Stephen Curry is likely to play off the ball more during the 2014-15 season, according to associate head coach Alvin Gentry.

The' offseason addition of Shaun Livingston will the Warriors to take some of the ball-handling pressure off their star guard. "I don’t know if he wants the ball in his hands that much at all like it’s been in the past," Gentry said. "It’s very tiresome when you come down and basically have the ball 80 percent of the time and you’re creating shots and everything for yourself as well as other players." Curry could see a minor dip in his assists based on this news, but an increase in his scoring numbers will help him retain top-5 fantasy value for the 2014-15 season.

D'Angelo Russell (knee) has been cleared to start going through on-court work with the Lakers, although he will not be traveling to Houston for Wednesday's game against the Rockets.

Dec 6 - 3:13 PM

Isaiah Thomas (groin) did not participate during Tuesday's practice.

Thomas tweaked his groin during Monday's loss to the Rockets, so for now, we're going to consider him questionable for Wednesday's game in Orlando. If he's out, Marcus Smart or Terry Rozier could move into the starting lineup, with Avery Bradley and Al Horford being asked to step it up on the offensive end. Owners can expect to get another update on Thomas' status following Wednesday morning's shootaround, but it's worth noting that he was able to get some shots up after practice.
Dec 6 - 2:58 PM

Larry Nance (right knee contusion) was a full participant during Tuesday's light practice.

Nance was available to play on Monday, but he didn't actually step foot on the court, although it sounds like there's a decent chance he gets back in the rotation for Wednesday's game in Houston. When Nance gets back, he'll take away some minutes from Julius Randle and Thomas Robinson could fall out of the rotation entirely.
Dec 6 - 2:50 PM

Rick Carlisle said that he expects Andrew Bogut to spend at least the next three games on the shelf after suffering a right knee injury during Monday's loss to the Hornets.

Bogut is currently undergoing an MRI, so we should have an updated and official timetable for his return soon, but it doesn't seem very likely that Bogut will be able to get back to the court until at least next Tuesday's game (Dec. 12) against the Nuggets. Salah Mejri could draw a few starts in Bogut's absence, but Dwight Powell is the guy you want to add in standard leagues.
Dec 6 - 2:40 PM

Eric Gordon (right ankle) says he feels "fine" and will practice on Tuesday and plans to play Wednesday.

Gordon tweaked his right ankle in Monday's win over the Celtics. Gordon has been red-hot of late. Over the Rockets last five games, Gordon is averaging 22.0 points, 3.2 assists and 4.4 three-pointers, while shooting 50.7 percent from the floor and 50.0 percent from downtown. Check back prior to Wednesday night just for confirmation, but it appears Gordon should be left in starting lineups.
Dec 6 - 1:37 PM

Reggie Jackson (knee, thumb) will remain on a minutes restriction Tuesday vs. Chicago.

Prior to his season debut on Sunday, the Pistons plan was to limit Jackson to approximately five minutes per quarter. He ended up playing a total of 23 minutes, tallying 18 points and four assists. Coach Stan Van Gundy declined to reveal the plan for Tuesday night, but it is probably safe to assume Detriot will try to limit Jackson to approximately 25 minutes. He can safely be inserted back into fantasy lineups.
Dec 6 - 12:06 PM

Zach Randolph (personal) is expected to play on Tuesday night vs. the Sixers.

Z-Bo has missed the Grizzlies previous seven games, after the passing of his mother on Thanksgiving. JaMychal Green has been playing well recently, averaging 10.4 points and 8.3 rebounds over 33.1 minutes in the seven games Randolph missed. Z-Bo's return will likely eat into Green's playing time a bit. Green averaged 28.6 minutes over Memphis' first 15 games this season.
Dec 6 - 11:06 AM

Coach Jeff Hornacek said he expects Courtney Lee (ankle) to play Tuesday vs. Miami

Lee has missed two straight games after spraining his ankle last Wednesday. Lee's return will bump Justin Holiday back to the bench. However, Holiday played well in his two spot starts, averaging 9.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.0 steals, which may have earned him additional playing time going forward. Lee is averaging 29.7 minutes per game this season, but may see those minutes reduced slightly if he doesn't pick up his level of play (he's sitting on a career-low 10.3 PER this season)
Dec 6 - 10:42 AM

Tony Parker left Monday's win over the Bucks with an apparent knee injury that coach Gregg Popovich said could keep him out for an extended period.

Having returned from a two-game stint on the injured list with a left thigh contusion, Parker left the game in Milwaukee in the third quarter. Parker has missed seven games this season with a variety of bumps and bruises. Coach Pop indicated after Monday’s setback that he might be forced to sit Parker for an extended period in order to heal again. "I think so," Popovich said. The Spurs play Tuesday in Minnesota and Thursday in Chicago. If Parker cannot play, rookie Nicolas Laprovittola is likely to replace him in the starting lineup, but Patty Mills is the biggest beneficiary.
Dec 6 - 9:20 AM

Rudy Gobert scored 14 points with 17 rebounds, five blocks, one assist and one steal in 39 minutes in a 107-101 win over the Lakers on Monday.

He tied his season highs in rebounds and blocks, shooting 4-of-7 from the field and 6-of-11 from the line. Gobert has been feasting all season long with averages of 10.8 points, 11.3 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game, and he's currently flirting with third-round value in standard leagues. He should have a big day against the Suns on Tuesday.
Dec 6 - 1:48 AM

Lou Williams lit up the Jazz for 38 points, seven assists, six rebounds, one steal and four triples in 34 minutes on Monday.

Incredible. This comes on the heels of a 40-point effort against the Grizzlies on Saturday, so he's clearly stepping up for a Lakers team that recently lost Jose Calderon (hamstring) and Nick Young (calf) to injuries. He hit 13-of-27 shots from the field and hit all eight of his free throws. D'Angelo Russell (knee) will be re-evaluated on Tuesday, and with Williams playing out of his mind right now, he's a very nice sell-high candidate.
