Kyle Kuzma (ankle) returned from an injury scare in Tuesday's 112-103 win over the Nuggets, scoring 26 (10-of-20 FGs) points with 13 rebounds, two assists, one steal and five 3-pointers.

He tweaked his ankle after a dominant 16-point third quarter, and while it was "clearly bothering him" according to Lakers reporter Mike Trudell, Kuzma returned in the fourth quarter and responded with back-to-back 3s. There's a chance his ankle could swell up overnight, so we'll put him on the injury report for Wednesday's game vs. the Warriors. He was already playing mostly small forward with Brandon Ingram on the shelf, so the Lakers will be in trouble if he misses time and would need to use a committee approach to soak up his minutes. For now, we're expecting him to play.
Mar 14 - 1:01 AM

Luke Kennard will remain in the starting lineup for Saturday's game vs. Boston, joining Reggie Jackson, Reggie Bullock, Blake Griffin and Andre Drummond.

With Bullock (ankle) back, it's Kennard who will remain with the starters while rookie Bruce Brown returns to the bench. The Duke product put forth the best performance of his career to date in the Pistons' December 10 loss to the 76ers, scoring 28 points (11-of-18 FG, 1-of-2 FT) with eight rebounds, three assists and five 3-pointers. Kennard followed that up with a six-point, four-rebound effort Wednesday, so he still has some work to do from a consistency standpoint.
Dec 15 - 6:56 PM

JaVale McGee (illness) is currently going through his pregame routine and appears to be on track to play on Saturday in Charlotte.

Things aren't official just yet, but per Lakers' beat reporter Mike Trudell, McGee looks "ready to play." Season-long owners can probably go ahead and get him active, but the illness makes him a questionable DFS play.
Dec 15 - 6:51 PM

Damyean Dotson (sore right shoulder) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Pacers.

Dotson missed Friday's game, which was his first missed game of the season. Trey Burke (knee) is slated to return and would pick up some time if Dotson were to sit, while Frank Ntilikina and Courtney Lee would see more action, as well. If Dotson can go, there will be some time available with Allonzo Trier (hamstring) out.
Dec 15 - 6:38 PM

Eric Gordon (sore left knee) will play Saturday against the Grizzlies.

Gordon was questionable, but is good to go for the game against Memphis. He's been bothered by his left knee before, so this might not go away quickly, but it's good to see that he'll be able to keep playing.
Dec 15 - 6:34 PM

Dennis Smith Jr. (wrist) has been upgraded to probable for Sunday's game against the Kings.

Smith Jr. didn't shoot the ball well in his return from a four-game absence on Thursday, but it doesn't look like he'll miss any more time with the wrist issue. Owners can expect to get official confirmation on his status following Sunday's shootaround.
Dec 15 - 6:32 PM

Kyle Anderson (left ankle sprain) will not play Saturday against the Rockets.

Anderson turned his ankle in Friday's game and did not return. His minutes will be split by Omri Casspi, MarShon Brooks, Wayne Selden, and Shelvin Mack. None are really worth a play or a stream, unless you're feeling lucky.
Dec 15 - 6:31 PM

Tyreke Evans (bruised right knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Knicks.

Evans has returned to a bench role with Victor Oladipo back and has played fewer than 20 minutes in each of the two games since his return. If he were to sit, Cory Joseph would likely see more time with Aaron Holiday possibly being dusted off, too.
Dec 15 - 6:24 PM

Goran Dragic (knee) is being listed as "out" for Sunday's game in New Orleans.

Sunday will be Dragic's third straight game out of the lineup, and his 12th game out of the lineup due to the knee issue. Justise Winslow could be looking at another start with Dragic unavailable, and there will be more opportunity for Wayne Ellington and Tyler Johnson. It's concerning that Dragic hasn't been able to shake this knee injury, and while surgery hasn't been discussed to this point, that could be something that eventually enters the conversation.
Dec 15 - 6:21 PM

Jimmy Butler (strained groin) is questionable for Sunday's game in Cleveland.

Butler has missed the last two games after getting hurt during Monday's game. Furkan Korkmaz has seen 35 and 29 minutes as a starter in the those two games and figures to pick up his third straight start on Sunday. Butler's injury wasn't deemed serious and coach Brett Brown said there's a chance he returns against the Cavs, so be sure to check back for his official status before tip-off.
Dec 15 - 6:18 PM

Dwyane Wade (general soreness) is questionable to play Sunday against the Pelicans.

Wade missed Friday's game, which resulted in more minutes for Tyler Johnson, Justise Winslow and Derrick Jones Jr. It'll be more of the same on Sunday if Wade is out again, with Johnson offering the most upside out of that group.
Dec 15 - 6:18 PM

Brandon Ingram (ankle) will not join the Lakers for the remaining three games of their road trip.

Ingram was re-evaluated on Saturday, and while he's making solid progress and is being listed as day-to-day, he'll sit out the next three games. Josh Hart should remain a starter and Kyle Kuzma will see some increased opportunity. The Lakers will return to Los Angeles for a game against the Pelicans on Friday, so maybe Ingram will be able to get back for that one.
