Free agent Emeka Okafor isn't expected to sign with a team until mid-season because he's still recovering from a herniated disc in his back.

Okafor's camp has been contacted by "roughly half the league," according to ESPN's Marc Stein, including the Cavaliers and the Heat. The best news here might be that Okafor's awful injury won't be career-ending, and the 31-year-old should still have a few productive years in the tank.

Marc Gasol hit a running jumper with 0.1 seconds left against the Rockets during a 102-100 win on Wednesday, finishing with 21 points, seven rebounds, six assists and one block on 10-of-14 from the field.

This was a huge win for Memphis because the Rockets were hot on their tails for the No. 2 seed, but now they have a 6.5 game cushion. As for Gasol, he was already coming in very hot in his previous six games since the break, averaging 17.3 points, 7.7 boards, 3.7 dimes, 2.2 blocks and 0.5 steals. He's a top-20 fantasy asset.

Terrence Jones looked great in a tough matchup against the Grizzlies on Wednesday with 21 points, nine rebounds, two steals, one steal and two blocks on 10-of-14 from the field in 36 minutes.

He is on fire. In his last five games, Jones averaged 19.6 points, 8.8 boards, 1.0 assists, 2.2 blocks and 1.0 turnovers on 64.1 percent from the field. He was a very efficient scorer as a backup center last year, but he's clearly surpassing all expectations. The Rockets are in no rush to bring Dwight Howard back and Jones should be a stud for the foreseeable future.
Mar 4 - 11:07 PM

Victor Oladipo hit 15-of-25 shots and four 3-pointers for a career-high 38 points to go along with four rebounds, three assists and three steals in 43 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Suns.

The bad news is that he had seven turnovers, but we doubt his owners hold it against him, especially after such a big scoring night. The Magic blew a 15-point lead in this one and Oladipo is on a roll, averaging 21.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.6 3-pointers over his last five games, while shooting a solid 47 percent from the floor. Yes, he's averaging 3.8 turnovers during that stretch as well, but that's to be expected with a young player having the ball in his hands so much.
Mar 4 - 10:19 PM

George Hill had an easy time with the Knicks on Wednesday with 21 points, three rebounds, six assists, one steal and three 3-pointers in 27 minutes.

After an ugly seven-point game to start his second half back on Feb. 20, Hill his starting to get it going again. In his last five, he averaged 15.6 points, 5.2 boards, 6.4 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.4 treys in 30.4 minutes. His groin injury looks to be behind him and he's shaping up to be a must-start player right now.
Mar 4 - 9:47 PM

Jared Dudley will start against the Warriors on Wednesday with Ersan Ilyasova coming off the bench.

Coach Jason Kidd said he likes Dudley's communication skills and he thinks the team needs that during this adjustment period. This isn't the first time Ilyasova gets bumped to the bench and it'll be interesting to see how he responds. Dudley can be left on the wire for now.
Mar 4 - 9:38 PM

O.J. Mayo will not play against the Warriors on Wednesday due to a hamstring injury.

He has been dealing with his on and off for a week, and the Bucks have been pretty quiet on the subject. This sounds eerily similar to last year and Mayo could miss more time. Jerryd Bayless and Tyler Ennis will get more run.
Mar 4 - 9:35 PM

Andrea Bargnani scored a game-high 25 points during a 105-82 loss to the Pacers on Wednesday, adding four rebounds, four assists, one steal, two blocks and two 3-pointers in 38 minutes.

He bounced back from scoring only three points on Tuesday. Bargnani has been somewhat consistent besides Tuesday, averaging 17.8 points, 5.0 boards, 2.6 assists, 1.0 blocks, 0.4 steals and 0.8 treys in 29.6 minutes per game over his last five. He's worth owning in standard leagues with the lack of talent around him, but his fantasy owners shouldn't be expecting lines like this one most nights.
Mar 4 - 9:24 PM

Jamal Crawford (calf) and Matt Barnes (hamstring) will not play against the Blazers on Wednesday.

Crawford suffered a calf injury on Monday and could not return. It was just a leg contusion, which continues to occur an inordinate amount of times this season. J.J. Redick is going to have to play a lot along with Austin Rivers stepping up. Jordan Hamilton may also play more.
Mar 4 - 8:55 PM

Nikola Pekovic (ankle) will have a minutes limit against the Nuggets on Wednesday.

Maybe the Wolves finally learned their lesson because Pek can't play over 30 minutes and stay healthy. He's still a risky player to own because the probability of him missing time is extremely high. Gorgui Dieng should be owned in all leagues.
Mar 4 - 7:04 PM

Robert Covington (elbow) will not play against the Thunder on Wednesday.

The team said he was hopeful to play today, but this isn't that surprising considering how often the 76ers sit guys down at less than 100 percent. Hopefully Covington will play over the weekend. He should be owned in all leagues. JaKarr Sampson will start, but can be left on the wire in almost all leagues.
Mar 4 - 6:38 PM

Marvin Williams will start at power forward with Cody Zeller coming off the bench against the Nets on Wednesday.

It's a matchup-based move against a smaller Brooklyn lineup. Williams and Zeller will likely play a similar amount of minutes tonight, so there's no need to adjust projections or fantasy value. In his previous 17 starts, Williams averaged 6.7 points, 3.4 boards, 1.3 assists and 1.3 treys, which obviously isn't great. Plus, the Hornets might switch back to Zeller starting over the weekend.
