Kawhi Leonard said his shoulder injury is "nothing serious" and that he hopes to return to game action soon.

Leonard initially injured the shoulder on January 5, when got hit with an elbow. He has missed each of the Spurs last three games, and his status for Saturday's game vs. the Nuggets is uncertain. San Antonio is expected to update their injury report Friday afternoon. Unsurprisingly, Coach Pop didn't provide much clarification when speaking with reporters: "When he's back, he's back."

Jabari Parker did not score in four minutes against the Magic on Thursday, adding one rebound and one assist.

Yikes. In case you missed it before the game, Parker is reportedly going to fall out of the rotation when Chandler Hutchison (illness) returns from what should be a one-game absence. Parker saw some time at SF today, and apparently the Bulls are now finding out what basically everyone knew over the summer: Jabari Parker is not a small forward. Perhaps a team tries to get him in a trade, but there's just little reason to stash him until we find out more.

LaMarcus Aldridge made 12-of-14 from the field for 27 points with four rebounds, one assist, two steals and one 3-pointer in 27 minutes during a 125-87 win over the Clippers on Thursday.

It's the first time he's made a 3-pointer this season, and he was asked about taking more after the game. "Nah, my value’s inside," he said. Aldridge got hot in the third with 12 points to help the Spurs win that frame 32-20 to earn another blowout win. The Spurs offense has been clicking over their last seven games with a West-leading 117.6 offensive rating, so there could be more fantasy goodness to go around if they can stay hot on that end.
Dec 13 - 11:53 PM

Rudy Gay made 8-of-10 from the field for 21 points with six rebounds, three assists, one block, two steals, no turnovers and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes against the Clippers on Thursday.

He's looked a lot healthier lately and hasn't been on the injury report. Interestingly, Gay has ditched his Puma kicks because they were causing pain in his heel earlier this season, but the shoe company is working to find an alternative options besides him wearing another brand. His fantasy owners should be rooting for Puma to be taking their time because Gay has been outstanding over his last five, averaging 19.6 points, 7.6 boards, 2.2 dimes, 1.8 steals and 1.2 treys on 61.3% from the field and 94.1% from the line. He's a must-start player right now.
Dec 13 - 11:47 PM

James Harden put up one of his patented monster triple-doubles during a 126-111 win over the Lakers on Thursday, scoring 50 points with 10 rebounds, 11 assists, two steals, six turnovers and four 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

He made 14-of-26 from the field and 18-of-19 from the line as he destroyed the Lakers to lead Houston to a 36-23 advantage in the fourth. This is Harden's fourth 50-point triple-double to break a time with Russell Westbrook for the most of those in NBA history while Wilt Chamberlain and Elgin Baylor are the only others with multiple 50-point trip-dubs in their careers. Harden had a 44.3 usage rate tonight for the sixth time he's been over 40 on the year, and he is way ahead of the rest of the league in that department at 36.5 in his 24 games (Kevin Durant is second among qualifiers at 31.3).
Dec 13 - 11:19 PM

LeBron James made 12-of-18 from the field for 29 points during a 126-111 loss to the Rockets on Thursday, adding five rebounds, four assists, two steals, three turnovers and three 3-pointers in 36 minutes

The Lakers were brutal from the line making 15-of-27 (55.6%), and LeBron made just 2-of-6 from the line to drop him to a woeful 68.9% from the charity stripe on the season. He's been trending down in each month of the season after a 78.7% in October, so this is a concerning trend for arguably the best player ever. Besides that, James is filling up the counting stats like he always has, but hopefully you're punting FT% in fantasy leagues.
Dec 13 - 10:49 PM

Kyle Kuzma scored 24 points with three rebounds, five assists, one block, two steals and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes against the Rockets on Thursday.

He's been batting 1.000 since the night of the Brandon Ingram (ankle) injury, averaging 25.2 points, 7.2 boards, 3.8 dimes, 1.0 steals, 0.6 blocks and 2.6 treys in those five outings. Kuzma said at practice yesterday that Ingram being out has helped him grow with more chances to have the ball in his hands to make plays for his teammates. We should get a better idea how much longer Kuzma will get to dominate with an evaluation for Ingram coming on Saturday. He's a must-start player until further notice.
Dec 13 - 10:45 PM

Josh Hart made 6-of-8 from the field for 15 points with two rebounds, one assist, two blocks and two 3-pointers in 29 minutes against the Rockets on Thursday.

He's had better success on 3-pointers over his last four at 8-of-15 (53.3%) than he has on high fives, and Hart was seeing 35-plus minutes in his previous three games in the starting lineup. Brandon Ingram (ankle) has a big evaluation coming up on Saturday morning and he could potentially travel for the evening game in Charlotte, but for now we'd expect Hart to have a good chance to start Saturday and Sunday. He should be owned in standard leagues.
Dec 13 - 10:43 PM

J.J. Barea (ankle) will not play on Thursday against the Suns.

He suffered the injury last night and did not return. Barea has struggled to stay healthy throughout his career, so he could be looking at multiple games off. Dennis Smith Jr. is back today, so presumably Jalen Brunson should slide right into JJB's role as a backup guard.
Dec 13 - 9:18 PM

Dennis Smith Jr. (wrist) will play against the Suns on Thursday.

Based on previous comments from coach Rick Carlisle, that means DSJ is going to be back in the starting lineup. Smith Jr. was brought along too quickly from a nagging wrist injury earlier this month, but this time he's back after missing four games. Hopefully, he is over it this time because he was starting to heat up just before the injury happened in November. If he was dropped, he's worth a pickup in standard leagues.
Dec 13 - 9:16 PM

Dirk Nowitzki (ankle) will have a minutes limit in his season debut against the Suns on Thursday.

The 40-year-old Hall of Fame forward will likely have a minutes limit for a while after some setbacks in his recovery. Nowitzki returning could cut into minutes for Dorian Finney-Smith, Maxi Kleber and Dwight Powell, so owners in deeper leagues may want to see how the rotation changes there.
Dec 13 - 9:11 PM

Goran Dragic (knee) is listed as out for Friday against the Grizzlies.

Tyler Johnson got his second start of the season and the Heat were run off the court in Utah on Wednesday, so perhaps coach Erik Spoelstra goes with Josh Richardson at the point. Justise Winslow should get some opportunities to run the offense as a possible boom-or-bust play in DFS. Wayne Ellington should be in the rotation, as well.
