The Heat have reportedly been unable to find a trade market for Hassan Whiteside or Tyler Johnson this summer.

Miami would like to get these guys off the books in order to open up cap space for free agency in 2019, but Whiteside's attitude and effort issues have diminished his value and Johnson has an unfavorable contract with roughly $38.4 million owed to him over the next two years. The Heat have also made Dion Waiters available, but his trade value isn't great either coming off two injury-riddled seasons. As of right now, it seems likely that all these guys will begin the 2018-19 season in Miami.
Jul 10 - 3:58 PM

Furkan Korkmaz (lower back contusion) is questionable to play Monday vs. the Suns.

Korkmaz had a few nice games against Miami and Memphis, but his minutes have trended towards the lower-teens over the past three games. If he's not able to take the court tonight, Amir Johnson would likely pick up most of his minutes, but that doesn't mean much in fantasy hoops. Korkmaz isn't worth owning in most leagues.
Nov 19 - 2:51 PM

Pau Gasol (foot) and Davis Bertans (concussion) will not suit up for Monday's game against the Pelicans.

This will be the seventh consecutive game out of the lineup for Gasol, and it's unclear when the 38-year-old will be able to return. With both Gasol and Bertans unavailable for tonight's game, LaMarcus Aldridge will get all the run he can handle with Jakob Poeltl seeing limited minutes off the bench.
Nov 19 - 2:24 PM

Rudy Gay (rest) is being listed as questionable for Monday's matchup with the Pelicans.

It's the second night of a back-to-back set, so Gay could certainly take the night off. We likely won't get official confirmation on his status until just prior to tip-off, but if he's out tonight, Derrick White could return to the starting five and LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan will be asked to do more on offense. Stay tuned.
Nov 19 - 2:21 PM

Erik Spoelstra said he expects Dwayne Wade (personal) to return to the team "soon."

The Heat could really use him back with Goran Dragic (knee) ruled out for the week, so maybe he'll be able to return to the court for Tuesday's game against the Nets. He had been playing relatively well prior to stepping away from the team after the birth of his daughter, so he could be worth a speculative add in deep leagues.
Nov 19 - 1:43 PM

Dwight Howard (gluteal soreness) did not participate in Monday's practice.

This isn't the least bit surprising after Howard was forced out of Sunday's game with the back/butt issue, and considering he was struggling to put on socks on Sunday, we'd expect him to miss time moving forward. D12 is 32 years old with a history of back issues, which is very concerning, and the Wizards probably won't rush his return with them sitting on a 5-10 record. Markieff Morris will be the primary beneficiary while Howard is out, and Ian Mahinmi will likely return to the starting five.
Nov 19 - 1:40 PM

Kris Dunn (left MCL sprain) has progressed to doing some straight-ahead running.

Today marks Week-4 of Dunn's 4-6 week timetable and considering he's still not taking contact or going through hard cuts, it's obvious that he'll be closer to the six-week mark; which is what we expected. The Bulls are sitting on a 4-13 record, so they're in no rush to bring Dunn back, and it'll be Ryan Arcidiacono and Shaquille Harrison splitting the majority of his minutes while he's out.
Nov 19 - 1:37 PM

Goran Dragic had his right knee drained on Monday and will sit out the next three games for Miami.

"We knew it wasn’t serious but we knew it was something that needed to be taken care of," said Erik Spoelstra. "Hopefully, we can take care of it and wipe it out right now." It's never a good sign for a 32-year-old to be dealing with knee issues this early in the season, and this is the same knee that cost Dragic time last season. Tyler Johnson and Wayne Ellington will be the primary beneficiaries while he's out, and Josh Richardson will spend more time running the offense.
Nov 19 - 1:24 PM

The Grizzlies have reportedly had "extensive discussions" with Joakim Noah in recent days.

The Grizzlies have been linked to Noah since early-November, and it sounds like they're willing to bring him on on a minimum-level deal. Noah would help bring some depth to Memphis' frontcourt, but we don't anticipate him having any fantasy value, regardless of the name across the front of his jersey.
Nov 19 - 1:17 PM

Trevor Ariza (personal) will return to the starting lineup on Monday vs. the 76ers, sending Mikal Bridges back to the second unit.

Ariza only missed two games, so he shouldn't be dealing with any sort of minutes limit tonight. Bridges will likely see his minutes reduced to the lower-20s while operating in a reserve role, and he's been too inconsistent to trust in most leagues. Ariza owners can go ahead and get him active.
Nov 19 - 1:11 PM

Kyle Lowry (ankle, rest) did not participate during Monday's practice.

Lowry exited Saturday's game with a right ankle issue, but some of that had to do with the game being a massive blowout, and Lowry wasn't sporting a noticeable limp after the game. When Nick Nurse was asked if Lowry sat out Monday's practice as a precaution, Nurse responded, "No, old," so it doesn't sound like he's dealing with anything too serious. For now, we'll consider Lowry probable for Tuesday's game against the Magic.
Nov 19 - 1:08 PM

Lauri Markkanen (elbow) will go through the non-contact portions of Monday's practice.

If he responds well to Monday's workout, the Bulls will start ramping up his workload, so we should get another update on him by Tuesday. He's targeting a December return, so at this point, Markkanen should be stashed in all leagues.
