The Bucks have hired Mike Budenholzer as their next head coach, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

It's a four-year contract and it didn't take long for Budenholzer to land another head coaching job after parting ways with the Hawks in late April. He's previously been connected to the Raptors and Knicks, but will instead take over a coveted position for the young and talented Bucks, hoping to push Giannis Antetokounmpo and company into championship contention. He compiled a 213-197 record (.520) in five seasons with Atlanta, including Coach of the Year honors in 2015, and it's a strong hire for the ascendant Bucks.

Caleb Swanigan hit 9-of-13 shots and a 3-pointer on his way to 21 points, 16 rebounds and a block in Monday's 97-92 SL win over the Grizzlies.

The Blazers will face the Lakers in the championship game in Vegas on Tuesday night, marking the second straight year the two have played in the Final. Swanigan, known as Biggie in Portland, has had a nice summer, but tonight was easily his best and most efficient night. The Blazers aren't exactly deep at power forward, so Swanigan could make some fantasy noise next season. Let's see what he does in training camp and the preseason.
Jul 17 - 1:03 AM

Josh Hart led the Lakers with a Summer-league record 37 points and six 3-pointers on 13-of-28 shooting before fouling out in the final seconds of Monday's double-overtime, 112-109 win over the Cavaliers to advance to the Summer League Finals tomorrow night.

He bested Lonzo Ball's 36-point game from last Summer with this one and helped the Lakers win their 12th straight SL game. The MVP vote takes place tonight, and if Hart doesn't win it, the fix is in. Ball was last Summer's Vegas MVP, and Hart added nine rebounds, a steal and a block to his line. Magic Johnson has been so impressed, he says that Hart has a chance to start this season for the Lakers, and Hart has certainly turned heads with his Vegas showing. The Lakers will play the winner of the Grizzlies-Blazers for the Vegas title on Tuesday night.

Collin Sexton hit 9-of-22 shots, a 3-pointer and 8-of-10 free throws for 27 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals in 32 minutes of Monday's double-overtime loss against the Lakers on Monday night.

This was as good a Summer League game as you'll ever see and the 19-year-old's intensity was more reminiscent of an NBA Finals game than Summer League. Sexton was doing it on both ends of the court and he gained some tremendous experience in this game. Sexton was all over the court in the fourth quarter and two overtime periods, and outside of a missed free throw and a key turnover (which would have been overturned with replay), was fantastic. Yes, his stat line could have been better, but if you watched the game, it's clear that Cleveland fans are going to quickly fall in love with this kid.
Jul 16 - 10:52 PM

According to Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Christian Wood is drawing interest from several NBA teams.

Velazquez adds that a deal may not be far off, but notes that the Bucks are not one of the teams. Wood was dominant at the Summer League for Milwaukee, averaging 20.4 points, 10.8 rebounds and 2.8 blocks. The 22-year-old does have some nice upside and could be intriguing if he lands a deal with a rebuilding team.
Jul 16 - 9:51 PM

Jaren Jackson Jr. finished Sunday's victory with 14 points, eight rebounds and four blocks in 19 minutes, helping Memphis advance to the Las Vegas Summer League semifinals.

Jackson came in shooting just 37.0% through four games in Vegas, but he's also been grabbing 8.3 boards with 3.8 swats in only 25.5 minutes. His fantasy potential as a shot-blocker and rebounder is glaring. He has the length, timing and athleticism to be a keeper-league favorite. He knocked down 2-of-4 triples and all four of his free throws tonight, too, which is very encouraging.
Jul 15 - 11:51 PM

Wade Baldwin had 14 points, 10 assists, one rebound and one steal vs. the Celtics on Sunday, making 6-of-12 shots with one 3-pointer.

Blazers GM Neil Olshey spoke about Baldwin during the telecast and gave the impression that his $1.5 million salary will be guaranteed -- Portland has until July 19 to make a final decision. Even if he does earn backup PG minutes, though, it's hard to see him emerging as a fantasy asset with Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum and Seth Curry on the roster.
Jul 15 - 9:48 PM

Collin Sexton finished Sunday's victory with 18 points, six assists, three rebounds and three turnovers in 27 minutes, making 6-of-14 FGs and 6-of-8 FTs.

The Cavs' Summer League coach, James Posey, has been encouraging Sexton to play to his aggressive instincts in Vegas. "'We gotta push the pace. Make or miss, get the ball down the court,'" Posey told Sexton. "It gives him the opportunity to go one-on-one, or play it out and get a pick-and-roll to go downhill ... He’s been controlling the game for us." Cleveland could turn Sexton loose as a rookie now that LeBron is gone, and his knack for drawing fouls should help points-league owners, but concerns about efficiency and turnovers may depress his fantasy value on draft day.

Josh Hart put up 18 points in Sunday's Summer League win over the Pistons, adding four assists, two rebounds, two steals and one 3-pointer across 21 minutes.

Hart got off to a hot start, sinking his first four shots, and perhaps he had some extra incentive to put his skills on display with LeBron James watching from the sidelines. He also did an excellent job of shutting down Bruce Brown Jr. on the other end of the floor, and based on recent comments from Magic Johnson, it seems he'll be competing for the starting two-spot with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope at training camp. Hart could make for a nice sleeper pick on draft day.
Jul 15 - 5:55 PM

Jaren Jackson Jr. swatted seven shots during a win over the Jazz on Saturday, adding nine points, nine rebounds, one assist, one steal and one 3-pointer in 24 minutes.

Those seven blocks tie the Vegas record for blocks in a game. Jackson has put up a slew of blocks on smaller players, and it's becoming even more clear that he can play defense in space. As the Grizzlies try to expand his offensive limits, Jackson Jr. has trended down since his 29-point opener, but he continues to be an impactful player.
Jul 15 - 12:15 AM

Jevon Carter scored 26 points with eight rebounds, six assists, two steals, one block and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes against the Jazz on Saturday.

He had a strong game on Thursday with Kobi Simmons sitting, but this time Carter did damage on offense with Kobi in the starting lineup next to him. Carter was viewed as a defense-first guard for his big-time steals numbers, but his offense has been eye-catching. If he has a big camp, maybe Carter can find some time with the big club before 2019.
Jul 15 - 12:13 AM

Shabazz Napier has agreed to a two-year deal with the Brooklyn Nets, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com.

He's coming off his best season and is 27 years old. The Nets didn't waste time to add another point guard after trading Jeremy Lin away, so Napier will be the newest third PG on the depth chart. Although, Caris LeVert is still going to be vying for minutes at the point, so Napier is going to have to earn his rotation spot.
