Warriors PF/C Marreese Speights will appear in court for a DUI arraignment on September 16.

The court date shouldn't conflict with any of Speights' professional obligations, but he's likely to face a short suspension once the legal process concludes. P.J. Tucker was recently suspended three games for his "super extreme" DUI arrest, but a two-game suspension is typical.

The Wizards and free agent Bradley Beal are reportedly "nearing" agreement on a five-year, $128 million maximum contract.

Washington has long been expected to offer Beal a max deal, despite recurring leg injuries that forced him to miss 27 games last season. By quickly reaching an agreement but officially signing Beal late in free agency, they can also proceed with roughly $30 million in cap space to spend elsewhere. All signs point to the Wizards locking up Beal for the long-haul.

Unrestricted free agent Joakim Noah and the Knicks are in discussions on the framework of a deal in range of four years, $70 million-plus, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical.

Interesting. It's very odd to see a team offer four years on Noah, who really has struggled to stay healthy and is now 31 years old There are also a decent amount of centers out there on the market, so investing this amount of money this early is surprising. The Knicks and Noah are expected to meet in Orlando on Friday.

The Lakers are making a serious run at free agent center Timofey Mozgov according to Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

The Lakers only have one center under contract in rookie Ivica Zubac, so this would be a nice landing spot for Mozgov. With that said, Mozgov looked like a shell of himself in Cleveland last season and eventually fell out of the rotation, posting averages of 6.3 points, 4.4 boards and 0.8 blocks in 17.4 minutes. Wojnarowski is reporting that the Lakers might offer a "significant four-year deal."

Unrestricted free agent Kent Bazemore planned to hold off meetings until July 5, but is meeting with the Rockets, according to The Vertical's Shams Charania.

James Harden is attending the meeting with Bazemore. The Rockets could have some money to spend with Dwight Howard not coming back, but adding a wing isn't the highest priority. Although, coach Mike D'Antoni's system would be great for Bazemore. He is likely going to get a salary in the teens per year.

According to Ken Berger of CBS Sports, Andre Drummond is expected to quickly agree to terms on a new deal with the Pistons.

Berger also indicated that the Drummond deal could be one of the first agreements once free agency officially begins. This was the expectation all along since Drummond is a restricted free agent, and the big man is fully expected to receive a max deal unless the Pistons convinced him to take a slight discount.

Oklahoma City "continues to probe" for potential trade partners on Enes Kanter to free up money for a run at unrestricted free agent Al Horford, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Things are starting to pick up on Horford here, especially with the Thunder now very likely to keep Kevin Durant. The Thunder knew they had a lot of money tied up in Kanter, which somewhat explains their reasoning on Serge Ibaka. Kanter's fantasy value would be much, much better on another team. Kanter does have a veto power on this, so a lot needs to happen here.

The Thunder are in a "strong position" to re-sign unrestricted free agent Kevin Durant, according to ESPN's Marc Stein.

Durant and his manager, Charlie Bell, met with the Thunder for five hours in their meeting today. He is going to meet with five other teams before he comes back to Oklahoma City on Sunday. Even with the non-OKC teams having only a small chance to sign him, they will likely put their Plan B on hold while Durant weighs his options.

The Mavericks are emerging as a frontrunner for unrestricted free agent Hassan Whiteside, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports.

The Heat have lost ground on Whiteside, according to Wojnarowski. The 2016 All-Defensive Second Team big man looks like he'll be commanding a max deal after turning in only around 1.5 seasons of productivity. If the Mavs are willing to max him, it looks like they might have their center this time around.

Darrun Hilliard suffered a stress fracture of his lower back and will not participate in 2016 NBA Orlando Summer League.

This is tough news for Hilliard because he would have been a key part of the action in Orlando. He might have had a chance to get some minutes this season with Jodie Meeks being traded to Orlando. He will be evaluated in the coming days and the team will share its prognosis after that.

The Raptors are reportedly trying to acquire Nerlens Noel.

Toronto is reportedly offering Terrence Ross and some other lower-tier players in exchange for Noel, which doesn't seem like great value for a guy that can protect the paint like Noel. The Raptors are aware that they may lose Bismack Biyombo via free agency, and would like to install Noel as their new backup center, so Noel's fantasy value would obviously take a pretty large hit north of the boarder.

There is reportedly "no chance" that Chandler Parsons will return to the Mavs as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

Out of all the reports of the teams that will be pursuing Parsons this offseason, not once has Dallas' franchise cropped up into the conversation, so it appears that Parsons' days as a Maverick are over. The Blazers will reportedly get a face-to-face sit down with Parsons, while the Knicks, Lakers and Grizzlies also remain in the running. Parsons' departure from Dallas will open up a ton of opportunity for Justin Anderson, assuming the Mavs don't bring in another small forward via free agency.
