The Bucks officially claimed PG Kendall Marshall off waivers on Sunday.

Marshall's contract will pay him a relatively meager $915k next season, making him a cost-effective addition to the Bucks' backcourt. He started 45 games for L.A. last year, and despite struggling after the All-Star break he still shot 39.9 percent from downtown. Unfortunately, he's unlikely to have a big fantasy impact while Brandon Knight and Nate Wolters are healthy, especially if coach Jason Kidd follows through on his plan to use Giannis Antetokounmpo at PG.

Michael Carter-Williams scored just 10 points on 3-of-12 from the field against the Grizzlies on Saturday with three rebounds, six assists, five turnovers and two 3-pointers.

He just can't shoot. Carter-Williams is making a respectable 58.3 percent of his shots from inside of three feet, but he's useless everywhere else. In fact, MCW is making just 26.9 percent of his shots from beyond three feet this season. The trade rumors aren't going to be going away on MCW and he's probably not going to be a top-100 player in standard leagues. Just for fun, Kyle Korver's effective field goal percentage (70.7) is 30.1 greater than MCW's (40.6). MCW's usage rate (27.9) is almost double Korver's (14.4). That's a problem.

Giannis Antetokounmpo turned the ball over a career-high seven times against the Pistons on Saturday with six points, five rebounds, four assists and two blocks in 36 minutes.

It was one of his worst games on offense in quite some time. On the bright side, the defensive output is really coming on strong. Since Christmas, he has 1.1 steals and 1.6 blocks per game. Antetokounmpo's efficiency hasn't fallen off either, so he is slowly but surely getting better. He should be owned in all leagues.

O.J. Mayo kept it going against the Pistons on Saturday with 20 points, three rebounds, three assists, two steals and four 3-pointers on 8-of-14 from the field.

He's been in a bizarro world lately. O.J. Miracle Whip? Kidding aside, Mayo has a Kyle Korver like 70.8 effective field goal percentage in his last six games, averaging 15.2 points, 2.5 boards, 2.5 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.5 blocks and 2.5 treys. This is probably the hottest he'll be, but he's been too good to ignore. If you need scoring, give him a long look.

Marvin Williams has been diagnosed with a concussion.

It's been a bloodbath with the injuries today and Williams is going to have to go through the concussion protocol. The good news for the Hornets is that they're off until Wednesday, so Williams may not miss any time. Although, he was awfully groggy on Saturday. Cody Zeller will play a few more minutes.
Jan 24 - 10:38 PM

Marcus Smart (personal) will not play against the Warriors on Sunday due to a death in his family.

He will rejoin the team in Utah for Monday's game. With Smart out, Evan Turner will play most of his minutes at point guard, so that should open up more run for Jae Crowder. Phil Pressey will also get a few more minutes of action.
Jan 24 - 10:33 PM

D.J. Augustin played 15 minutes on Saturday against the Bucks with two points and two steals.

Despite the awful game, Augustin is set for a significant bump on playing time. Brandon Jennings (leg) is possibly out for the season, so expect DJA to play close to 30-35 minutes. He can add some steals, dimes and triples, which makes him some worth grabbing in all standard leagues.
Jan 24 - 10:18 PM

Coach Stan Van Gundy said Brandon Jennings' foot injury "doesn't look good" and he will be out for the foreseeable future.

The Pistons will give him an MRI in the coming days to confirm the diagnosis. Looking at the circumstantial evidence, Jennings is likely out for the season with an Achilles tear. To be clear, that is still just an educated guess and it has not been confirmed. D.J. Augustin is going to pick up around 10 minutes per game and should be owned in all standard leagues. Spencer Dinwiddie will also play more. Hopefully, we're wrong on Jennings.
Jan 24 - 10:09 PM

Al Jefferson blocked a season-high seven shots during a 76-71 win over the Knicks on Saturday, adding nine points, six rebounds and one turnover on 4-of-14 from the field in 30 minutes.

He started the second half because of the injury to Bismack Biyombo (knee). Jefferson didn't quite look like his old self and had some trouble establishing position on the low block on offense, but he obviously played well on defense with his seven blocks. The Hornets are off for a few days, so it would be a good bet that Big Al starts in his next game.
Jan 24 - 10:04 PM

Allen Crabbe will start in place of Nicolas Batum (wrist) on Saturday.

The Wheel of Stotts goes round and round for his starter and tonight it landed on Crabbe. He's one of about eight players who will pick up Batum's minutes, so he can be left on the wire in most leagues.
Jan 24 - 9:54 PM

Tim Hardaway started strong against the Hornets on Saturday with 25 points, six rebounds, five assists, one block and five 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

He scored a quick 10 points in the first quarter and had his best offensive game in 2015. Hardaway was losing minutes to a host of players and he played just 18.5 minutes per game over his previous two, so he'll have to do a little more than this going forward. Langston Galloway is the preferred grab, but keep an eye on THJ.
Jan 24 - 9:42 PM

Lance Thomas played a whopping 41 minutes against the Hornets on Saturday with 16 points, eight rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and five turnovers.

He was extremely active with his elbow touches on offense and coach Derek Fisher actually ran isolation plays for him like his name was Carmelo Anthony (rest). Thomas made just 22.2 percent from the field last season, but he's become a great offensive guy for the Knicks on their Island of Misfit Players. He is still on a 10-day deal, but give him a look in deep leagues. To be clear, he'll likely play minutes in the mid 20s on nights Melo plays.
