Carmelo Anthony is hoping to make a final decision on where he will be playing next season by the second week of July, according a source of Yahoo! Sports.

The source also mentioned that currently there are no frontrunners in the 'Melo sweepstakes. Anthony is set to meet with the Knicks, Bulls, Lakers, Rockets and Mavericks, however, the Heat were not mentioned. Anthony has stated that he loves playing for New York, but he questions how long it will take before the Knicks are a contender again. Anthony would like to be in a winning situation now, and he knows if he remains in New York he will need to be patient. Phil Jackson has stated that he wants Carmelo to take a pay cut to give the Knicks greater flexibility with the salary cap, but also said he'd be willing to offer a max-deal if that's what it took to retain Anthony's services. Stay tuned.

Patrick Beverley (groin) will not play against the Wolves and Eric Gordon will get the start.

Feb 25 - 7:17 PM

Hollis Thompson will start at shooting guard against the Mavs on Saturday.

The Pelicans have Jrue Holiday, Tim Frazier and a bunch of 10-day deal guards for tonight. Thompson should be looking at minutes in the 20s while Frazier should see a decent amount of minutes next to Holiday. Frazier would be the better DFS play today.
Feb 25 - 7:11 PM

The Knicks will start Carmelo Anthony, Willy Hernangomez, Kyle O'Quinn, Derrick Rose and Courtney Lee against the 76ers on Saturday.

The Knicks will go bigger against the 76ers, which is interesting against a guy like Dario Saric at the four. O'Quinn will be worth a look in the short term, but he's as unpredictable as they come.
Feb 25 - 7:05 PM

Jerian Grant will start against the Cavs on Saturday.

Coach Fred Hoiberg said he wanted to keep Rajon Rondo in the rotation, so Grant may not get many minutes in the start. He's not a fantasy option.
Feb 25 - 7:03 PM

Nerlens Noel will come off the bench against the Pelicans on Saturday.

He is going to start very soon, but the Mavs will go with Dirk Nowitzki at center for at least one more time. Noel isn't in a better system compared to Philly, but there's no doubt he'll be getting more playing time. He should be a mid-round guy going forward.
Feb 25 - 7:00 PM

LeBron James (illness) will not play against the Bulls on Saturday night.

He is not even in the building due to his illness. Richard Jefferson will start for LeBron, but it'll obviously be a team effort to replace James' elite passing, 37.5 minutes and 29.2 usage rate. Via NBAWowy, Kyrie Irving has a whopping 45.5 usage rate in his 149 minutes without LeBron and Kevin Love(knee). There should be more shots for basically the entire rotation, as well.
Feb 25 - 6:49 PM

Al Jefferson (dental pain) is out for Saturday against the Heat.

He had a procedure earlier this week and will miss his second straight game. Rakeem Christmas was the backup five and actually played well, so maybe he can get 15 minutes behind Myles Turner. Christmas isn't an add almost anywhere, of course.
Feb 25 - 6:44 PM

Coach Brett Brown said he hopes to play Justin Anderson against the Knicks on Saturday.

With aging, oft-inured Gerald Henderson playing 31 minutes and Robert Covington playing some backup four, there's a good chance there are some minutes for Anderson to make his debut. He was a DNP-CD on Friday, so there's no need to add him almost anywhere yet.
Feb 25 - 6:13 PM

T.J. McConnell, Gerald Henderson, Robert Covington, Dario Saric and Jahlil Okafor will start against the Knicks on Saturday.

It's the same starting five for the 76ers tonight. We'll see if Okafor is on a short leash after Richaun Holmes lit it up on Friday night. Robert Covington also played 15 minutes at power forward on Friday, so there are minutes up for grabs on the wings.
Feb 25 - 6:10 PM

Nikola Vucevic (Achilles) will play against the Hawks on Saturday.

He gets the green light well before tip, so that's a good sign in the short term. On the other hand, it's never good to see a player on a bad team deal with Achilles soreness, so his fantasy owners will have to monitor him going forward. We'll let you know how he looks tonight.
Feb 25 - 5:20 PM

Deron Williams cleared waivers and is likely to sign with the Cavs.

Teams had the money under the cap to sign him, but he is now a free agent. Expect Williams to agree to a deal in the very near future to back up Kyrie Irving. He won't have much value on the nights Irving is active.
