Marvin Bagley got the start on Thursday and scored 17 points (7-of-17 shooting) with eight rebounds and one assist in 21 minutes against the Jazz.

Bagley has had an up and down preseason and Summer League as he starts to get acclimated to the NBA game. The Kings are committed to playing big and Bagley will get all the time he can handle as soon as he gets his early growing pains out of the way. His transition to the NBA might be rough, but he's a potential double-double guy that you can get late on draft day.
Oct 12 - 12:45 AM

D.J. Augustin, Evan Fournier, Aaron Gordon, Jonathan Isaac and Nikola Vucevic will start against the Bulls on Thursday.

Jonathon Simmons is going to play after an ankle tweak yesterday and Fournier is back after missing a game for personal reasons. Isaac still hasn't hit his stride yet, but coach Steve Clifford has been encouraged and is committed to playing him starters minutes. His upside is sky high, so owners should exercise patience.

Jimmy Butler (strained groin) is questionable for Friday's game vs. the Pacers.

Butler remains day-to-day after an MRI confirmed he didn't suffer any long-term structural damage. Philly's defense sputtered without him on Wednesday, giving up 127 points, but they won't rush him and we've yet to hear about Butler practicing. We'll know more on Friday afternoon. If he can't suit up, expect Furkan Korkmaz to log heavy minutes.

Spencer Dinwiddie and the Nets have agreed on a three-year, $34 million contract extension.

The third year is a player option and it's a solid deal for both sides, with Dinwiddie emerging as a linchpin of coach Kenny Atkinson's rotation. The timing is perfect, too, since Dinwiddie fresh off scoring a career-high 39 points vs. Philly on Wednesday. There's no reason to think he'll stop providing reliable value for roto owners, at least until Caris LeVert (ankle) gets back on the court.
Dec 13 - 5:17 PM

Allen Crabbe (sore right knee) is questionable for Friday's game vs. the Wizards.

Crabbe has had a few minor left knee injuries during his career but this is the first we've heard of his right knee being an issue. We'll know more after Friday's shootaround, but if he can't suit up we'd expect Spencer Dinwiddie and Shabazz Napier to pick up the slack.
Dec 13 - 5:00 PM

Jamal Murray (bruised right shin) is probable for Friday's game vs. the Thunder.

Murray was rested during Wednesday's practice and he's also dealing with a right forearm injury. It sounds like he'll be ready to go vs. OKC, though we'll see how he feels after playing vs. the human battering-ram that is Russell Westbrook.
Dec 13 - 4:26 PM

Gordon Hayward (illness) isn't on the Celtics' injury report for Friday's game.

It looks like Hayward is ready to play after missing the past two games, so owners can tentatively get him into active lineups -- it never hurts to double-check after shootaround. He'd also have more touches coming his way if Jaylen Brown (illness) is ultimately ruled out.
Dec 13 - 4:23 PM

Al Horford (sore left knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game vs. Atlanta.

Aron Baynes and Daniel Theis are the main beneficiaries of Horford's continued absence, while Robert Williams should also get a handful of minutes. He has pain around his kneecap, known colloquially as "runner's knee," and Boston won't rush him back. There's a good chance he'll also sit out Saturday vs. the Pistons, but updates might be sparse with Boston unlikely to hold a shootaround in the second half of a back-to-back.
Dec 13 - 4:15 PM

Jonas Valanciunas (dislocated left thumb) had surgery on Thursday and will miss at least four weeks.

JV will be in a cast for the next month, after which he'll be reevaluated. Owners without IR spots need to evaluate their options, and may need to cut him for the best available free agent in 12-team formats. Serge Ibaka and Greg Monroe should handle the center spot, with OG Anunoby and Kawhi Leonard playing more PF minutes, and Toronto also called up Chris Boucher for added depth. If you're looking for a pickup Monroe is the best bet, but JV's absence leaves a modest 18.8 minutes up for grabs.
Dec 13 - 3:21 PM

Evan Fournier (personal) is expected to replace Jonathon Simmons in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Bulls.

Fournier has officially rejoined the team in Mexico City and is a go tonight, so owners shouldn't hesitate to get him active. The Magic will likely roll out a starting five featuring D.J. Augustin, Fournier, Jonathan Isaac, Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic tonight, and it'll be interesting to see how long Isaac is able to remain a starter.
Dec 13 - 12:11 PM

Allonzo Trier has agreed to a two-year deal with the Knicks.

This has been expected for a while with Trier running out of time on his two-way deal with New York, and Ron Baker will get the ax in a corresponding move. Trier is operating with averages of 11.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.9 turnovers per game this season on 47% shooting, but he's currently out with a hamstring injury.
Dec 13 - 10:06 AM

Victor Oladipo (right knee) logged 29 minutes in his return on Wednesday, scoring 12 points with 10 rebounds and six assists.

Oladipo was on a minute-limit but it obviously wasn't very stringent, and he still racked up a solid stat line, making 5-of-11 field goals with one 3-pointer. Indiana had reeled off three straight wins prior to VO's return and he didn't force the issue too much, with Myles Turner even taking double Oladipo's shot attempts tonight. He admitted afterward that conditioning is still an issue, estimating that he's about 90%, but the key is that "his knee felt fine." He should be ready to rumble vs. Philly on Friday.
