Otto Porter was terrific in his Las Vegas Summer League debut, making 11-of-16 from the field for 25 points with seven boards, three assists, one 3-pointer and three turnovers.

He couldn't stay healthy leading up to his rookie season and was buried on the depth chart. The loss of Trevor Ariza may have created an opening for Porter and we'll see how the Wizards look to fill that void. As for today, Porter really put it all together on offense with his mid-range game as his best asset. He was also very active in sharing the ball. If he can keep it going, he'll be on fantasy map in deep leagues, especially with Martell Webster's back injury.

The Rockets have already met with LaMarcus Aldridge.

He is scheduled to meet with seven teams, but he could get through all seven in 24 hours at this rate. Aldridge is one of the biggest dominoes to fall in free agency, so it should happen in the next couple days. He'll be getting a max deal from the Spurs, Mavs, Rockets, Lakers, Suns, Raptors or Knicks.

Monta Ellis is engaged in serious talks on a possible three-year, $32 million-plus deal with the Pacers.

The Pacers are already missing a shooting guard to their arsenal. Monta is a far better fit next to Paul George than Lance Stephenson or Rodney Stuckey, so it makes sense for the team to sign him. The Mavs, Heat, Nuggets and Hawks could also get in the mix here. As for Monta's fantasy value, it would do quite well in Indiana.

The Warriors' first call in the free agency period was to restricted free agent Draymond Green.

He's staying? Yeah. He's likely to get close to a max deal? Yeah. Parade references aside, it would be a shock to see Draymond on another team next year. Expect this deal to get done quickly for the second-round fantasy talent.
Jul 1 - 4:32 AM

Greg Monroe has already had meetings with the Knicks and Bucks.

Both teams are looking for a power forward with the Knicks almost in dire straits in that regard. Monroe was sub-par in rim protection last season, which has been a glaring weakness for the Knicks in the past few seasons. Still, Phil Jackson could wind up overpaying for Monroe this summer.
Jul 1 - 4:25 AM

The Bucks and Khris Middleton are nearing a five-year, $70 million deal.

What a difference three months makes, right? Middleton was behind Jared Dudley on the depth chart at the time of Jabari Parker's knee injury, but he turned in one of the best finishes of any player in the 2015 part of the season. In that span, Middleton averaged 16.7 points, 4.9 boards, 3.0 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.5 treys, which gave him third-round value in fantasy leagues. He'll be an early mid-round fantasy target next year with Jabari back.

Free agent Monta Ellis and his family will reportedly travel to Indiana to meet with Pacers officials on Wednesday.

Adrian Wojnarowski reports that Pacers president Larry Bird is determined to sign Ellis, and the team is "pushing hard" to finish a deal. The Pacers ranked 19th in pace last season (95.5 possessions per game) and they're intent on playing faster in 2015-16, which helps account for their pursuit of Monta. If he does agree to terms with the Pacers, they may be less inclined to re-sign unrestricted free agents Rodney Stuckey, C.J. Watson and Donald Sloan.

The Nets and Brook Lopez are finalizing a deal worth a reported $60 million over three years.

Brooklyn prioritized BroLo in free agency, particularly after trading away Mason Plumlee on draft night, and they quickly locked him up just hours into free agency. Lopez played 72 games last season, quelling concerns about his surgically-reconstructed foot, and he's a solid top-40 fantasy player when healthy. The deal reportedly gives Lopez a third-year player option, and it also includes "some protections for the Nets should a recurrence of Lopez's past foot issues sideline him again."

The Brooklyn Nets will re-sign Thaddeus Young to a four-year, $50 million deal on Wednesday.

No surprises here. The Nets made it clear that re-signing Young was a priority this summer, and they didn't waste any time getting a deal done. The Nets recently traded Mason Plumlee to the Blazers, so Young should be locked in as the starting power forward next season. Young will be a solid mid-round pick in fantasy drafts this season.

Jimmy Butler is "considering accepting" the Bulls' max five-year contract offer, according to RealGM's Shams Charania.

The contract would reportedly include a player option for the 2019-20 season and Butler "plans to sleep on [the] decision." This undermines previous reports stating that Butler preferred a one-year deal with the Lakers, and the maximum salary offered may be enough to keep Jimmy in Chicago long-term. He could make his decision as soon as Wednesday.

The Brooklyn Nets are nearing an agreement to re-sign Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young.

There doesn't appear to be any drama in Brooklyn right now, and it sounds like the Nets could have a deal in place for both players very soon. Lopez is reportedly looking for a three-year, $60 million deal, while Young is targeting a four-year, $50 million deal. Stay tuned.
Jul 1 - 12:48 AM

Al-Farouq Aminu has agreed to a four-year, $30 million deal with the Trail Blazers.

Aminu was reportedly a target of the Celtics, Raptors, Pelicans, Knicks and Mavericks, but Portland ponied up a lot of cash to bring him to Rip City. The Blazers recently traded Nicolas Batum and could lose Wesley Matthews and Arron Afflalo in free agency, so Aminu will almost certainly be starting at small forward on opening night. Aminu averaged 11.2 points, 7.2 boards, 1.2 assists, 1.6 blocks, 2.0 steals and 1.4 3-pointers in 30.0 minutes per game during the playoffs last season, so we know what he can do with an expanded role. Aminu is shaping up to be a steal in the later rounds of fantasy drafts next season.
