James Harden had 27 points, 10 rebounds and three assists in Houston’s 127-105 Game 2 win over Golden State on Wednesday.

Harden’s 27 points tied Eric Gordon for the team-high, and he got some much needed help from his teammates for Houston to pull off the victory and tie the series at 1-1. Five Rockets scored in double digits, including Chris Paul, P.J. Tucker and Trevor Ariza, and the team knocked down 16 triples after making 13 in Game 1. Harden also came up big on the glass, and his 10 boards were a postseason high.

Kyle Kuzma matched his career-high seven 3-pointers during a 138-128 overtime victory over the Thunder on Thursday, finishing with 32 points, eight rebounds, four assists, three steals and four turnovers.

Not bad against the NBA's best defense, and his three steals also matched his career-high. Kuzma was slumping over his previous three games despite two easy matchups against the Bulls and Cavs, so this was unexpected. LeBron James (groin) is set to start practicing next week, but he doesn't have a timetable to return just yet. With the Rockets on the horizon for Saturday, Kuzma could keep it going with another strong performance.

Paul George scored 27 points (9-of-19 FGs, 4-of-6 FTs) with seven rebounds, eight assists, three steals and five 3-pointers in 44 minutes against the Lakers on Thursday.

George did almost all of his damage in the first three quarters of this one, scoring 26 of his 27 points in that time frame. He didn't attempt any shots in the fourth quarter and missed all five of his shots in the overtime period. Outside of that, PG matched his season-high in assists and swiped at least two steals for the fourth straight game. He continues to put up first round value in 9-category formats.

Ivica Zubac dominated against the Thunder on Thursday, making 12-of-14 from the field for a career-high 26 points with 12 rebounds, one assist and four turnovers in 28 minutes.

The one they call Zupac wasn't going platinum, he was going double-uranium in this win. Zubac had a +35 plus/minus and he played the final 20 minutes excluding a few seconds for situational subs. He played just eight minutes in the last game after coach Luke Walton made a switch to Tyson Chandler to start, but this outstanding game could be enough for Walton to make another switch -- Chandler also tweaked his hand. If Zu starts, he would get a potential dream matchup against the Rockets on Saturday after Jarrett Allen went for 20 and 24 against Houston on Wednesday. Zubac might not stick, but it's hard to leave him on the wire after this strong game, especially when his coach is searching for answers at the five. Fantasy owners can picture Zubac rollin' to the rim and may want to get around to picking him up in standard leagues.

Russell Westbrook struggled shooting on Thursday, making just 7-of-30 shots for 26 points with nine rebounds, 13 assists, one block, one steal and five 3-pointers in 43 minutes against the Lakers.

Westbrook made just 2-of-18 of his 2-point field goals in this one, but did knock down a season-high five triples to help make up for it. He also made 7-of-10 from the free throw line, including three at the end of regulation to tie the game and sent it to overtime. There was just a 26.5% chance of him making all three foul shots based on his season FT%, but the former MVP came up clutch. Russ' FT% is trending up of late, sitting at 75% over the last five games.
Jan 18 - 12:33 AM

Jamal Murray made seven 3-pointers against the Bulls on Thursday, finishing with 25 points, two rebounds, five assists and one turnover in 29 minutes.

He's getting hot again and coincidentally he's made 50.0% from the field in each of his last three, averaging 23.3 points, 3.0 boards, 4.0 dimes, 0.3 steals and 4.0 treys in those outings. The made treys tell the story here, and Murray only made two shots at the rim over these three. The Blue Arrow gets another easy matchup against the Cavs on Saturday, so maybe he'll shoot above 50% in that one. He's trending up.

Lauri Markkanen didn't get much help during a 135-105 loss to the Nuggets on Thursday, scoring 27 points with 10 rebounds, one assist and five 3-pointers in 25 minutes.

He scored 15 of the first 21 points for the Bulls, including a run with 10 points in 90 seconds. The Bulls were actually leading at the end of the first, but their defense fell apart with 42 points given up in the third. Markkanen was in a mini-slump before this strong outing, failing to hit 20 points in five straight. There was some concern that he is still playing through his elbow injury, but e is starting to show more confidence in his shooting. The Bulls are bad, but Lauri should be a mid-round player going forward with some early-round upside.
Jan 17 - 11:31 PM

Deandre Ayton double-doubled against the Raptors on Thursday, scoring 15 points (6-of-8 FGs, 3-of-4 FTs) with 17 rebounds, two assists, two blocks and two steals in 35 minutes.

Ayton grabbed at least 17 rebounds for the fifth time so far this season. He hasn't been as good of late, posting late-sixth round value over the last two weeks, but he's still comfortably holding top-25 value in 9-category leagues on the season. The number one overall pick is averaging 14.8 points, 11.0 boards and 1.6 blocks over his last five outings. Peaks and valleys are natural for rookies, but Ayton's peaks are higher than most.
Jan 17 - 11:23 PM

Bobby Portis got the start against the Nuggets on Thursday, making 4-of-13 from the field for 10 points with 13 rebounds, four assists and one 3-pointer in 28 minutes.

He even played some garbage time at the four next to Cris Felicio. Portis is not shooting the ball well at all with this dud and a 1-of-11 on Tuesday, so it's possible his elbow injury from last week could be affecting him. Still, Wendell Carter Jr. (thumb) could miss additional time and Portis should be taking plenty of shots, so he's worth owning in standard leagues while WCJ is out.
Jan 17 - 11:16 PM

Devin Booker led the Suns with 30 points (10-of-21 FGs, 6-of-9 FTs), adding two rebounds, eight assists and four 3-pointers in 35 minutes against the Raptors on Thursday.

Booker looked much better in his second game back after returning from a three-game absence last time out. He struggled and scored just eight points on Tuesday, but rebounded with his ninth 30-point game of the season in this one. Booker continues to put up career-best assist numbers on a nightly basis, in addition to his already very good scoring numbers. Hopefully he can stay healthy down the stretch.

Joel Embiid fought through a back injury during a 120-96 win over the Pacers on Thursday, scoring 22 points with 13 rebounds, eight assists, one steal, three blocks, five turnovers and two 3-pointers in 35 minutes.

It was very clear that Embiid was playing through his stiff lower back. The TNT broadcast reported that the back issue comes and goes for Embiid, and it may not be going away. Embiid was getting treatment throughout the game and going through stretching exercises, as well. Embiid did look a little better in the second half, and coach Brett Brown credited the med staff for taking care of their franchise center. He's probably going to be on the injury report for a few games, but the good news is the 76ers won't get a back-to-back set until Feb. 12-13.
Jan 17 - 10:47 PM

Jimmy Butler had one of his better offensive showings against the Pacers on Thursday, making 10-of-17 from the field for 27 points with five rebounds, eight assists, three steals and one 3-pointer in 35 minutes.

His eight dimes are the most he's had with the 76ers and it's his first game in 2019 without a turnover. The 76ers as a team looked awesome in the first half with 19 assists after a 21-dime first half in the last game. They also have the No. 1 offense in the Eastern Conference over the last seven games thanks to their NBA-best 72.0% assist percentage over that span. All the talk of Jimmy not fitting with the offense may be gone for a while as Jimmy puts up early-round value in standard leagues.
