Will Barton (illness) is questionable for Wednesday's game vs. Phoenix.

Barton has been dealing with a back injury but popped up on the injury report late Wednesday due to an illness. Gary Harris and Jamal Murray have seen their usage rate and production increase in games Barton has missed earlier this season. They would be intriguing DFS targets if Barton is unable to play.
Jan 3 - 2:42 PM

Jamal Murray, who is dealing with a sore leg, started on Tuesday and hit 6-of-10 shots, three 3-pointers and 4-of-4 free throws for 19 points, four assists and a steal.

His leg looks fine and the Nuggets pulled the plug on him with a commanding lead against the Kings. It was a garbage-time special in Denver tonight, but at least Murray made the most of his limited run. Especially after his three-point performance on Sunday against the Warriors. He's fine.
Oct 23 - 11:49 PM

Marvin Bagley was a beneficiary of garbage time in Tuesday's blowout 126-112 loss and had a career night, racking up career highs of 20 points, nine boards, three assists, five blocks and a 3-pointer on 9-of-11 shooting in 32 minutes.

The only one of those that wasn't a career high was the minutes, as he played 33 of them in a blowout loss to the Pelicans on Friday. The Kings aren't going to make the playoffs and Bagley needs to be turned loose and put into the starting lineup. We took a nice step in that direction with tonight's strong performance and he should be owned in every fantasy league in existence.
Oct 23 - 11:31 PM

Anthony Davis torched the Clippers for 34 points, 13 rebounds, a steal, five blocks and two 3-pointers on 11-of-21 shooting on Tuesday.

He's averaging 30.3 points, 13.0 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 2.0 steals, 3.3 blocks and 1.0 3-pointers on the young season, may be in the lead in the MVP race and is the reason no one has been able to beat the Pelicans yet. His line may have been the line of the night, although Blake Griffin will probably take that award after his 50-point performance. Davis has been worth every penny in DFS, or if you took him in your standard league draft or auction.
Oct 23 - 11:11 PM

Montrezl Harrell came off the bench and hit 5-of-6 shots and 2-of-2 free throws for 12 points, six rebounds, one assist, two steals and two blocks in 23 minutes.

Marcin Gortat was eaten alive by Anthony Davis and company tonight and failed to score with three rebounds in just 12 minutes, and Boban Marjanovic lasted just one minute before going back to the bench. Gortat is still the starter for now, but if he doesn't turn it around in a hurry, Harrell's going to take his starting job. Harrell also had 17 points, 10 boards, three blocks and a steal on Sunday, heating up after a slow start to the season. Harrell's not a must-own player, but grabbing him now could pay off if he ends up displacing Gortat in the lineup.
Oct 23 - 10:55 PM

Marcin Gortat started again on Tuesday, but missed all four of his shots, failed to score, and left for good after just three rebounds in 12 minutes.

On the other hand, Montrezl Harrell played 23 minutes, hit 5-of-6 shots, and finished with 12 points, six boards, two steals and two blocks in 23 minutes. While there's been a lot of chatter about Boban Marjanovic, he's had trouble staying on the court in today's fast-paced NBA, and lasted just one minute tonight. And in that minute he committed a foul, got blown by on D, missed a shot and got called for a 3-seconds penalty, and that was that. Gortat's arrow is pointing down, and it wouldn't be shocking if Harrell is on the verge of stealing his job.
Oct 23 - 10:45 PM

J.J. Redick kept his foot on the gas with 30 points vs. the Pistons on Tuesday, adding six rebounds, six assists and six triples.

In addition to Markelle Fultz and T.J. McConnell, Redick took on some of the ball-handling responsibilities with Ben Simmons (back) on the shelf. He hit 9-of-21 shots and 6-of-7 free throws, posting his second straight big outing after dropping 31 points on the Magic Saturday. The way he's playing, Redick is a must-start player regardless of Simmons' status.
Oct 23 - 10:15 PM

Joel Embiid went off for 33 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks in Tuesday's 133-132 overtime loss to Detroit.

The Process hit 11-of-20 shots and 11-of-14 free throws, becoming the first 76er with three straight 30-point outings since Allen Iverson. This was also his first game with at least 20-5-5 this season and the 11th of his career. Embiid faked contact with Andre Drummond's elbow to get him ejected, so he may hear from the NBA in the form of a fine. He soaked up a ton of usage with Ben Simmons nursing a back injury, so this monster line was not a surprise -- last season, Embiid's usage jumped from 30.7 to 35.9 with Simmons off the court. Brook Lopez is next up to be processed on Wednesday in Milwaukee.
Oct 23 - 10:11 PM

Blake Griffin hit 20-of-35 shots, 5-of-10 3-pointers and 5-of-11 free throws for a career-high 50 points, 14 rebounds, six assists, a block and just one turnover in 44 minutes as the Pistons beat the Sixers 133-132 in overtime on Tuesday night.

Not only did he become the first Piston to score 50 points since 2006 (Rip Hamilton), he overcame a 0-for-6 start from the line to sink the final free throw on an and-1 to win the game for the Pistons. This was the type of game that can change momentum for the whole season and the Pistons are somehow now 3-0. The last time the Pistons made the playoffs was the last time they got off to a 3-0 start (2015-16). If you drafted Griffin, chances are your fantasy year is off to a really strong start.
Oct 23 - 10:11 PM

Markelle Fultz started at point guard on Tuesday vs. Detroit, scoring 13 points on 6-of-9 shots with six rebounds, one assist, one block and a triple in 21 minutes.

He's just a different player with an aggressive mindset when Ben Simmons (back) isn't in there to run the show. Fultz looked confident in his jumper as well, even hitting a corner 3-pointer (his second of the season). Strangely enough, coach Brett Brown went with T.J. McConnell to close out this game in the fourth quarter and overtime. That could've been a huge confidence booster for Fultz to close this game, so this may have been a wasted opportunity for the 76ers. He's still worth deploying in most leagues on Wednesday vs. the Bucks if Ben Simmons misses another game.
Oct 23 - 10:03 PM

Andre Drummond was ejected in the final minute of Tuesday's game vs. Philly with two technical fouls because the refs thought he made contact with Joel Embiid.

It was a poor decision from the officials because Embiid clearly flopped. Bad call aside, Drummond lost his matchup with The Process, hitting just 6-of-20 shots and 2-of-4 free throws for 14 points, 16 rebounds, two assists, three steals and two blocks in 36 minutes. Considering he had the flu, this was still a solid line. He won't face a suspension and will be in the lineup on Thursday vs. the Cavaliers.
Oct 23 - 9:43 PM

Chandler Parsons has been ruled out for Wednesday's game vs. the Kings with right knee soreness.

The Grizzlies are listing him as day-to-day, but given his history (two right knee surgeries), this could easily be an extended absence. Kyle Anderson's fantasy owners will be eager to see if he can finally make some noise.
