Kevin Durant carried the shorthanded Warriors during a 101-87 win over the Hornets on Wednesday, scoring a season-high 35 points with 11 rebounds, 10 assists, two blocks and three 3-pointers in 36 minutes.

No Stephen Curry (ankle), no Draymond Green (shoulder), no problem. This was KD's third 30-point triple-double in his NBA career, his second with the Dubs and his ninth overall. Durant has been efficient no matter who he plays next, and he also talked about how he wanted to spread the ball to his teammates after the game. Durant had a season-high 42.1 usage rate and a triple-double today, which sounds like one of his former teammates. KD is going to absolutely feast while Curry is recovering.

Kris Dunn (personal) will start and will not have a minutes limit in his regular-season debut on Monday against the Mavericks.

Dunn missed the first two games of the year to be there for the birth of his son, but he's rejoined the team, and his return to the starting five should coincide with Cameron Payne returning to the second-unit and irrelevancy in all leagues. Feel free to get Dunn active.
Oct 22 - 7:01 PM

Marcus Morris (knee) will play vs. the Magic on Monday.

He made it through shootaround and warmups without any issues and should see his normal allotment of minutes tonight. He's just a low-end fantasy asset while Gordon Hayward gets up to speed.
Oct 22 - 6:22 PM

Pascal Siakam will replace Norman Powell in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Hornets.

The starting power forward and center position will be fluid this season, with Nick Nurse throwing out who he believes makes for the best matchup. Siakam could see minutes in the mid-20s as a starter, but Powell might not see minutes outside of the teens. Siakam is on the radar as a low-budget play in DFS.
Oct 22 - 6:17 PM

Serge Ibaka will return to the starting lineup for Monday's matchup with the Hornets, sending Jonas Valanciunas back to the bench.

Ibaka and JV will constantly be moving in and out of the starting lineup this season, but Ibaka's been getting a majority of the five-man minutes through the first three games of the year while serving as their closer. It's good news for Ibaka, but JV hasn't gotten off to a great start. Joining Serge in the starting five will be Kyle Lowry, Danny Green, Kawhi Leonard and Pascal Siakam.
Oct 22 - 6:14 PM

Gordon Hayward (rest) will return to the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Magic, as expected.

Hayward took the night off on Saturday, with it being the second night of a back-to-back set and him experiencing some soreness in his surgically repaired ankle, but he was never expected to sit out multiple games. He will again be confined to minutes in the mid-20s tonight, but he's safe to fire up in all season-long settings.
Oct 22 - 5:58 PM

Will Barton (adductor muscle) is headed for surgery and is expected to miss the next 5-6 weeks of action.

While it's never good to have one of your mid-round targets go down for 5-6 weeks, the timetable could have been worse, and barring a setback, he should be fully up to speed by mid-December. He has way too much upside to cut, so owners in leagues that don't offer an IR-spot should try and stick with him, or you could consider trading him for pennies on the dollar if things get too dire. Torrey Craig, Juancho Hernangomez and Trey Lyles should see an uptick in minutes at the three-spot while he's out.
Oct 22 - 5:37 PM

Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma will be in the starting lineup for Monday's matchup with the Spurs.

This was the expected move with both Rajon Rondo and Brandon Ingram suspended, and head coach Luke Walton hinted on Sunday that Ball could have his minutes limit lifted, so these two should be looking at ample playing time tonight. Ball never really got to compete for the starting spot at camp, but if he plays well with the starting group, it's plausible that he may not concede that spot. His arrow is pointing up.
Oct 22 - 3:47 PM

Will Barton (right hip/core) is seeking "second and third opinions" on his MRI results.

Chris Haynes reported on Sunday that the diagnosis from his initial MRI was a right groin strain, but the Nuggets are now deeming this a hip/core issue, and we've still yet to receive an official timetable. He could be out anywhere from a handful of weeks to a few months, but until we get official word, owners should just keep him on their bench or in the IR. Torrey Craig, Juancho Hernangomez and Trey Lyles will pick up the slack in his absence.
Oct 22 - 3:25 PM

Domantas Sabonis (bruised right knee) will play Monday vs. the Wolves.

Sabonis sat out the Pacers victory over the Nets on Saturday, but it appears it will be just a one-game absence, which is great news for the Pacers and Sabo owners. Kyle O'Quinn scored 16 points in 19 minutes on Saturday but will see his minutes reduced with Sabonis back in the mix. Domantas was stellar in the Pacers first two games, averaging 13.0 points (on 64.7 percent shooting) and a whopping 14.0 rebounds.
Oct 22 - 1:27 PM

Hassan Whiteside (hip/groin) did not practice on Monday.

We are awaiting word on the exact nature and severity of Whiteside's injury. For now, we'll consider him questionable for Wednesday's game vs. the Knicks. Whiteside logged 25 minutes on Saturday night, finishing with 11 points, 15 rebounds and two blocks. If he is unable to play Wednesday, Bam Adebayo and Kelly Olynyk will divvy up minutes at center. Both would make intriguing DFS options.
Oct 22 - 1:20 PM

Andre Drummond (illness) missed Monday's practice with the flu and his status for Tuesday's game vs. the Sixers is uncertain.

We'll likely have to wait until after Tuesday's shootaround for an update on Drummond's status. Depending on the severity, a flu bug can certainly zap a player of his energy. If Drummond is unable to suit up Tuesday night, Zaza Pachulia and Jon Leuer would soak up most of the minutes at center. The Pistons might also choose to go small and play Blake Griffin at the five-spot at times.
