Kyrie Irving returned from his facial injury and hit 8-of-20 shots and two 3-pointers for 25 points, three rebounds, five assists and a steal in 29 minutes in Tuesday's 109-102 win over the Nets.

Irving only missed two games (one full, played 2 minutes in the other) with the injury and looked great tonight. The mask appeared to be bothering him when the clock was stopped, but when he was moving and into the game, it appeared to have no effect. Hopefully you had him in your lineup tonight, as the 25 points tied for his second highest scoring game of the season. Irving hasn't been blowing anyone's mind with his fantasy play this season, but he's rolling and the Celtics have won 13 straight games.

Delon Wright scored a season-high 15 points as a fill-in starter on Sunday, making 6-of-12 FGs and 3-of-3 FTs with eight rebounds, four assists and one steal in 38 minutes.

Kyle Lowry (bruised left thigh) and Fred VanVleet (back) were both sidelined tonight, so Wright got the start and made the most of his opportunity. The Raptors' next game is at home on Wednesday but Wright isn't a great hold since Lowry and VanVleet are both day-to-day. Just keep this performance in mind if those guys do miss more games.
Dec 16 - 11:07 PM

Luka Doncic finished Sunday's home loss with 28 points, nine assists, six rebounds and one steal, making 9-of-15 field goals and 9-of-14 free throws.

Prior to the game, Kings coach Dave Joerger said to reporters, "Perhaps there was an idea that there was a ceiling on [Doncic]. I don't see it, unfortunately for us." Sacramento drafted Marvin Bagley III one spot ahead of Doncic this summer, of course, but this sounds like more of a shot at the Kings' front office than a knock on Bagley (who was out tonight with a knee injury). In any case, the entire league is well aware that Doncic is a star in the making -- and if he can reduce his turnovers (3.5) and improve his efficiency (42.8% field goals), the sky is the limit for fantasy value.
Dec 16 - 10:32 PM

DeAndre Jordan hauled in a season-high-tying 23 rebounds with eight points, three assists and three blocks in 30 minutes on Sunday.

DJ has 20+ boards in four games this season and he ranks second in the NBA with 13.6 boards per game, trailing only Anthony Davis (15.6). He's handing out a career-high 2.1 assists while shooting a (relatively) fantastic 74.8% at the FT line, which compensates for his modest 1.0 blocks per game. Who says you can't teach an 11-year veteran new tricks?
Dec 16 - 10:27 PM

E'Twaun Moore played through his leg injury and hit 4-of-10 shots and three 3-pointers for 11 points, two rebounds, two assists and a steal in 35 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Heat.

He returned from a two-game absence and looked healthy, although his line wasn't too eye popping. He's lost his starting job for the time being to Solomon Hill and really hasn't done much since he scored 30 points on Nov. 21, which capped off hot, seven-game stretch for Moore. If goes on another heater, feel free to use him, but he hasn't been worth the headache in about a month.
Dec 16 - 10:22 PM

Buddy Hield made 12-of-23 shots with three 3-pointers to score 28 points during Sunday's road win in Dallas.

Hield added four rebounds and two assists in 39 minutes tonight, and fell just two points shy of his career high. He's quietly been a terrific value for owners with 18.9 points, 2.8 triples, 5.2 boards, 2.5 assists and strong percentages. He was plagued by slow starts his first few seasons in the league, but isn't wasting time for the playoff-hungry Kings this year.
Dec 16 - 10:13 PM

Nemanja Bjelica blocked a career-high four shots on Sunday, adding 15 points on 5-of-10 shooting, 10 rebounds, four 3-pointers and one assist in 35 minutes.

Marvin Bagley (left knee bone bruise) will be re-evaluated in 10-14 days, which opens up about 24 minutes per game in the frontcourt. Bjelica is an obvious winner and this is only the second time he's logged 30+ minutes since October. He's already owned in most formats, especially with his strong play the previous two games, but it can't hurt to double-check the wire.
Dec 16 - 10:10 PM

Dwyane Wade hit 6-of-12 shots and three 3-pointers for 19 points, six rebounds, two assists and five turnovers in Sunday's win over the Pelicans.

Wade said after the game that his back recently seized up on him and he had trouble getting out of bed, but he looked fine tonight in his 23 minutes. Wade had been incredibly healthy and is fired up about his farewell tour around the league, but his poor performance on Wednesday and missed game on Friday could be signs of more issues coming for the 36-year-old Wade.
Dec 16 - 10:01 PM

Julius Randle (sprained right ankle) is day-to-day but will likely miss Wednesday's game, according to coach Alvin Gentry.

The severity of Randle's sprain is unclear but it's not great that Gentry is willing to basically say he's doubtful days in advance. Nikola Mirotic (ankle) is also questionable to play on Wednesday, and if neither guy can go we could see a ton of Cheick Diallo and small-ball lineups.
Dec 16 - 9:51 PM

Julius Randle (sprained right ankle) will not return to Sunday's game.

Randle landed on a Heat player's foot and screamed in pain, quickly heading to the locker room. He finished with 17 points, 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 30 minutes. New Orleans was already missing Nikola Mirotic (ankle) and the only silver lining is that they're off until Wednesday. We'll list Randle as questionable for that game and should have multiple updates in the next 48 hours.
Dec 16 - 9:14 PM

Sam Dekker played a season-high 22 minutes and hit 10-of-15 shots for a season-high 20 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals in Sunday's 128-110 win over the Lakers.

With Otto Porter Jr. looking at an MRI on his knee injury Monday, Trevor Ariza en route to Washington after the trade, and Markieff Morris leaving with a neck injury, Dekker was forced into big minutes on Sunday. But he had scored a total of seven points in December, and will certainly take a hit once any of those guys are back in action, and it sounds like Morris and Ariza are likely to play on Tuesday. The risk associated with taking a flier on Dekker outweighs the potential reward, so we'd just leave him on the waiver wire, despite Sunday's promising performance.
Dec 16 - 9:01 PM

Markieff Morris didn't return to Sunday's game after leaving with a neck injury after just 11 minutes.

He finished with four points and four rebounds, but coach Scott Brooks said he could have returned to the game, which was completely controlled by the Wizards. "We had the game under control," he said. "Let him sit out and play Jeff (Green)." It sounds like Morris should be good to go in Week 10, but owners may want to check the news feed prior to Tuesday's game against the Hawks, just to be sure.
