Dwyane Wade indicated in a recent interview that he plans to play in 75-plus games next season.

Wade may be shooting for 75-plus games, but his knees may have a different plan in store. Wade sat out 28 games last season, with 13 of those DNP's due to rest. He didn't look capable of carrying a team during the 2014 Finals as he shot just a combined 7-of-25 from the floor during the final two games of the series. Players that rely on their explosive athleticism in favor of a solid jumper typically have a quicker fall from grace than the latter, but it's too early to declare Wade as washed up. A bounce-back year isn't out of the question, especially with the larger offensive role he'll need to take on, but he will be a very risky pick come draft day and we wouldn't recommend taking him in the early rounds.

Gordon Hayward was on fire in the Jazz's 110-100 win over the Warriors on Friday, scoring 26 points on 9-of-20 shooting (1-of-3 from deep, 7-of-8 from the line) with 15 rebounds, six assists and three steals.

So much for that sinus congestion. He settled down after a real hot start, but he is starting to push his way back up the ranks, now sitting at a top 25-35 return on the season (8/9 cat). Derrick Favors added 15 points, four rebounds, two steals and three blocks in the win.

Hassan Whiteside probably upped his 2K rating once again in the Heat's 93-72 loss to the Mavs on Friday, scoring 16 points on 7-of-11 shooting with 24 rebounds, one steal and one block in 29 minutes.

Hopefully you didn't drop him or sell him at some low-rent rate. He's bringing back late first-round fantasy value over the past 11 games as waiver wire pickup of the year in both fantasy and reality.
Jan 31 - 2:10 AM

Charlie Villanueva scored a season-high 20 points off the bench on Friday, hitting six threes with five rebounds and one block in 23 minutes.

Villanueva had a few nice games earlier in the month but has been dead quiet ever since. If he can parlay this into a few nice outings in a row we'll let you know.
Jan 31 - 1:58 AM

Eric Gordon scored 28 points on 10-of-20 shooting (including five threes) with two rebounds, seven assists and one steal in Friday's win over the Clippers.

With Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday out his touches were bound to increase and he's doing his part to give something back at the tail-end of a tumultuous contract. He's a must-start player until further notice.
Jan 31 - 1:45 AM

Chris Paul scored 24 points on 10-of-20 shooting (including three treys) with eight rebounds, seven assists and three steals in Friday's loss to the Pelicans.

Paul has been a top 5-6 player this season and that's right around his ADP. DeAndre Jordan went for 12 and 15 with three blocks in the loss.
Jan 31 - 1:39 AM

Jonas Valanciunas limped out of the arena on Friday due to an ankle injury and is up in the air for Saturday against the Wizards.

He played very well tonight and returned from the injury. Valanciunas made all seven shots from the field for 14 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks in 33 minutes tonight. His ankle is likely going to swell up on him, so Patrick Patterson will likely benefit the most.
Jan 30 - 10:51 PM

Brook Lopez scored 35 points against the Raptors during a 127-122 overtime loss on Friday with 12 rebounds, three steals and three blocks in 41 minutes.

Jarrett Jack and Lopez were the first Nets teammates to score at least 35 points since 1981 (Mike Newline and Cliff T. Robinson). Obviously Lopez is healthy right now and the Nets are probably going to be asking a little more in a trade following this gem. He's a must-start player now, but there are a lot of things that could go wrong. If you can sell high, do it.
Jan 30 - 10:49 PM

Jarrett Jack scored a career-high 35 points against the Raptors on Friday, adding eight rebounds, 13 assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

The Nets said they wanted to keep Jack's minutes down, but tonight was the most playing time he's ever had in an NBA game. Deron Williams (ribs) is going to be back at some point, but Jack will likely get minutes in the mid 20s when that happens. He should be owned everywhere.
Jan 30 - 10:45 PM

Donatas Motiejunas made 11-of-16 from the field for a career-high 26 points against the Celtics on Friday during a 93-87 win, adding 12 rebounds, one assist and three 3-pointers.

He had a productive 16-point game on Wednesday and the loss of Dwight Howard seems like it'll help out D-Mo quite a bit. Motiejunas is more than capable of playing center for the Rockets and the team is really going to push the pace now that they'll have smaller lineups, so he's going to be worth owning in standard leagues for now.
Jan 30 - 10:39 PM

Jeff Teague scored 17 points in a 105-99 win over the Blazers on Friday, adding seven rebounds, eight assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer.

The Hawks have won 18 games in a row and are 32-2 since Thanksgiving. They will take on the 76ers on Saturday, the Pelicans on Monday, the Wizards on Wednesday, and then the Warriors on Friday in what's shaping up to be the best game of the season. As for Teague, he's a top-10 fantasy guard and his owners can enjoy the ride.
Jan 30 - 10:14 PM

Al Horford filled the stat sheet against the Blazers on Friday with 17 points, eight rebounds, four assists, three steals, two blocks and one 3-pointer.

He's on fire. In his previous 10 games, Horford averaged 17.9 points, 7.9 boards, 5.1 assists, 1.2 blocks and 0.7 steals on 71.1 percent from the field. He's certainly capable of being a top-10 fantasy asset and his owners should be asking for a lot if they want to sell high.
