Michael Porter Jr.'s MRI on his hip came back clean.

He is reportedly "feeling better" and received a "positive review" on his hip. This is a huge relief considering he had trouble "getting out of bed" and was forced to cancel his second pro day on Friday. It sounds like there's a chance the workout could be back on, so we'll be on the lookout for another update this evening.
Jun 14 - 1:34 PM

Aaron Gordon posted his third consecutive double-double, scoring 20 points (7-of-12 FGs, 6-of-9 FTs) with 12 rebounds, three assists, one steal, and three blocks in minutes on Saturday against the 76ers.

Gordon has been active on the boards so far this season, averaging 12.7 in the Magic's first three games. This was something both he and the coaches wanted him to improve on this season and so far so good. If he can keep the FG% at a respectable level, his contributions in steals, blocks, and boards will lift him to a monster season.
Oct 20 - 11:08 PM

Will Barton suffered a right hip injury on Saturday night and was carried off on a stretcher, per the television broadcast. He will obviously not return tonight.

The good news is that it was his hip and not a groin. The bad news is that the Nuggets aren't giving us anymore information than that, and the fact that Barton didn't leave under his own power is concerning. We're going to call him day-to-day for now and Trey Lyles looks like the guy to grab if you need someone. Torrey Craig and Juan Hernangomez should also see a boost if Barton is going to miss time.
Oct 20 - 11:03 PM

Evan Fournier snapped out of his 3-point shooting funk, scoring 31 points (12-of-23 FGs) with four rebounds, three assists, one steal, and six 3-pointers 34 minutes on Saturday against the 76ers.

Fournier was ice cold in the Magic's first two games, shooting just 2-of-14 from deep, but found his stroke early in this one. He's posted nearly identical stats in his last two campaigns and is a good bet to put up similar this season. The Magic don't have much in the way of scoring guards, which means Fournier will be out there for 30+ minutes most nights. Keep him in your lineups.
Oct 20 - 10:59 PM

Nikola Vucevic dominated on Saturday, scoring 27 points (10-of-15 FGs) with 13 rebounds, 12 assists, two steals, and four 3-pointers in 38 minutes against the Sixers.

This was Vucevic's second career triple-double. Coach Steve Clifford was looking for more ball movement and Vooch obliged. Mo Bamba only played 14 minutes in this one and some of those were next to Vooch. It looks like he'll hold onto his value as long as he stays with the Magic, which could be most of the season. He's going to contribute across the board and should be in all lineups.
Oct 20 - 10:52 PM

Kyle Lowry scored 28 points with three rebounds, 12 assists, one steal, one block and four 3-pointers in 35 minutes during a 117-113 win over the Wizards on Saturday.

With Kawhi Leonard resting, it was the Kyle Lowry Over Everything show to get the second win in a back-to-back over what should be another Eastern Conference playoff team. Lowry was not staggered away from Kawhi in the first two games with 67 of his 70 minutes coming next to him, but nobody would've doubted Lowry carrying the team. He'll flirt with top-25 value all season.
Oct 20 - 10:43 PM

Pascal Siakam scored 10 points with 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and one 3-pointer in 26 minutes off the bench against the Wizards on Saturday.

For the first time this season, he got some minutes at center in this one, which he did on occasion last year. Siakam is likely going to start most nights and he's really grown as a defender in space, so that should help him stay on the court as he endears himself to coach Nick Nurse. Siakam's upside isn't the highest right now, but he may trend up.
Oct 20 - 10:24 PM

Bradley Beal scored 32 points with three rebounds, six assists, one block, one steal and six 3-pointers in 35 minutes during a 117-113 loss to the Raptors on Saturday.

He passed Gilbert "Hibachi" Arena for the franchise record in made 3-pointers and he'll probably have that doubled by the time his contract is over. Despite some talk of Otto Porter likely to get more shots, Beal is still getting his and he'll even have a chance at 3.0 treys made per game, too. He should have no problem hitting early-round value.
Oct 20 - 10:16 PM

Joel Embiid was dominant on Saturday, scoring 32 points (13-of-26 FGs) with 10 rebounds, three assists, and three 3-pointers in 34 minutes against the Magic.

Embiid was dominant from the start, scoring 21 points in the first half. He had a filthy Euro-step on Nikola Vucevic and then proceeded to Euro-step his way to the bench after the Magic called a timeout (video in link below). Ben Simmons left the game in the first quarter with a back injury and the Sixers needed Embiid to step up, which he did. This is the second time in his career that he has posted back-to-back 30 point outings, the first coming last November. Embiid will be a monster as long as he's healthy.
Oct 20 - 10:15 PM

J.J. Redick was hitting from deep early and often on Saturday, scoring 31 points (10-of-20 FGs, 8-of-13 3PTs, 3-of-3 FTs) with four rebounds, four assists, and one steal in 32 minutes against the Magic.

Redick likes to play against the Magic, as he hit eight 3-pointers in a game against them last season, too. He struggled in the first two games this year, shooting only 3-of-11 from deep. Redick is a very important player for the Sixers, whether he starts or not. His presence changed the game immediately and he hit the game-winning triple late in the fourth quarter. He'll be a steady source of points and threes going forward.
Oct 20 - 10:07 PM

Victor Oladipo scored 25 points with seven rebounds, three assists, four steals and three 3-pointers in 33 minutes during a 132-112 win over the Nets on Saturday.

Finally, the steals show up here after failing to get any in his first two. In his active regular season games, Oladipo had a steal in every outing from Nov. 12 until the end of the season. Oladipo's usage has been high again and he should have no problem duplicating his breakout year last season.
Oct 20 - 10:00 PM

Caris LeVert had another outstanding game during a 132-112 loss to the Pacers on Saturday, making 8-of-9 from the field for 19 points with four rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block, four turnovers and two 3-pointers in 28 minutes.

That's good for a 100.0 eFG%. Efficiency has been the name of the game as LeVert makes his campaign for a breakout, and now he has an absurd 75.1 TS% on the year to go with his 27.1 usage rate. LeVert is not doing this with fluky jumpers as he always finds a way to get clean looks thanks to his explosiveness. He continues to look like one of the steals of fantasy drafts and we're expecting him to contend for Most Improved Player.
