Stephen Curry (right ankle) will not play on Wednesday vs. the Lakers and will be re-evaluated on March 20th.

This means Curry will miss an additional three games after Wednesday (Mar. 16 vs. the Kings, Mar. 17 vs. the Suns and Mar. 19 vs. the Spurs). The Warriors announced that Curry "continues to progress," but it sounds like they are being extra cautious. With Draymond Green sitting out Wednesday's game with right shoulder soreness and Klay Thompson (thumb) questionable, Kevin Durant should be poised for a monster night. Quinn Cook and Shaun Livingston will hold down the fort at PG, but they are poor fantasy options.

Evan Fournier (personal) is expected to replace Jonathon Simmons in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Bulls.

Fournier has officially rejoined the team in Mexico City and is a go tonight, so owners shouldn't hesitate to get him active. The Magic will likely roll out a starting five featuring D.J. Augustin, Fournier, Jonathan Isaac, Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic tonight, and it'll be interesting to see how long Isaac is able to remain a starter.
Dec 13 - 12:11 PM

Jonathon Simmons (right ankle) was a full participant at shootaround and is on track to play Thursday against the Bulls.

Simmons should be able to get back out there, but he'll likely be coming off the bench with Evan Fournier (personal) back in action. With averages of just 7.2 points, 2.2 assists and not much else on 34.2% shooting this season, he's not worth owning anywhere.
Dec 13 - 12:08 PM

Allonzo Trier has agreed to a two-year deal with the Knicks.

This has been expected for a while with Trier running out of time on his two-way deal with New York, and Ron Baker will get the ax in a corresponding move. Trier is operating with averages of 11.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.9 turnovers per game this season on 47% shooting, but he's currently out with a hamstring injury.
Dec 13 - 10:06 AM

Victor Oladipo (right knee) logged 29 minutes in his return on Wednesday, scoring 12 points with 10 rebounds and six assists.

Oladipo was on a minute-limit but it obviously wasn't very stringent, and he still racked up a solid stat line, making 5-of-11 field goals with one 3-pointer. Indiana had reeled off three straight wins prior to VO's return and he didn't force the issue too much, with Myles Turner even taking double Oladipo's shot attempts tonight. He admitted afterward that conditioning is still an issue, estimating that he's about 90%, but the key is that "his knee felt fine." He should be ready to rumble vs. Philly on Friday.

Dec 13 - 2:39 AM

Kyle Lowry made 9-of-18 field goals on Wednesday for 23 points, 12 assists, five rebounds and three steals in 38 minutes vs. Golden State.

During a four-game stretch from Dec. 3-9, Lowry averaged 3.8 points on 14.3% shooting -- Toronto was 1-3 in those games. The veteran warmed up with 21 efficient points on Tuesday, and tonight's performance suggests he's fully out of his slump. Despite the recent struggles, Lowry still ranks second among qualifying players in offensive rating (118.2), trailing only teammate Danny Green.
Dec 13 - 1:35 AM

Kevin Durant's game-high 30 points, seven boards and five assists weren't enough vs. Toronto on Wednesday.

Durant trails only James Harden for usage at 31.1%, but that had dipped to 25.9% since Stephen Curry returned on Dec. 1. Offensive touches weren't an issue tonight with Durant going 13-of-22 from the field with a pair of 3-pointers, but he got no help from his teammates -- Draymond Green, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson were a combined 11-of-34 from the field. The Warriors' real-world struggles aside, KD is an every-night goldmine for fantasy.
Dec 13 - 1:29 AM

Nemanja Bjelica exacted some revenge on Wednesday with 25 points, five rebounds, four 3-pointers, three assists and two blocks in a win vs. Minnesota.

Bjelica must be pleased with his decision as a free agent this summer. He landed a three-year, $20.5 million contract in a tight market, has started all 26 games for Sacramento, and tonight's win helped the Kings assume the No. 8 seed in the West (Minnesota is tied for No. 13). Bjelica has been a worthwhile fantasy option overall this season, but reduced minutes (29 tonight, but just 22.2 in November) make him hard to trust in most 10- and 12-team formats.
Dec 13 - 1:02 AM

Dirk Nowitzki (ankle) plans to make his season debut in Thursday's road game against the Suns, according to Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com.

The target date for Dirk has changed a few times, but it sounds like he's finally going to make it out there after some setbacks. Before Wednesday's game, coach Rick Carlisle said Dirk is "getting closer" to a return, but the 40-year-old Hall of Fame big man is likely going to have a minutes cap upon his return. He's not the strongest add in standard leagues because he'll likely have minutes restrictions for a while.

John Collins scored 20 points (10-of-22 FGs, 0-of-1 FT) with 17 rebounds, one assist, one block, and five turnovers in 36 minutes against the Mavericks on Wednesday.

Another night, another career-high for Collins, with tonight being total rebounds (17) and offensive rebounds (nine). He's now double-double in five straight games, which extends his career-high mark. The only thing holding him back from climbing into the next tier of fantasy value is his lack of defensive stats. He has only one steal in his first 12 games and is averaging under one block per game. Outside of that, he's been unreal since returning from his ankle injury.
Dec 13 - 12:41 AM

Trae Young scored 24 points (11-of-20 FGs) with 10 assists, two steals, two 3-pointers, and just two turnovers in 35 minutes against Dallas on Wednesday.

Young showed up for his matchup against fellow top-5 pick Luka Doncic, notching his first double-digit assist game since Nov. 27. This was just his third game above 50% shooting on the season and the first since Oct. 30. He recently stated that he felt like he's up against the rookie wall, so hopefully this is a sign of him breaking through it.
Dec 13 - 12:24 AM

Anthony Davis made 16-of-32 from the field for a season-high 44 points during a 118-114 win over the Thunder on Wednesday, adding 18 rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer in 40 minutes.

He had his weekly trip to the locker room after Cheick Diallo fell into his quad in the first quarter, but AD returned in the second quarter. Once he was able to get loose, AD looked fine in another monster performance and made all 11 from the line, as well. Before the game, coach Alvin Gentry said he wanted to dial back AD's minutes, but of course he wasn't too tied to that idea with AD hitting 40 minutes for the eighth time this season. He's easily the best player in fantasy and it's not close, so his fantasy owners will deal with all the locker room trips.
