Jordan Bell (ankle) will be available to play Wednesday against the Lakers.

Bell will be returning from a three-game absence tonight, and while the Dubs could use him with Draymond Green (shoulder) out, they'll likely be very cautious with his minutes given all the troubles he's had with ankle issues.

Emmanuel Mudiay scored a career-high 34 points during a 126-124 overtime win over the Hornets on Friday, adding three rebounds, eight assists, two steals and one 3-pointer in 41 minutes.

He went crazy in the second half with 21 points for the second 20-point half for a Knick this season (Hardaway Jr.). Mudiay became just the ninth player in franchise history with at least 34 points, eight dimes and two steals in a game. The Knicks exploded in the second half to overcome a 21-point deficit in a stunning victory on the road. Frank Ntilikina (ankle) was not able to finish this game, which explains why Mudiay went off after Frank was cutting into his playing time. If you want to give him a look until Frank gets back, it's not a bad idea.
Dec 14 - 11:17 PM

Ben Simmons scored 18 points (7-of-15 FGs, 4-of-8 FTs) with nine rebounds, four assists, one block, two steals, and three turnovers in 38 minutes against the Pacers on Friday.

Simmons was active early again on Friday, going for seven points, six boards, and three dimes on the opening quarter. He wasn't as aggressive the rest of the game, but still impacted the game defensively. Simmons has now registered at least one block and at least one steal in four straight games.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the 3-team deal between the Wizards, Suns and Grizzlies is now dead.

The deal is dead because the Suns thought they were getting Dillon Brooks instead of MarShon Brooks. That means Trevor Ariza is staying in Phoenix for the time being, but we imagine the Suns will be back on the phones trying to move him right away.
Dec 14 - 11:09 PM

The 3-team deal between the Suns, Grizzlies and Wizards is now in jeopardy because the Suns apparently requested the wrong Brooks in the trade.

You can't make this stuff up. The Suns thought they would be getting Dillon Brooks, but the Grizzlies offered MarShon Brooks as part of the package. We're hearing that the Grizzlies might back out of the trade completely, but this story is far from over. There's never a boring day in the NBA.
Dec 14 - 11:02 PM

Marvin Bagley (left knee sprain) will not return to Friday's game against the Warriors.

Bagley took a bad fall after taking some contact while going for a rebound and immediately asked to be taken out of the game after grabbing his knee. He was ruled out just a few minutes later, which is never a good sign. He's most likely going to miss time, but we'll have to wait for further testing to see how long that' be. Nemanja Bjelica will gain the most in his absence, while Skal Labissiere and Harry Giles might pick up a few minutes, too.
Dec 14 - 10:56 PM

Zach LaVine's ankle injury is not serious according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

He'll undergo more tests on Saturday, but LaVine is still listed as doubtful to play vs. the Spurs. K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reported that LaVine is expected to miss a game or two, so his fantasy owners can just sit tight. The Bulls will likely use a committee approach to soak up LaVine's minutes and there isn't a clear fantasy pickup from this news.
Dec 14 - 10:50 PM

Joel Embiid scored 40 points (13-of-22 FGs, 13-of-16 FTs) with a career-high 21 rebounds, three assists, one block, one steal, one 3-pointer, and six turnovers in 34 minutes against the Pacers on Friday.

Embiid joined Dwight Howard and Carlos Boozer as the only players to put up a line of 28 points and 14 rebounds in one half of action in the last 15 years. He's been posting nightly lines that haven't been seen in a 76er uniform since Moses Malone and Charles Barkley. He did look a little tired in the second half, but he did have to carry the load with Jimmy Butler (groin) still out. He just keeps getting better and looks to be an MVP candidate.
Dec 14 - 10:49 PM

Kelly Oubre will be traded to the Grizzlies, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com.

Sure, the Wizards could be in a pickle when Oubre needs to get paid more as a restricted free agent this summer, but he's having easily his best year of his career and has improved in the non-stat areas, as well. Oubre has proven his positional flexibility and he should be able to take minutes from Shelvin Mack, Garrett Temple and Omri Casspi to get him to 26-30 minutes off the bench or even as a possible starter over Temple. He should have already been owned in standard leagues and this could help his fantasy ceiling with a little more risk.
Dec 14 - 10:25 PM

Giannis Antetokounmpo scored a season-high 44 points (14-of-19 FGs, 16-of-21 FTs) in a 114-102 win over the Cavaliers on Friday, adding 14 rebounds, eight assists, two blocks and four turnovers.

There’s nothing like a matchup with Cleveland’s 30th ranked defense to get a player going after Giannis was held to 12 points in his previous outing. "I had multiple defenders around me. I had to pass the ball and the game did not come back to me," a frustrated Giannis said about that loss. "We never as a team forced the issue for the game to come back to me. My team wants me to be unselfish, I’m going to pass the ball and that’s going to be it." Tonight was a different story with Giannis taking matters into his own hands with Khris Middleton (finger) and Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) both out, but it’s just a matter of time before Milwaukee’s offense is firing on all cylinders again.
Dec 14 - 10:09 PM

Robert Williams blocked a career-high five shots in 16 minutes against the Hawks, adding two points five boards and one turnover in 16 minutes.

The Time Lord has no mercy when it comes to protecting the rim, and he had his five blocks in 10 minutes before the fourth. On the year, Williams is up to 6.5 blocks per 36 minutes with a respectable 4.4 fouls in his 89-minute sample. Before the game, coach Brad Stevens talked up Williams for putting in work during film sessions, and he's earning minutes in a hurry. Still, he's currently the fourth C on the depth chart, but he did play next to Daniel Theis in garbage time. If you're in a deep league and want to stash some blocks, he's worth a look.
Dec 14 - 10:02 PM

Kevin Huerter matched his career-high 19 points with two rebounds, three assists, one block, three steals and five 3-pointers in 31 minutes against the Celtics on Friday.

This had nothing to do with garbage time and he's now scored 19 in back-to-back games. He was one of the best shooters in the draft, and he's caught fire lately. Since Nov. 18, he's made 25-of-51 from deep (49.0%). Huerter has assured himself a rotation spot when Taurean Prince comes back, and he may be playing well enough for coach Lloyd Pierce to push Kent Bazemore back to the bench. The upped pace and bad record makes Huerter worth an add in 12-team leagues to see how long he can keep it rolling.
