Heat coach Erik Spoelstra expects the Sixers to start Ersan Ilyasova at center for Game 2.

Ilyasova replaced Amir Johnson in the middle at halftime on Saturday, a move that effectively neutralized Hassan Whiteside, who played only 12 minutes. Philly coach Brett Brown didn't tip his hand about the starting lineup, but he did say the frontcourt pairing of Ilyasova and Dario Saric "will likely surface again." That's no surprise, considering how much success they found in Game 1.

Justin Anderson was traded to the Hawks on Thursday.

He's now been traded in deals involving Nerlens Noel and Carmelo Anthony. Anderson did see some spot minutes in the playoffs, but he still hasn't been able to string games together since his rookie summer league back in 2015. The 76ers now look like they will have Furkan Korkmaz in their rotation.

Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot was traded to the Thunder.

The 76ers are stacked at shooting guard and small forward with their Zhaire Smith pick and adding Wilson Chandler, so TLC had almost no chance to get into the rotation this season. He likely won't be in the rotation with the Thunder either as he tries to find an offensive identity.
Jul 19 - 5:01 PM

Mike Muscala will be headed to the 76ers in the Carmelo Anthony trade.

The Hawks clear out another big man to now pave the way for John Collins to be the man with 30-plus minutes -- an easy breakout candidate pick. As for Muscala, he adds some extra shooting as a combo big, and his addition helps offset the loss of Nemanja Bjelica. He likely will be used against bigger fours, or in the second half as an option behind Joel Embiid.
Jul 19 - 4:55 PM

Dennis Schroder and Mike Muscala will be traded to the Thunder in the Carmelo Anthony deal.

The Hawks have been trying to get Schroder off their books for basically all of 2018, and they were finally able to do so in the Melo salary dump. Schroder still has three years and about $46.5 million left on his deal, and he won't be an unrestricted free agent until 2021. Obviously, his fantasy value takes a gigantic hit as Russell Westbrook's backup, but he'll play some SG minutes at times. Jeremy Lin and Trae Young will handle the PG time for the Hawks now.

Oklahoma City has agreed to trade Carmelo Anthony and a protected 2022 first-round pick to Atlanta for Dennis Schroder and Mike Muscala, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com.

Melo is going to be waived and pick his team of choice after he clears waivers. The Rockets are the heavy favorite to land Melo, which would make him a starting forward on a playoff contender. Anthony's career has taken a nosedive after a brutal finish to his 2017-18 season.

Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavericks plan to finalize a one-year, $5 million contract, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.

There has never been any doubt that Dirk would be back with Dallas next season, the only question was the value of the contract. Nowitzki has also stated that he is not sure if this will be his final NBA campaign. Dirk will be entering his age-40 season but was surprisingly durable in 2017-18, starting 77 of the Mavs first 78 games.
Jul 19 - 1:15 PM

Yogi Ferrell has agreed to a two-year, $5.3 million contract with the Mavs.

The second season of Ferrell's deal includes a trigger date on July 7. According to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports, Yogi was promised the backup shooting guard position to start next season. However, Dallas drafted Luka Doncic and Jalen Brunson back in June, so Ferrell may see fewer minutes in 2018-19. Last season, he appeared in all 82 games and averaged 10.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 27.8 minutes, while shooting 42.6% from the floor.
Jul 19 - 12:49 PM

Marcus Smart has agreed to a four-year, $52 million deal to return to the Boston Celtics, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports.

Smart averaged 10.2 points, 4.8 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 54 games last season. However, his value is not measured by standard counting stats alone. He brings a defensive intensity and overall tenacity to the court that the rest of the Celtics feed off. From a fantasy perspective, he will likely see slightly reduced playing time and production next season, assuming Kyrie Irving returns healthy.
Jul 19 - 10:24 AM

Nemanja Bjelica is reportedly discussing a two-year deal with the Kings in the $13 million range with approximately $2 million guaranteed for the 2019-20 season.

Bjelica backed out of a one-year, $4.4 million deal with the Sixers earlier this week after he had previously agreed to terms. The initial explanation was that he wanted to return to Europe next season. However, it appears it may be a financially motivated decision. The Kings have plenty of depth at power forward, so Bjelica would likely be slotted at SF for Sacramento.

The Raptors' conversations with Kawhi Leonard and his representatives since the trade have been "positive," according to Bruce Arthur of The Toronto Star.

Leonard reportedly hadn't wanted to play for Toronto and was focused on joining an L.A. team, but according to Arthur, "[In recent talks] there was no indication of a holdout or even an unwillingness to play in Toronto. So far, it seems like Leonard may have an open mind." If Kawhi is healthy and buys into the Raptors' vision, they could vie for the top seed in the East and he should cruise to first-round fantasy value. We'll get a better sense of his health if he joins the Team USA mini-camp in Vegas next week.
Jul 18 - 9:27 PM

Michael Porter Jr. (back) had surgery last week related to a herniated disk in his back.

Additionally, the Porter Jr. camp believes that they won't need him to sit out next season. However, the Nuggets have made it abundantly clear there is no rush on the No. 14 pick, so there's a very real chance he won't be ready. After missing almost all of last season, one of the best prospects at this time last year has his career off to a tough start.
