Coach Stan Van Gundy said that Reggie Jackson (ankle) is "starting to do some light basketball work, but there's still no timetable for his return."

Initially, when Jackson was first injured back in late December, he was given a 6-8 week timetable. Thus, there was some hope he'd be back after the All-Star break. However, it now appears that we won't see R-Jax on the floor until the beginning of March, at the earliest. Ish Smith will continue to start at point guard, with Jameer Nelson backing him up.

Dwight Powell (left knee) is being listed as questionable for Monday's matchup with Memphis.

Powell returned from the knee issue on Saturday and logged 17 minutes off the bench, so he may be a bit closer to probable than questionable for tonight's game. However, if he is forced to hit the sidelines, that would translate to more run for Salah Mejri and Maxi Kleber. Stay tuned.
Nov 19 - 12:05 PM

Wesley Matthews (strained left hamstring) is doubtful to play Monday vs. Memphis.

Matthews has missed two of the past three games with this hamstring issue, and it doesn't sound like he'll be getting back to the floor tonight, which will result in another start for Dorian Finney-Smith. Check back for official confirmation on his status closer to tip-off.
Nov 19 - 12:02 PM

J.J. Barea (left adductor strain) is being listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Grizzlies.

Barea missed a preseason game with a left hamstring strain, but this is the first we're hearing of an adductor issue. It wouldn't be shocking to see the 34-year-old veteran take the night off, and if he sits, there would be more minutes available for Dennis Smith Jr., Jalen Brunson and Devin Harris. Check back for another update closer to tip-off.
Nov 19 - 12:00 PM

John Collins will play around 18 minutes on Monday vs. the Clippers.

Collins logged 12 minutes off the bench in his regular-season debut on Saturday, and we'd expect his minutes to ramp up to the 30s within a week or so. Once Collins is fully up to speed, Alex Len's value will take a decent sized hit.
Nov 19 - 11:42 AM

Doc Rivers is "hopeful" that Avery Bradley will be able to return to the court for Monday's game against the Hawks.

Bradley has spent the past six games on the sidelines, but it sounds like he's on the cusp of a return. If he is able to come back tonight, he'll likely be dealing with a minutes limit, and it seems unlikely that he'll be able to retake his spot in the starting five over Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He's not worth rostering in most leagues.
Nov 19 - 11:29 AM

Victor Oladipo (right knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Jazz.

Oladipo downplayed the knee issue at shootaround, saying, "[it's a little sore, but I’m good," so it doesn't sound like he'll be out for all that long. Tyreke Evans may enter the starting five with Dipo unavailable tonight, and there will be more shots to go around for guys like Cory Joseph, Daren Collison and Bojan Bogdanovic. The Pacers play again on Wednesday in Charlotte, and for now, we'll consider Oladipo questionable for that one.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, every player on the Wizards "is available to discuss in trade scenarios."

This even includes John Wall and Bradley Beal with the team in disarray. Woj adds that Washington's preference is reshape the team around Wall and Beal and to use a package of Otto Porter and Kelly Oubre to bring in a third star, but those guys have "fetched minimal interest on the market." Beal is Washington's best trade chip by a mile, as Wall's extension begins next season and will average $42 million annually over the next four years. The Wizards are 5-11 and coach Scott Brooks may be the first domino to fall.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, Michael Jordan is "fully focused" and "hellbent" on re-signing Kemba Walker this summer.

Charania adds that Jordan's stance likely won't change as long as the Hornets are competitive this season. Walker has made it very clear that he wants to remain in Charlotte, so this should be a no-brainer for a franchise with a poor track record in drafts and in free agency. Despite this report, it's inevitable that we will hear some trade rumors when the deadline gets closer with Walker on such a bargain of an expiring contract.
Nov 19 - 10:47 AM

Goran Dragic (knee) will be re-evaluated on Monday.

"He's sore, still, and a little bit swollen," coach Erik Spoelstra said. "He already has had an MRI but we'll check him out again [Monday] and then we'll go from there." It certainly sounds like it's possible this could sideline him for an extended period, but Dragic's fantasy owners just need to sit tight until we get an update from the Heat. If he does miss time, Josh Richardson and Justise Winslow will facilitate most of the offense, while Tyler Johnson could post mid-round numbers if he keeps his FG% up.
Nov 19 - 10:18 AM

According to Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer, there are "whispers" that the Pelicans are interested in Otto Porter.

Porter is in the second year of four-year, $106.5 million contract, and O'Connor speculates that an offer of Julius Randle, Solomon Hill and a first-round pick could work. Porter is having his worst season since 2014 and has often found himself on the bench late in games with coach Scott Brooks rolling with Kelly Oubre and Jeff Green a lot. A change of scenery could be a good thing for Porter, especially to an offense as good as New Orleans, but there's been no indication that the Wizards are ready to deal despite their awful start.

Rudy Gay started Sunday's game vs. the Warriors, posting 19 points on 6-of-10 shooting, three 3-pointers, five rebounds, three blocks and one assist in 30 minutes.

Gay dropped 12 points in the first quarter and looked plenty healthy on a high-flying dunk (see link below). The 30 minutes were a surprise since he's on a limit and the Spurs are taking every precaution to avoid his recurring heel soreness from becoming a long-term injury. This was the first game in a back-to-back set, too, so it's possible Gay gets a DNP-CD on Monday. Check for updates in the afternoon.
