Dennis Schroder scored 18 points to lead the Hawks to a 111-101 Game 4 win over the Wizards on Monday to tie the series 2-2, adding three rebounds, one assist and two triples in 28 minutes.

He picked up three fouls in the first quarter and didn't even play in the second, but he won this game for the Hawks. Schroder notched all 18 of his points after the break including 10 in the fourth quarter, and he hit a few huge daggers down the stretch to put this one out of reach. These playoffs have been his coming out party so far, as he was averaging 25.0 points and 8.0 assists in his previous three games.
Apr 24 - 11:43 PM

Bradley Beal scored 32 points in Monday's Game 4 111-101 loss to Atlanta, adding five rebounds, two assists, two steals and five 3-pointers in 39 minutes.

Despite shooting 39.7 percent from the field in the first three games of the series, Beal kept firing away tonight and finished 11-of-23 from the field. He recently said that he removed the word "miss" from his vocabulary to keep his confidence high, and with Beal getting back into a rhythm tonight, the Wizards should be confident with the series shifting back to Washington for Game 5 on Wednesday.
Apr 24 - 10:57 PM

Meyers Leonard will draw the start in Game 4 vs. the Warriors on Monday.

Leonard scored a combined two points in the first two games of the series and was a DNP-CD in Game 3, but he will get another chance with Jusuf Nurkic (leg) sitting this one out. He's been a huge letdown all season and there's no reason to trust him in fantasy lineups with Portland's season on the line. Noah Vonleh and Al-Farouq Aminu should be more involved tonight as well.
Apr 24 - 10:26 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo's 30 points weren't enough in a 118-93 loss to the Raptors in Game 5 on Monday.

He was coming off a 6-of-19 FG performance in Game 4 and got off to a nightmare start in the first quarter by hitting 1-of-6 shots, but he finally got things going in the second quarter when he hit all six of shots. Giannis finished the night 12-of-19 from the field in 41 minutes with nine rebounds, three assists, three steals and three blocks, but simply didn't have enough help -- only two of his teammates scored in double digits. The Bucks now trail the Raptors (3-2) for the first time in this series and will look to save their season in Game 6 on Thursday at home.
Apr 24 - 10:12 PM

Norman Powell started for the second game in a row in Game 5 vs. the Bucks on Monday and scored a playoff career-high 25 points on 8-of-11 shooting in 34 minutes.

Despite playing a total of six minutes prior to Game 3, Powell will likely end up being the biggest X-Factor in this series. He got off to a hot start tonight with 11 points in the first quarter and never looked back, adding four rebounds, four assists, three steals, one block and four triples to go with his 25 points. DeMar DeRozan said Powell's aggressiveness in the first unit spaces the floor for the Raptors and coach Dwane Casey praised him for staying ready, so expect him to keep seeing big minutes going forward.
Apr 24 - 9:47 PM

Kyle Lowry (back) scored 16 points (4-of-9 FGs, 6-of-6 FTs) with 10 assists, three boards, three steals and two triples in 36 minutes in a 118-93 Game 5 win over the Bucks on Monday.

He deserves a ton of credit for playing because he was clearly hurting out there. Lowry would try to avoid sitting down during his trips to the bench and was frequently stretching out his back on the baseline. He asked out of the game in the first couple minutes of the fourth quarter, but quickly returned and was able to hang in there. Lowry will now be able to rest up for a couple days for Game 6 on Thursday as the series shifts back to Milwaukee with the Raptors leading 3-2.
Apr 24 - 9:43 PM

Shaun Livingston (hand) and Matt Barnes (ankle) will not play in Game 4 vs. the Blazers on Monday.

Livingston has been out for a week, but if the Warriors sweep the series against Portland tonight he will get another 5-7 days to rest up for Round 2. Ian Clark will pick up the backup PG minutes again.
Apr 24 - 8:43 PM

Kevin Durant (calf) will play in Monday's Game 4 vs. the Blazers.

After sitting out the past two games as a precaution, it's a great sign to see KD returning even though the Warriors have a comfortable 3-0 series lead. Durant practiced over the weekend with no problems and the Warriors will not put a restriction on his minutes tonight. Patrick McCaw will head back to the bench and there will be less touches to go around for the other studs in Golden State.
Apr 24 - 8:42 PM

Gordon Hayward (food poisoning) is not on the injury report for Game 5 vs. the Clippers on Tuesday.

According to the report, only Alec Burks (knee) will be unavailable Tuesday. Hayward left Sunday's game after just nine minutes and was nowhere close to 100 percent, but we'll have a better idea of how he's feeling after the Tuesday morning shootaround. With Hayward likely back, Joe Johnson and Joe Ingles will lose a bit of appeal.
