The Clippers may try to move up to get Luka Doncic, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports.

The Clippers have the No. 12 and 13 picks, but even those two picks likely won't be enough to get Doncic. The Slovenian guard is also expected to talk with the Suns either in person or over the phone, but almost all signs point to Doncic falling in the 2-5 range.

The Heat have reportedly been "aggressive" in their pursuit of Jimmy Butler.

Miami wasn't one of the squads that Butler named as a team he'd be interested in signing an extension with, but Pat Riley appears willing to take the risk, as a talent like Butler would immediately catapult the Heat into contender status out East. He'd also have a full year to sell Butler on Miami's culture, and Erik Spoelstra's hard-nosed, defense-first approach would likely jive with what Butler is looking for. Ultimately, whoever presents the most attractive package to Scott Layden and Tom Thibodeau will be the winners of the Butler sweepstakes, and Miami is just one of many names to be in the mix thus far.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Cavaliers could make a push for Jimmy Butler.

Butler has now been linked to nearly half the league, but there doesn't appear to be a frontrunner just yet. It would make the most sense for the Clippers to make a push because they would still have the cap space to bring in Kawhi Leonard next summer. Cavs owner Dan Gilbert was seen talking privately with Wolves owner Glen Taylor at the NBA Board of Governors meeting on Friday, but Wojnarowski didn't mention any pieces that would be involved in a potential deal.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Wolves owner Glen Taylor "has mandated that a deal needs to be negotiated to trade disgruntled All-Star forward Jimmy Butler in the next several days."

Head coach Tom Thibodeau and GM Scott Layden have been opposed to moving Butler, but Taylor is taking matters into his own hands. He wants to get a deal done before the Wolves begin practicing on Tuesday, and while only a few teams have had serious conversations about a trade, Wojnarowski is reporting that Brooklyn, Detroit, Houston, the Clippers, Miami, Philadelphia and Portland are among the teams interested.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Joakim Noah and the Knicks are nearing an agreement on his waive and stretch.

Noah will not report to camp while the two sides finalize the details. Charania adds that Noah "has worked diligently this offseason" and that "several teams are monitoring his upcoming entrance in free agency." With Noah on the way out, Mitchell Robinson is the early favorite to back up Enes Kanter at center.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed at 242 pounds on the training camp roster.

That puts him nine pounds heavier than last year. If you've seen Giannis at all this offseason, you've probably noticed how ripped he looks. Antetokounmpo is still just 23 years old and it's hard to believe he could get even stronger. After a major leap forward last year, he could have an even bigger role with Jabari Parker out of the picture. He's locked in as a top-four pick.

Karl-Anthony Towns and the Wolves have agreed to a five-year, $190 million super-maximum extension, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.com.

He's the toast of the Towns. In what has been a week of bad news in Minnesota, the Wolves finally lock up one of the best young players in the NBA. Despite some controversy, there was almost no doubt that the Wolves were going to sign Towns because it's almost impossible for KAT to turn down this type of money. Sure, he's been the most durable player in the NBA with his 82-82-82 games-played log per season, but now he has financial security for life. With Jimmy Butler headed out of town, KAT is likely set for a career year after he's improved his efficiency, free throw rate and several other stats in each of his three seasons. He's locked in as a top-two pick in fantasy leagues in basically all formats.

The Suns signed De'Anthony Melton to a two-year, $2.3 million deal.

The Suns were able to reel in Melton from a trade with the Rockets after Houston stole him at No. 46 in the draft. It's fair to say Melton's summer league caught Phoenix's eye, and he wasn't just a throw-in player based on some quotes from Rockets GM Daryl Morey. There are multiple reports saying the Suns are after a PG, but for now Melton may have a shot at a rotation spot out of the gate. If the Suns aren't able to add a PG, Melton could be an option as a steals and 3-pointers specialists on one of the fastest teams in the league.

There is a "real possibility" Jimmy Butler may not report to training camp if a trade has not been consummated, according to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.

Earlier, Woj reported that the Wolves are shutting down trade offers on Butler right now, so it would appear Butler is willing to take his trade request to another level. It sounds like this relationship is beyond repair, but the Wolves may not be willing to accommodate Jimmy's list of the Clippers, Nets and Knicks as possible destinations. If Butler is still on the roster for most of camp, it'll create a major distraction for the team. Expect several updates this weekend.

Coach Mike D'Antoni said he wants to have Carmelo Anthony off the floor when P.J. Tucker is on and vice versa.

The Rockets are expected to start these two along with Chris Paul, James Harden and Clint Capela, so it'll be very interesting to see which of the two forwards plays better with CP3 or Harden -- Melo is likely better next to CP3. MDA also has said he is expecting James Ennis to take a ton of threes, so there's a very good chance he'll be playing next to Melo and Tucker. Anthony should get plenty of chances to shoot threes, but there may not as much opportunity to create on his own.

General manager Dell Demps said Solomon Hill is in "phenomenal shape" right now.

Demps also said that Hill came back before he was 100 percent, so that explains what was essentially a lost season. There's a very good chance that Hill could wind up as the starting small forward, which could push out Elfrid Payton or E'Twaun Moore. Even if Hill starts, he would likely be a defense-first addition to the lineup and would be near the bottom for usage rate among NBA starters.

General manager Dell Demps said Cheick Diallo has probably put on 10-12 pounds of muscle.

Demps added that Diallo hasn't lost a step, maintaining his speed and energy. Diallo's third Vegas trip was a success back in July, and it's clear he has some potential as an offensive weapon. However, the edition of Julius Randle serves as a roadblock for Diallo this season. For now, he's really just a last-round lotto ticket in deep leagues.
