DeMarre Carroll (knee) will return to the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Hawks, sending Joe Harris back to the second unit.

The Nets will roll out a starting five featuring Spencer Dinwiddie, Allen Crabbe, Carroll, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Tyler Zeller tonight, and it'll be interesting to see what Carroll's minutes look like tonight following his two-game absence. Harris isn't a very attractive target while working with the second unit, and Nik Stauskas figures to lose some minutes with Carroll back in action.
Jan 12 - 7:00 PM

Jonathon Simmons tweaked his right ankle during practice on Wednesday morning in Mexico City.

He was not able to finish the practice, and he iced on his foot as the session ended. This makes Simmons questionable at best for the game against the Bulls on Thursday. He's been below expectations this year and perhaps not having a full offseason due to a wrist issue cost him a chance to improve on a solid 2017-18. If he's out, there could be a few extra minutes for Wes Iwundu while Terrence Ross and Jonathan Isaac could also benefit.
Dec 12 - 3:36 PM

Brandon Knight (knee) is probable for Thursday against the Lakers.

It's a big boost for the Rockets, who just lost James Ennis (hamstring) for 1-2 weeks. Knight can play both guard spots and the lack of guard depth in Houston should get him in the rotation once he's healthy. Considering Knight hasn't played in an NBA game since Feb. 15, 2017, he'll certainly have a lot of restrictions upon his return. He is only worth an add in very deep leagues.
Dec 12 - 3:16 PM

Moe Harkless (rest) will not play vs. Memphis on Wednesday.

It's the second half of a back-to-back set for Harkless, who played 31 minutes with nine points, four rebounds, one assist, two blocks, one steal and one 3-pointer against the Rockets on Tuesday. He could start to become a valuable player in deeper leagues down the line, but he'll need to shake the restrictions first. Jake Layman will likely get the start while Evan Turner and Seth Curry could see additional run.
Dec 12 - 3:12 PM

The Rockets are reportedly interested in acquiring Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

The Lakers and Suns are trying to execute a three-team deal to get Trevor Ariza to Los Angeles, and it looks like the Rockets are interested in being that third team. To be clear, nothing is imminent, and none of these guys can be traded until Dec. 15, but KCP landing in Houston would be excellent for his outlook. If such a deal were to take place, the Rockets would need to find a fourth team willing to take on Brandon Knight and his awful contract.
Dec 12 - 2:42 PM

James Ennis will miss the next 1-2 weeks of action with a Grade-1 right hamstring strain.

This is the second time this season that Ennis will be recovering from a right hamstring injury, so the Rockets will likely take their time bringing him back. Eric Gordon should stick with the starting unit while he's out, and there will be more minutes available for Gerald Green and Danuel House.
Dec 12 - 2:11 PM

Andre Iguodala (right hip tightness) will not suit up for Wednesday's game against the Raptors.

This will be his second straight game on the sidelines, which should again translate to an uptick in minutes for Alfonzo McKinnie. The Warriors play again on Friday in Sacramento, and for now, we'll be considering Iguodala questionable for that one.
Dec 12 - 2:05 PM

Tyler Johnson (hip) will play on Wednesday against the Jazz.

Johnson will be returning from a one-game absence, and he should see extended minutes with Goran Dragic (knee) unavailable. If he winds up earning the start, he'll be someone to consider deploying as a low-budget option in DFS.
Dec 12 - 1:59 PM

Hassan Whiteside (personal) is expected to return to the team for either Friday's game in Memphis or Sunday's game in New Orleans.

Whiteside will miss his fourth straight game on Wednesday due to the birth of his son, but Erik Spoelstra said he will rejoin the team at some point during their road trip. Bam Adebayo will be getting another start tonight and there will be more minutes available for Kelly Olynyk with the second unit.
Dec 12 - 1:57 PM

Goran Dragic (sore right knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game in Utah.

Not good. Dragic just returned from an eight-game absence after having his right knee drained, and took a rest day last Saturday, so it's concerning that the 32-year-old point guard just can't seem to shake this knee issue (he lasted just 18 minutes on Monday). It'll either be Tyler Johnson or Wayne Ellington getting the start in his place tonight, and Josh Richardson will spend more time running the offense.
Dec 12 - 1:55 PM

Brad Stevens said that Aron Baynes (ankle) could play limited minutes on Wednesday in Washington.

Baynes remains questionable to play, but apparently, he got through shootaround okay, so maybe he'll be able to get back out there tonight following a two-game absence. He'll likely come off the bench if he is available to conserve his minutes, so Daniel Theis is still the preferable fantasy target here with Al Horford (knee) out.
Dec 12 - 1:15 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo (neck) will play on Wednesday against the Pacers.

He'll return to the starting lineup following a one-game stint on the sidelines, which will shift Ersan Ilyasova back to the second unit. Go ahead and get him active.
