Nerlens Noel will play in Tuesday's Orlando Pro Summer League game vs. the Rockets.

The 76ers rested him on Sunday in the second half of a back-to-back set. Noel was fantastic in his debut on Saturday, scoring 19 points with four steals and a block. He looked spry and showed some decent offensive moves. He's a good bet to start for the 76ers next season and is on the radar as a value pick in fantasy drafts.

Kevin Durant's new shoe deal with Nike will be him upwards of $325 million.

ESPN's Darren Rovell reported that Durant will be paid $275 million as part of his new contract with Nike and receive $2.5 million per year in salary to go with a $25 million guaranteed payout upon retirement. While Under Armour made a serious play for Durant, Nike ponied up some serious cash to keep Durant in their portfolio if these numbers are correct. Durant finished the 2013-14 season as fantasy basketball's best player and any owner lucky enough to land the No. 1 overall selection in their draft shouldn't hesitate to have Durant queued up.

Omer Asik posted 16 points, 20 rebounds, and one block in Turkey's 64-58 loss to Ukraine on Tuesday.

While Asik only shot 4-for-11 from the floor, he surprisingly knocked down eight of 10 attempts from the free throw line. While the FIBA World Cup competition isn't quite the NBA, it's a good sign to see the 28-year-old post such gaudy numbers. He'll get an increased opportunity to produce alongside Anthony Davis in 2014-15 and is worth a late-round pick in standard fantasy leagues.

League executives think Rajon Rondo will start the 2014-15 season with the Boston Celtics due to a lack of leverage in his trade request.

With rumors swirling that Rajon Rondo wants out of Boston, rival league executives don't think he has the same leverage that Kevin Love had with the Timberwolves. "Minnesota had to trade Kevin Love because they had [nobody] remotely close to [his talent level] now, or going forward, on the roster," a league source said. "When Boston drafted Marcus Smart, that took away a lot of leverage Rondo might have had in demanding a trade. Rondo provides massive assist potential regardless of his uniform and a mid-season trade would create a win-win opportunity for fantasy owners as Marcus Smart would immediately become fantasy relevant.

Derrick Rose said he was "feeling good" after Team USA's back-to-back set.

"I know the questions are going to come and they're going to be there the whole year. So I can’t get tired of it," said Rose regarding questions about the health of his knees. "I’m feeling good right now. Just trying to get in better shape, get in better condition, so that when I do need to score the ball, then it’ll be there." Team USA will have three games in three nights following Monday's "rest day," and that will be a good test for Rose. Rose is correct in assuming the questions will continue to come in all season regarding the health of his knees, and that any minor setback will make headlines. But with just 10 games played in the past two seasons, the concern is reasonable. Rose will be a high-risk, and highly stressful player to own for the 2014-15 season, but his upside is first-round value.

Rajon Rondo reportedly would like to begin the 2014-15 season with the Celtics and then see where things go from there.

Rondo wants to be on a winning team, but he's willing to see if the current roster the Celtics have can outperform their expectations. However, if the Celtics start heading down the same path they went down last season, Rondo will want out. The unfortunate thing for Rondo, is the established contenders (LAC, CLE, OKC, SA) are already set at the point guard position, so if Rondo were to be traded, he'd likely find himself in a similar situation that he's in with Boston now. And with Rondo destined to become an unrestricted free agent at the conclusion of the 2014-15 season, teams may be reluctant to offer up assets for a guy unwilling to be part of a rebuilding process.

Team USA survived a scare from Turkey on Sunday, led by a 22-point game from Kenneth Faried and a second-half surge from Anthony Davis.

The U.S. trailed by five points at halftime as Turkey's zone defense initially gave them fits. They pounded the ball inside in the second half and quickly regained control of the game before cruising to a 98-77 victory. It was a good test for Team USA, which will return to action vs. Group C opponent New Zealand on Tuesday.

The Kings are reportedly finalizing a trade that will send Jason Terry to the Rockets for Alonzo Gee and other non-guaranteed contracts.

The Kings gain salary-cap space and the Rockets also get a pair of second-round draft picks in the bargain. Terry made no secret of his desire to leave the Kings and he'll finally get his wish, joining a playoff contender with a need for a backup combo guard. He played only 35 games last year before a left knee injury shut him down, but the 36-year-old is back on the court and should participate fully in training camp. As long as Patrick Beverley and James Harden are healthy, however, he's not a viable fantasy option.

Anthony Davis had 17 points, four rebounds and zero blocks in Saturday's easy Team USA 114-55 win over Finland.

Davis was great, despite the yawner of a stat line, and he's been going at No. 2, over LeBron James, in many of the early drafts we've taken part in. Klay Thompson was great with 18 points and four 3-pointers to lead the team in scoring, while teammate Stephen Curry struggled, hitting just 1-of-6 shots, missing all five of his 3-pointers and scoring just four points in the blowout.

Derrick Rose will come off the bench against Finland on Saturday in Team USA's FIBA opener.

Kyrie Irving will get the start and has earned it due to his outstanding showing this month. Rose said he's "feeling good right now" and we should get to see how he handles so many games in in short period of time. He's a huge risk in fantasy leagues.

Timofey Mozgov said on Thursday that "all the talks about [a] trade to Cleveland are just rumors."

"My last season in Denver was good," he continued. "And to try and do something to leave the team wouldn’t be smart." Mozgov also admitted that he does not want to join the Cavaliers to simply coast to a championship. "I would like to play with LeBron. But even though playing for a contender is cool, you got to understand that I want to be part of the team and not to just join a contender and ride the coattails, being a burden."

Dante Exum will come off the bench for Australia at the World Cup of Basketball.

Team Australia begins group play at the World Cup on Sunday against Team Slovenia and head coach Andrej Lemanis is expected to utilize Exum off the bench. "Having Dante come off the bench and make an impact is something which is good for us," Lemanis said. Exum may see a similar role with the Utah Jazz as he acclimates to playing in the NBA, so fantasy owners would be wise to wait until the end of their drafts to take a flier on the Australian.
