Jordan Clarkson helped the Lakers to their fourth-straight win on Saturday, scoring 19 points on 9-of-18 shooting to go with one 3-pointer, three boards, four assists and two turnovers in 30 minutes.

Clarkson caught fire down the stretch, scoring 11 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter and overtime while rocking a 30.4 usage rate, and there really wasn't anything the Mavs could do to stop him. The Lakers are reportedly looking to ship Clarkson out of Los Angeles, so he probably bumped up his trade stock a bit with his clutch performance. In terms of fantasy hoops, a trade wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing for Clarkson, as his minutes have been sporadic with the Lakers this season.
Jan 13 - 5:43 PM

DeMar DeRozan posted a monster line in Monday's overtime win over the Lakers, scoring 32 points with 14 assists (career-high), eight rebounds, one steal and two triples in 45 minutes.

He had a combined 13 assists in his previous two games and has taken on more ball-handling responsibility because of injuries in San Antonio's backcourt. He was 11-of-29 from the field and 8-of-9 from the line, joining Tony Parker as the only Spurs in franchise history to post 32+ points and 14+ assists in a game. If he keeps dishing it like he has been, DeRozan could post his best ever season in fantasy.
Oct 23 - 1:46 AM

LaMarcus Aldridge went off for 37 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block in Monday's 143-142 overtime win over the Lakers.

Who said posts up are dead? LMA was having his way with the Lakers all night no matter who they threw at him. He finished 13-of-22 from the field, but only hit 11-of-18 free throws. LMA is now shooting 62% from the line on the season despite being a career 80.6% shooter, so hopefully this is just a minor hiccup. The Spurs are off to a 2-1 start, LMA still has plenty of gas in the tank and DeMar DeRozan is fitting right in, so the Spurs should like their chances of getting back to the playoffs despite some bad luck with injuries.
Oct 23 - 1:33 AM

Kelly Oubre started the second half of Monday's game vs. Portland, scoring 22 points on 9-of-13 shots with six rebounds, one steal, one block and three triples.

After playing 19 and 20 minutes in Washington's first two games, the Wizards were forced to play smaller when Ian Mahinmi left with back spasms. Oubre ended up playing 39 minutes in the overtime win, scoring 20+ points for the sixth time in his career. The Wizards are short-handed right now and coach Scott Brooks said he wants to play his smaller lineups for "long stretches" going forward, so Oubre is at least worth putting on your watch list.
Oct 23 - 1:14 AM

Otto Porter scored 16 points with 10 rebounds, two steals and one block in 44 minutes in Tuesday's overtime win vs. the Blazers.

OPJ had the play of the game, as he swatted a Damian Lillard shot attempt in the final moment to protect a one-point lead for the Wizards. He really needed this performance because Porter was very underwhelming in his previous two. His minutes should be much safer going forward, especially with the Wizards missing their two top centers in Dwight Howard (back) and Ian Mahinmi (back) -- Markieff Morris slid to the five which opened things up for OPJ and Kelly Oubre.
Oct 23 - 1:08 AM

Markieff Morris went off for 28 points, nine rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and six triples in Monday's 125-124 overtime win in Portland.

Wow. Prior to Monday, Morris had hit more than three triples just once in his career, and one of his triples was a go-ahead basket with a minute left in overtime. Morris was forced to play more center with Ian Mahinmi leaving with back spasms, and we still have no clue when Dwight Howard (back) will return. His minutes should be over 30 in the short term and he's not going to be available on many waiver wires after tonight.
Oct 23 - 1:02 AM

Jusuf Nurkic hit 9-of-16 shots and 4-of-4 free throws for 22 points, 18 rebounds, two assists and two steals in 32 minutes of Monday's thrilling overtime loss against the Wizards.

Ian Mahinmi was Washington's only healthy center and he got hurt early, and Jeff Green also left for the Wizards with an injury, so Nurk had his way with the Wizards in what was easily is best game of the season. The Blazers suffered their first loss tonight, and Nurk will have a tougher test on Thursday night against a red-hot Nikola Vucevic.
Oct 23 - 12:59 AM

Mike Conley led the Grizzlies to a big road win on Monday in Utah, scoring 23 points (6-of-20 FGs, 1-of-6 3PTs, 10-of-11 FTs) with seven rebounds, four assists, three steals, one 3-pointer, and just one turnover in 35 minutes against the Jazz.

Conley posted the highest usage rate of his career in as many minutes as he played on Monday (check link). With the Grizzlies rebuilding and dealing with quite a few injuries, Conley will have the opportunity to get as many shots as he wants. He's a shell of his former self, but will still provide good value to those who took a chance on draft day. Similarly, Conley presents nice upside in DFS formats.
Oct 23 - 12:38 AM

Klay Thompson suffered a mild left ankle sprain on Monday and won't return to a blowout game against the Suns in the fourth quarter.

This probably has more to do with the score of the game than Klay's ankle, but you never know. The Warriors opened up a big lead against the Suns and are up about 20 with less than five minutes left. Thompson is day-to-day, so check on his status before Wednesday's game just to be sure. He finished with 16 points and a 3-pointer in 25 minutes.
Oct 23 - 12:37 AM

Andrew Wiggins says his thigh injury isn't bad and that he plans on playing at Toronto on Wednesday.

Wiggins has played in 331 of a possible 332 games during his career and simply took a knee to his thigh. "I only miss a game if I've absolutely got to," he said. "I'm going to Toronto and I'm looking forward to it." It sounds like he's going to be a go for Wednesday, but owners should check back for updates that day just to be sure.
Oct 23 - 12:24 AM

Dennis Smith Jr. struggled in Monday's win against the Bulls, scoring just seven points on 2-of-11 (18%) shooting with one rebound, three assists, one 3-pointer, and four turnovers in 31 minutes.

After hitting the game-winner against the Wolves on Saturday, DSJ struggled mightily in this one. He couldn't get going and had his worst game of the young season. The shooting percentage is always going to be a drain with DSJ, but there will be better days ahead. Don't panic.
Oct 23 - 12:17 AM

Luka Doncic shined once again on Monday, scoring 19 points (7-of-14 FGs, 3-of-8 3PTs) with three rebounds, six assists, one steal, three 3-pointers, and three turnovers in 36 minutes in the Mavs win against the Bulls.

Doncic dished out his best assist total to date, with six. He limited his turnover total to three tonight and looks more comfortable with each passing minute. He'll ultimately be inconsistent, like most rookies, but he'll still provide good production across the board. The future is bright.
