Rudy Gobert was ejected in the first quarter on Thursday for an outburst after getting his second personal foul.

He was called for a foul on the opening tip, picked up his second for a foul on James Harden with three minutes gone by, and Gobert erupted as he knocked some stuff off the scorer's table as he checked out of the game. It's a harsh call from the refs and perhaps Gobert said something that wasn't clear from the broadcast, but this is obviously a brutal blow on a national TV game. He likely won't be suspended, but this stings for his fantasy owners, as well.
Dec 6 - 10:51 PM

Tristan Thompson will not return to Monday's game vs. the Bucks with a left foot injury.

Dec 10 - 9:37 PM

Joel Embiid (migraine) scored 24 points (6-of-16 FGs, 11-of-14 FTs) with eight rebounds, three assists, two steals, two blocks, and one 3-pointer in 33 minutes against the Pistons on Monday.

Embiid rested last Friday against the Pistons and missed Sunday's practice due to a migraine, but was in the lineup and scored 20+ for the 20th time this season. He hadn't reached the 20-point mark in his previous three games, which prompted him to vent his frustrations to the media on Friday. As long as he's out there, Embiid will be one of the most valuable players in fantasy basketball.
Dec 10 - 9:30 PM

Robert Covington (right knee soreness), as expected, will play Monday night against the Warriors.

The expectation earlier Monday was that Covington would be available to go, so this development isn't a surprise. In 11 games with the Timberwolves, the former 76er is averaging 14.6 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 2.7 steals and 2.6 3-pointers in 35.6 minutes per contest.
Dec 10 - 9:21 PM

Nikola Mirotic (sore right ankle) will not return on Monday vs. the Celtics.

For what it's worth, this is the same ankle that bothered him in November. He lasted just seven minutes in this game, finishing with three points on 1-of-5 shots. Julius Randle will continue logging heavy minutes as the starter, while Cheick Diallo and Darius Miller will pick up a few extra minutes as well.
Dec 10 - 9:10 PM

Josh Richardson (shoulder) will play Monday night against the Lakers.

Richardson, who's averaging 19.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.7 3-pointers per game, did not play in Saturday's win over the Clippers due to the shoulder issue. In addition to its starting off-guard, Tyler Johnson (hip), Goran Dragic and Wayne Ellington will also be available for the Heat.
Dec 10 - 9:09 PM

Boban Marjanovic is in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Suns.

Marjanovic has started five games this season, with one being the Clippers' November 28 win over the Suns. The 7'3 center was effective in his 19 minutes on the court, tallying 12 points (3-of-6 FG, 6-of-6 FT), 12 rebounds and one assist.
Dec 10 - 9:04 PM

Mason Plumlee will start vs. the Grizzlies on Monday.

Trey Lyles will head back to the bench. With Paul Millsap (toe) expected to miss 4-6 weeks, coach Malone mentioned that he might alternate between Plumlee and Lyles as the starting PFs on a game-to-game basis. Plumlee has been a stat stuffer this season and can be deployed if you're ok with his awful FT%.
Dec 10 - 8:43 PM

Jamal Murray (shin, forearm) will play on Monday vs. the Grizzlies.

Coach Malone made it sound like Murray has been really struggling with his health, but the PG went through his normal warmup routine and there's no word of any restrictions. We'll let you know how he fares after the game in what should be a tough matchup.
Dec 10 - 8:27 PM

According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, the Rockets "have expressed exploratory interest in acquiring JR Smith."

Smith is currently out indefinitely with the Cavaliers as they search for a new home for the SG. The 33-year-old shot just 30.8% from 3-point range this season and his best days are well behind him, so it's strange that Houston would want to pick up the last year of his deal valued at over $14M.
Dec 10 - 8:22 PM

Mike Conley (sprained finger, right hand) is available to play Monday vs. Denver.

Earlier Monday Conley said that he's still dealing with some discomfort as a result of the injury, but it appears as if it won't keep him on the sideline. Keep an eye on Conley's shooting numbers, as he shot a combined 6-of-24 from the field in his last two games.
Dec 10 - 8:19 PM

Otto Porter will not return on Monday vs. the Pacers with a right knee contusion.

The Wizards can't catch a break. There's no word on the severity, but Porter was ruled out pretty quickly after heading to the back. Tomas Satoransky is running the point for John Wall (heel), so Kelly Oubre and Jeff Green will pick up most of the slack if Porter misses additional time. After tonight, Washington's next game is on Wednesday vs. Boston.
