James Harden had 27 points, 10 rebounds and three assists in Houston’s 127-105 Game 2 win over Golden State on Wednesday.

Harden’s 27 points tied Eric Gordon for the team-high, and he got some much needed help from his teammates for Houston to pull off the victory and tie the series at 1-1. Five Rockets scored in double digits, including Chris Paul, P.J. Tucker and Trevor Ariza, and the team knocked down 16 triples after making 13 in Game 1. Harden also came up big on the glass, and his 10 boards were a postseason high.

Josh Jackson scored 18 points with two rebounds, three assists, one block and three 3-pointers in 28 minutes off the bench against the Mavs on Wednesday.

He made 3-of-4 from deep and had a few jumpers inside the arc. Jackson struggled mightily on jumpers in Vegas and in the preseason, so we're not going to by this output yet. However, we are buying the minutes with Jackson closing at shooting guard next to Devin Booker at the point. He will find a way to score in the teens and should add defensives stats, so he should be owned in all leagues.

Ricky Rubio finished Wednesday's game with one point, four assists, two rebounds and one steal in 22 minutes of action, and he reportedly "jammed his thumb."

De'Aaron Fox ran wild vs. Utah tonight and Rubio was outplayed by Dante Exum, but the thumb issue is the headline for fantasy owners. He was already expected to spend more time off the ball, and that's not ideal for a career 38.5% shooter whose 41.8% last season was a personal best. Rubio has too much proven mid-round upside to fret about one poor game, assuming his 'jammed' thumb isn't a problem -- we'll start to worry if he's missing games and/or struggling after Halloween.
Oct 18 - 1:54 AM

Boban Marjanovic scored 18 points with eight rebounds and two turnovers in 18 minutes against the Nuggets on Wednesday.

Before we freak out, let's remember that Boban has owned Denver multiple times, so that could have been a factor. OK. That enough to temper excited? Good. Boban could be freed and Marcin Gortat has said that Boban could have a dominating role on the Clips. Plus, Montrezl Harrell also played the four as Boban outplayed Gortat easily. Boban's upside is just too high to leave on the waiver wire after a game like this one. We'd suggest adding him now and figuring out the rest later. Maybe you will have to drop him the next time out, but it'll sting badly if he's for real and someone else gets to ride the Boban train. Free Boban.

DeMar DeRozan scored 28 points with four rebounds, four assists and three turnovers in 38 minutes during the Spurs' season-opening home win on Wednesday.

DeRozan spoke repeatedly this preseason about playing aggressively on offense, and he followed through tonight with 10-of-21 FGs and 7-of-11 FTs. He averaged a career-high 5.2 dimes last season and should approach that mark again with Dejounte Murray (knee) out for the season -- DeMar, Pau Gasol and LaMarcus Aldridge will all be tasked with more table-setting duties. We have 81 regular-season games to go, but he's already looking like a fantasy value for owners who took him in the 40-50 range.
Oct 18 - 1:16 AM

LaMarcus Aldridge hauled in 19 rebounds, eight on the offensive glass, to finish Wednesday's game with 21 points, two assists, three blocks and one steal.

The scary part is that LMA could have completely gone off if his shots were falling, since he made just 7-of-23 field goals and 7-of-10 free throws. He had a modest usage rate of 26.9% but this is a great start for fantasy owners -- he took 23+ shots in only 11 games last season, so to hit that mark on opening night alongside DeMar DeRozan is all you can ask for.
Oct 18 - 1:13 AM

Jeff Teague scored a team-high 27 points in a losing effort on Wednesday, making 8-of-12 FGs and 9-of-9 FTs with four assists and two steals.

Teague was 2-of-3 from deep and did his damage in a modest 32 minutes, highlighting the reason he was an undervalued PG to target in the middle rounds. He did tweak his right ankle tonight but walked it off and appeared no worse for the wear, so we're leaving him off the injury report. He snuck into top-60 value last year and should improve with another year's experience under coach Tom Thibodeau, so owners can set-it-and-forget-it with him as a fantasy starter.
Oct 18 - 1:05 AM

Karl-Anthony Towns fouled out in just 22 minutes vs. the Spurs on Wednesday, scoring eight points (2-of-6 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs) with nine rebounds and three assists.

KAT was hit with three straight offensive fouls to end his night, but foul trouble isn't a common issue for him. The good news is that he only stands to gain if Jimmy Butler is traded away, providing one more reason to believe he'll finish as a top-three fantasy value. He's a double-double machine and led the league in that category with 68 last season -- throw in his stellar 42.1% shooting from deep, and he's even more appealing in leagues with esoteric settings. He'll soon atone for tonight's quiet game.
Oct 18 - 1:03 AM

P.J. Tucker scored 19 points with two rebounds, one assist, one steal, one block and four 3-pointers in 34 minutes against the Pelicans on Wednesday.

The Rockets reportedly called Tucker close to untouchable in trades and you can see why. He's going to play center a lot on this roster, and he'll be getting more shots than in just about any situation in his career. Tucker could be in the mold of Trevor Ariza with plenty of treys and steals, so he's looking like a strong pickup in nine-cat leagues.
Oct 18 - 12:29 AM

Kyle Lowry lit up the Cavs for a game-high 27 points on Wednesday, sinking 10-of-12 shots with five 3-pointers, eight assists, one board, one steal and one block.

It must be noted that Toronto was up against the Cavs' defense tonight, but Lowry was still impressive and the early returns of his pairing with Kawhi Leonard are encouraging. Raptors coach Nick Nurse has made it clear that the starting lineup will fluctuate throughout the season, saying he'd "like to keep [the lineups] a little fluid, only because I think this is a super versatile team," but K-Low and Kawhi are immune to any changes.

Oct 18 - 12:17 AM

Kawhi Leonard made his regular-season Raptors debut on Wednesday, scoring 24 points with 12 rebounds, two assists and one 3-pointer in 37 minutes.

A tumultuous summer and injury-spoiled 2017-18 campaign don't detract from the simple fact that Kawhi is a top-five fantasy player when healthy. He made 9-of-22 field goals and 5-of-6 free throws, and helped Toronto cruise to a 116-104 opening-night victory. His quad injury appears completely healed and he could be a steal for owners who landed him in the late-first or second rounds.
Oct 18 - 12:14 AM

Goran Dragic scored 26 points with four rebounds, four assists, one block and three 3-pointers in 33 minutes against the Magic on Wednesday.

D.J. Augustin couldn't guard him as Dragic was up to his Dragon ways with several creative drives to the basket. Despite some injuries in the preseason, Dragic looks 100 percent as he runs the offense on a team short on guard depth right now. He's not the most-coveted guy to own, but Dragic should coast to at least mid-round value.
