Trey Burke, Frank Ntilikina, Tim Hardaway Jr., Lance Thomas and Kyle O'Quinn will be in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Magic.

Ntilikina gets the start in his return from a one-game stint on the sidelines and Thomas will be Michael Beasley's (illness) replacement. However, Ntilikina has been too inconsistent this season to trust in most settings, and Thomas has no business being owned anywhere.

Andrew Wiggins shot 10-of-15 to score a team-high 25 points on Wednesday, with two rebounds, two steals, one assist and two 3-pointers in 37 minutes.

Wiggins has flipped the switch offensively in December, averaging 20.7 points on 51.1% shooting with 2.0 triples, 4.3 boards, 1.7 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.0 steals. That comes on the heels of a brutal November in which he shot 34.5%, but he's looked more energized and active recently. Playing time is never an issue so hopefully this is the beginning of a sea-change for Wiggins, and not just a teasing glimpse of his upside.
Dec 13 - 1:04 AM

Nemanja Bjelica exacted some revenge on Wednesday with 25 points, five rebounds, four 3-pointers, three assists and two blocks in a win vs. Minnesota.

Bjelica must be pleased with his decision as a free agent this summer. He landed a three-year, $20.5 million contract in a tight market, has started all 26 games for Sacramento, and tonight's win helped the Kings assume the No. 8 seed in the West (Minnesota is tied for No. 13). Bjelica has been a worthwhile fantasy option overall this season, but reduced minutes (29 tonight, but just 22.2 in November) make him hard to trust in most 10- and 12-team formats.

Dirk Nowitzki (ankle) plans to make his season debut in Thursday's road game against the Suns, according to Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com.

The target date for Dirk has changed a few times, but it sounds like he's finally going to make it out there after some setbacks. Before Wednesday's game, coach Rick Carlisle said Dirk is "getting closer" to a return, but the 40-year-old Hall of Fame big man is likely going to have a minutes cap upon his return. He's not the strongest add in standard leagues because he'll likely have minutes restrictions for a while.

John Collins scored 20 points (10-of-22 FGs, 0-of-1 FT) with 17 rebounds, one assist, one block, and five turnovers in 36 minutes against the Mavericks on Wednesday.

Another night, another career-high for Collins, with tonight being total rebounds (17) and offensive rebounds (nine). He's now double-double in five straight games, which extends his career-high mark. The only thing holding him back from climbing into the next tier of fantasy value is his lack of defensive stats. He has only one steal in his first 12 games and is averaging under one block per game. Outside of that, he's been unreal since returning from his ankle injury.
Dec 13 - 12:41 AM

Trae Young scored 24 points (11-of-20 FGs) with 10 assists, two steals, two 3-pointers, and just two turnovers in 35 minutes against Dallas on Wednesday.

Young showed up for his matchup against fellow top-5 pick Luka Doncic, notching his first double-digit assist game since Nov. 27. This was just his third game above 50% shooting on the season and the first since Oct. 30. He recently stated that he felt like he's up against the rookie wall, so hopefully this is a sign of him breaking through it.
Dec 13 - 12:24 AM

Anthony Davis made 16-of-32 from the field for a season-high 44 points during a 118-114 win over the Thunder on Wednesday, adding 18 rebounds, two assists, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer in 40 minutes.

He had his weekly trip to the locker room after Cheick Diallo fell into his quad in the first quarter, but AD returned in the second quarter. Once he was able to get loose, AD looked fine in another monster performance and made all 11 from the line, as well. Before the game, coach Alvin Gentry said he wanted to dial back AD's minutes, but of course he wasn't too tied to that idea with AD hitting 40 minutes for the eighth time this season. He's easily the best player in fantasy and it's not close, so his fantasy owners will deal with all the locker room trips.
Dec 13 - 12:18 AM

Harrison Barnes scored 25 points (8-of-16 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs) with three rebounds, one steal, and five 3-pointers in 32 minutes against the Hawks on Wednesday.

Barnes knocked down five triples for the second consecutive game for the second time this season. He's hit three or more triples in eight of his last ten games. He's proven to be a consistent source of points and triples, averaging 17.0 points and 3.0 triples over his last five games.
Dec 13 - 12:06 AM

Luka Doncic scored 24 points (5-of-14 FGs, 12-of-15 FTs) with 10 rebounds, six assists, one block, one steal, and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Hawks on Wednesday.

The Hawks got a front row seat at what they traded away as Doncic notched the first 20-10-5 game of his career. He's been alternating between good and bad games of late, with two single-digit outings sandwiched amid three 20-point games. The rookie is posting top-90 value in 9-cat leagues even with his inconsistency.
Dec 12 - 11:56 PM

Jonas Valanciunas has been diagnosed with a dislocated left thumb.

This is the initial diagnosis and we should have more specifics in the coming days, including a rough timetable. His absence will likely be measured in weeks, but owners should remain patient as we await more information. For as long as he's out, Serge Ibaka, Greg Monroe and OG Anunoby should all be asked to step up in the frontcourt rotation.
Dec 12 - 11:42 PM

Kyrie Irving scored 38 points during a 130-125 overtime win at Washington on Wednesday, adding three rebounds, seven assists, one steal and four 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

He was a one-man wrecking crew with the last 12 points for Boston in OT. Irving hit a contested corner three over John Wall and another 31-foot J near the half-court logo on back-to-back possessions to seal the deal for the Celtics. He missed Monday due to a shoulder injury from Thursday, and Irving did have a wrap on his shoulder in the second half because going off late. The Celtics do have a back-to-back set against the Hawks on Friday and at Detroit on Saturday, so his fantasy owners will want to make sure he's good for those.
Dec 12 - 11:35 PM

Marcus Morris scored 27 points with nine rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer in 40 minutes against the Wizards on Wednesday.

He's been awesome and he's making himself some serious money this upcoming summer. Morris scored 25-plus points in back-to-back games for the first time in his eight-year career, and Morris did take a quick jab at his brother's team in the win. "We just tried to move the ball," Morris said about the Wizards defense. "We knew that they were going to give up on plays if we got side to side." He closed at the five in this game and should be owned in all standard leagues.
