Clint Capela (strained left thumb) is probable to play Thursday vs. the Clippers.

This is the first we're hearing of a thumb issue for Capela, but considering he's being listed as probable, it doesn't seem like anything owners should be concerned about. Check back for official confirmation on his status closer to Thursday's tip.

George Hill and Jason Smith are both available to make their Bucks debut on Sunday against the Raptors.

All of the necessary red-tape has been completed and everyone from the Cavs-Bucks trade is available for their new team. Hill will be used off the bench and could be able to carve out some fantasy value in the prolific Bucks offense. Smith will be a bench piece and isn't on the fantasy radar.
Dec 9 - 1:42 PM

John Wall (heel) didn't practice on Sunday and his availability for Monday's game against Indiana is doubtful.

Wall said he probably shouldn't have played on Saturday because of issues with his heel, so it makes sense for him to sit out practice and, potentially, a few games to get right. Bradley Beal, Austin Rivers, and Tomas Satoransky would benefit from Wall missing Monday's game.
Dec 9 - 1:30 PM

Landry Shamet (sore lower back) is questionable for Monday's game against the Pistons.

Shamet missed practice on Sunday and seems to be more on the negative side of that designation. Backs can be tricky so the Sixers will probably take a cautious approach with their rookie wing. Furkan Korkmaz, T.J. McConnell and possibly Shake Milton will see more action if Shamet were to sit.
Dec 9 - 1:02 PM

Joel Embiid (migraine) didn't practice on Sunday ahead of Monday's game with Detroit.

Embiid sat out Friday's matchup with the Pistons for rest purposes, so missing practice isn't the worst thing as the team looks to get him as much as rest as possible. As of now, there's no reason to believe his status is in doubt for Monday's game, but he's listed as questionable. Mike Muscala would benefit the most from Embiid missing another game.
Dec 9 - 12:56 PM

Nikola Vucevic (ankle sprain) participated in non-contact portions of Sunday's practice despite his injury.

Vucevic hurt his ankle in Friday's game, but played through the injury. The fact that he was able to practice is a great sign for his availability on Monday and he looks to be on track to play. Check back before tip-off for official confirmation.
Dec 9 - 12:33 PM

Karl-Anthony Towns scored 19 points (6-of-16 FG, 5-of-6 FT) with ten rebounds, two assists, one steal, one blocked shot and two 3-pointers in 30 minutes Saturday against the Trail Blazers.

After going off for 35 points and 12 rebounds in Wednesday's win over the Hornets, Towns was kept in check by the Trail Blazers. And this may be a matter of the particular matchup more than the big man struggling, as he averaged 18.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in the teams' first two meetings this season. While he didn't get the win, Towns has now posted a double-double in three consecutive and six of his last seven games.
Dec 9 - 1:10 AM

Andrew Wiggins scored 20 points (8-of-18 FG, 4-of-6 FT) with six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one blocked shot in 33 minutes Saturday against the Trail Blazers.

Wiggins has scored 20 points or more in consecutive games for the first time since mid-November, and he's also reached double figures in six straight games since going scoreless in a Nov. 24 win over the Bulls. If there's a negative in the Kansas product's performance it's the fact that he missed all four of his shots from beyond the arc. In the three games prior Wiggins, who entered Saturday shooting 37.4% from distance, was a combined 7-of-13 on those shots.
Dec 9 - 12:59 AM

Jusuf Nurkic scored 22 points (7-of-10 FG, 8-of-9 FT) with 11 rebounds, four assists, four blocks and three steals in 29 minutes Saturday against the Timberwolves.

While Nurkic has now scored 22 points in four different games, it can be argued that his outing against Minnesota was his best of the season to date. The seven-footer posted his 13th double-double of the season, and his blocked shot and steals numbers matched single-game season highs as well. In the two games prior Nurkic scored a total of 18 points on 8-of-21 shooting from the field.
Dec 9 - 12:41 AM

Damian Lillard scored 28 points (8-of-16 FG, 8-of-9 FT) with eight rebounds, six assists, one steal and four 3-pointers in 36 minutes Saturday against the Timberwolves.

It was "Dame Time" late Saturday night, as Lillard scored ten points in the final 3:36 to push the Blazers past Minnesota. In addition to the points, he also assisted a C.J. McCollum three with 25.6 seconds remaining that gave Portland a 111-105 lead at the time. Entering Saturday the All-NBA point guard was averaging 27.2 points per game, and he's scored 28 points or more in five of Portland's last seven games.
Dec 9 - 12:32 AM

Jayson Tatum scored 18 points (7-of-9 FGs) with three rebounds, two assists, and four 3-pointers against the Bulls on Saturday.

Tatum saw just 21 minutes because the Celtics had their biggest win in franchise history against the Bulls. This was just the sixth time this season that he didn't register at least one block or steal. Tatum's been a top-30 9-cat value over the last month of play.
Dec 9 - 12:15 AM

Jaylen Brown scored a season-high 23 points (8-of-11 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs) with five rebounds three assists, two steals, and three 3-pointers in 28 minutes against the Bulls on Saturday.

Brown has now scored 20+ in two straight games, something he hadn't done at all before the last game. Coincidentally, he's been used off the bench in each game and has responded well. He's played better without Kyrie Irving last year, which could explain his success off the bench. While being used as a reserve might not hurt his value, the Celtics' depth will. He's still worth a look in deeper leagues if available.
