Dennis Schroder (elbow) will play and start at point guard Tuesday vs. OKC.

Schroder was a late scratch in Sunday's loss to the Bulls. As expected, he will return to action Tuesday, as he'd been listed as probable. Isaiah Taylor will get bumped back to the bench. Kent Bazemore (knee) has been ruled out for the season, so Schroder should see an uptick in his usage rate over the Hawks final 15 games.

Fred VanVleet finished Sunday's loss vs. the visiting Bucks with a season-high 19 points, five 3-pointers, two rebounds and two assists.

VanVleet shot 7-of-12 from the field and chipped in one steal without a single turnover in 27 minutes. He closed this game in a small-ball lineup while Pascal Siakam watched from the bench, and finally snapped out of an extended slump that had him shooting a combined 10-of-36 from the field (27.8%) over the past five games. He's worth a look if you need a cheap PG in competitive leagues.
Dec 9 - 8:38 PM

Kyle Lowry didn't score in 34 minutes on Sunday, but he did contribute five rebounds, six assists and one block in a home loss vs. Milwaukee.

Lowry sat out last Saturday with a sore back and it's hard to imagine the injury isn't still impacting him -- he's shooting 4-of-28 from the field (14.3%) over the past four games. He's not using it as an excuse and an upward correction is inevitable, so get in your low-ball offers while you still can.

The Lakers are "engaged in talks" to trade for Trevor Ariza, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Suns reportedly want "a playmaking guard and a draft asset" in return for Ariza. It sounds like the fundamentals of a deal could be close, since they're "working to reach an agreement with a third team" willing to take on Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's $12 million salary. A trade to L.A. would help the Lakers in reality, but it wouldn't necessarily benefit Ariza's fantasy value while LeBron James, Kyle Kuzma and Brandon Ingram are healthy.

Robert Covington (sore right knee) is probable to play Monday against the Warriors.

Covington sat out Saturday's game with the knee issue, but it's looking like it'll only be a one-game absence. With RoCo expected to play tomorrow, Derrick Rose will likely return to the second unit and Josh Okogie could drop from the rotation entirely.
Dec 9 - 7:14 PM

Anthony Davis (right hip) went 2-of-7 from the field and 2-of-4 from the line on his way to six points, nine boards, four assists, five blocks and one turnover in 26 minutes on Sunday.

Davis took a knee to his right hip on a Blake Griffin drive to the hoop that forced him out for most of the first half of action, and while he eventually got back out there after halftime, he clearly did not look 100%. This is the sort of thing that could get worse overnight, so for now, we're going to have to consider him questionable for Monday's game in Boston. With it being the second leg of a back-to-back set, the Pelicans won't host a shootaround, so owners might not get another update until he's able to go through his pregame routine.
Dec 9 - 6:51 PM

Jrue Holiday netted a season-high 37 points on 14-of-22 shooting Sunday, to go with six triples, five boards, five dimes, three steals and nine turnovers in 40 minutes.

Holiday got off to a quick start in this one, racking up 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting through his first five minutes of action, and his six 3-pointers accounted for a new career-high. He was more active than usual on the offensive end with Anthony Davis (hip) missing most of the first half, and while AD eventually got back out there, he really didn't look to be 100%. If Davis can't play on Monday in Boston, Holiday could be in for another big night.
Dec 9 - 6:49 PM

Allonzo Trier (strained left hamstring) won't play vs. the Hornets on Sunday.

There's no word on how long Trier could be out, but his absence should shift some minutes to Damyean Dotson and Courtney Lee tonight. Trier wasn't helping owners in most fantasy formats anyway, so his absence shouldn't have a big impact.
Dec 9 - 6:48 PM

Blake Griffin went 13-of-25 from the field and 5-of-8 from the line on his way to 35 points during Sunday's loss to the Pelicans.

Griffin added four 3-pointers, five rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and three turnovers across his 38 minutes, and while he was very good on the offensive end, he left a lot to be desired on defense. He did hurt his right knee when he made contact with Anthony Davis' hip on a drive to the hoop, but he played through it, and the heavy minutes would suggest that will be a non-issue moving forward.
Dec 9 - 6:48 PM

After Jim Boylen benched his entire starting lineup for the final 21 minutes of Saturday's game, the Chicago players reportedly debating ditching Sunday's practice.

The Bulls' players setup a group chat and seriously debated skipping Sunday's practice, but ultimately, they decided to show up for a player's only meeting; which the coaching staff eventually joined. There were reportedly "two or three" players advocating to ditch practice, but the veterans were adament about not taking that course of action. Boylen reportedly met the issues presented head on, and used the meeting as an opportunity to try and build trust with his guys. This is fine.
Dec 9 - 5:51 PM

Derrick White will return to the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Jazz, with Dante Cunningham (abdonimnal soreness) unavailable.

White has been very hit-or-miss this season, but with him earning the start, he could be someone to think about streaming in deep leagues. Joining him in the starting five will be Bryn Forbes, Rudy Gay, DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge.
Dec 9 - 5:28 PM

Davis Bertans (personal) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Jazz.

The Spurs will be without both Dante Cunningham (abdominal soreness) and Bertans tonight, so Derrick White will draw the start and there will be more minutes available for guys like Rudy Gay and Jakob Poeltl. Poeltl has been trending up over the past week, so he's on the radar as a deep league streamer for those seeking some blocks.
