The Timberwolves and Cavaliers have come to agreement on a trade that will send Kevin Love to Cleveland, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

The deal cannot be announced until August 23, but Love has reportedly agreed to sign a 5-year, $120 million contract extension with Cleveland as part of the deal while the Timberwolves will receive Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett, and a protected 2015 draft pick. The Cavs will now pair Love with LeBron James and Kyrie Irving to form it's own "Big 3", while the Wolves get the top picks of the last two NBA Drafts to rebuild with. We still have Love as a first-round fantasy pick for 2014-15, but a likely scoring dip pushes his fantasy value back to the end of the first round.

Nicolas Batum (wrist) said that he will play Friday vs. the Hawks.

Batum is going to have a very difficult matchup against DeMarre Carroll of the Hawks today, and with the way he's been struggling as of late, Batum doesn't look like a great play in daily leagues.

Nicolas Batum (wrist) is not being listed on the Trail Blazers' injury report.

While this isn't a definitive statement that Batum will suit up for Friday's game against the Hawks, it is an encouraging sign. We'll continue to monitor his status closely, but it should be noted that Batum has an unfavorable matchup today against the Hawks, so he's not looking like a great option in daily leagues.
Jan 30 - 11:26 AM

LeBron James (wrist) was a limited participant during shootaround, and he remains doubtful for Friday's game vs. the Kings.

James has been taking more time off than usual this season, and that has to be frustrating to owners who burned a No. 1 or 2 overall selection on him on draft day. If James sits, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love will be the primary beneficiaries, with J.R. Smith also seeing some increased opportunities on offense.
Jan 30 - 11:19 AM

Kevin Love said that he is feeling good physically, and while Chris Kaman's knee to his thigh hurt, he is a go for Friday's game against the Kings.

Those that made a speculative add of Tristan Thompson with the hopes that Love would be unavailable Friday should now temper their expectations. Love will draw a very favorable matchup against the Kings on Friday, and if LeBron James (wrist) is again sidelined, Love will have plenty of opportunity on offense. Stay tuned.

With Dwyane Wade (hamstring) sidelined, it's likely that Norris Cole will slide into the starting lineup for Miami's game against Dallas on Friday, according to beat reporter Ira Winderman.

While this is just speculation, the move does make sense as it would help combat the quickness of Rajon Rondo and Monta Ellis. Shabazz Napier will also be an option for Erik Spoelstra and we'll be sure to list the starters prior to tip-off. However, Mario Chalmers and Chris Bosh are likely the guys to benefit most with Wade sidelined, and those are the guys that should be targeted in daily leagues.

The Magic are reportedly very close to firing head coach Jacque Vaughn, and it's gotten to the point that it's not if, but when.

Currently, the only reason Vaughn remains the head coach of the Magic is the lack of a natural candidate to promote to interim head coach from a young, inexperienced staff of assistants. While Vaughn has been successful in creating an environment of player development and hard work in the post-Dwight Howard era, the Magic's continued struggles on the defensive end and unimpressive play at home have some calling for his job.

Jimmy Butler said he hurt his left knee against the Lakers on Thursday and is unsure if he will play against the Suns on Friday.

He didn't go to the locker room and was not in visible pain on the bench in the closing minutes of the game. Butler usually sucks it up and plays through minor injuries, so he has a good chance to play on the second game of a back-to-back set. If he is out, Tony Snell and Aaron Brooks benefit most.

Wayne Ellington made 9-of-19 from the field for 23 points during a 123-118 double-overtime victory over the Bulls on Thursday, adding five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

His style of play has completely changed. Ellington would basically just hang around the 3-point line to space the floor, but now he's creating off the dribble. He had nine shots in the paint tonight and coach Byron Scott seems to have complete trust in Ellington as his primary scorer. The 27-year-old swingman is a decent shooter from the field, effective at the line and should add some other stats with the scoring, so he's worth a look in standard leagues.
Jan 30 - 2:02 AM

Jordan Hill scored a season-high 26 points against the Bulls on Thursday with 12 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and one steal in 41 minutes.

The Lakers gambled here with all of this playing time for Hill, but he looked great in the second overtime. Hill has become a bigger part of the offense in his last 13 games with 12.9 attempts per game from the field, averaging 14.6 points, 8.7 boards, 1.4 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.5 blocks on 51.2 percent shooting. He should be owned in all leagues following this game.
Jan 30 - 1:47 AM

Jordan Clarkson played 43 minutes against the Bulls on Thursday during a double-overtime win, scoring 18 points with four rebounds, four assists, two steals, two blocks and one 3-pointer.

It's becoming abundantly clear that Clarkson has his starting job locked down. He is a playmaker for the Lakers and they'll need someone like that in their starting unit. Plus, he's been exceptional at beating guys off the dribble in his rookie season. Clarkson won't be a fantasy stud because of his turnovers and sub-par shooting, but the steals and other stats make him worth a look in standard leagues.
Jan 30 - 1:40 AM

Pau Gasol returned to the Staples Center to face the Lakers in a double-overtime 123-118 loss on Thursday, scoring 20 points with 10 rebounds, six assists and four blocks in 44 minutes.

He received a standing ovation from his former home crowd and the fans even received a Pau Gasol T-shirt. It's pretty clear Gasol made the right move heading to Chicago and he's been one of the best big men in the NBA in his age-34 season. There's no need to sell high unless you can trade him for a first-round asset.
