LaMarcus Aldridge went berserk during a 154-147 double-overtime win over the Thunder on Thursday, scoring a career-high 56 points with nine rebounds, four assists, four blocks and five turnovers in 49 minutes.

Not bad on the second night of a back-to-back set. When the buzzer sounded, Aldridge hunted down the game ball because he wanted to keep his first 50-point ball. Aldridge was 20-of-33 from the field and made all 16 free throws, and the four blocks are a rarity for LMA as a season high. In fact, his line has never been done before thanks to the dimes and blocks. Plus, he didn't have any treys to become the first player with 56-plus points without any treys since Shaquille O'Neal in 2000. After this career night, Aldridge could be getting Saturday off, and he would have earned it.

Will Barton (personal) is back in the lineup on Saturday against the Cavaliers.

Barton missed the team's last game, but returned to the team and participated in Saturday morning's shootaround. Both Barton and Gary Harris will see their minutes limited to the 18-20 range.

Bismack Biyombo owned the paint in 27 minutes against the Suns on Saturday, scoring 11 points with 13 rebounds, three assists and five blocks.

After a mega dud on Thursday with just nine minutes, the matchup against the Suns was just what the doctor order. He made Deandre Ayton look like he forgot how big he was, and he picked up five offensive boards, as well. This is going to be a headache for fantasy owners and Cody Zeller should be back soon, so Biyombo is more of a 14-team guy. He is an option to stream on Sunday against the Pacers in shallower leagues, too.
Jan 19 - 8:15 PM

Devin Booker scored a game-high 32 points against the Hornets on Saturday during a 135-115 loss, adding two rebounds, 11 assists, no turnovers and two 3-pointers in 38 minutes.

He scored 22 points, but he did not get much help from his backcourt mates. Booker was closing at the point for most of the fourth, and coach Igor Kokoskov kept him in until there were only three minutes left despite the blowout. The Suns also play on Sunday against the Wolves, so maybe a glass-half-full thought is that he has to be healthy for the Suns to leave him in there that long. He'll likely have an extra edge against his Kentucky buddy Karl-Anthony Towns on Sunday.
Jan 19 - 8:09 PM

JaMychal Green is starting against the Raptors on Saturday.

Marc Gasol (back) is not playing, so Green will slot into the power forward spot with Jaren Jackson Jr. sliding to center. Green should be owned in standard leagues at this point.
Jan 19 - 7:22 PM

Robin Lopez is starting over Bobby Portis against the Heat on Saturday.

It could be a matchup move against Hassan Whiteside, or maybe the Bulls are trying to showcase him. Lopez should have some short-term value in fantasy before they can unload him in a trade, so he's worth a look if you need a center in a pinch.

Deandre Ayton (left ankle sprain) will not return on Saturday against the Hornets.

It didn't look like he had a bad injury or anything, and the Suns are getting blown out anyway. Ayton had one of his worst games of the year, and chances are his coach will say some things about his lack of energy in the paint. Hopefully, this is just a one-time thing for the rookie, and also Richaun Holmes (foot) isn't returning. Perhaps the back-to-back is a factor here, too. If they're both out, Quincy Acy would be looking at plenty of minutes as a low-end speculative add in deep leagues.
Jan 19 - 7:14 PM

Richaun Holmes (left foot sprain) will not return to Saturday's game against the Hornets.

Both Holmes and Deandre Ayton were ruled out early in the fourth quarter of lopsided game. He went for four points and four rebounds in 14 minutes before exiting. It didn't appear that Holmes hurt himself at all, so this could just be precautionary with the Suns on the front end of a back-to-back set. We'll consider Holmes questionable for Sunday's game against the Wolves.
Jan 19 - 7:12 PM

Paul George provided a signature moment with an and-one 3-pointer with 5.1 seconds left to beat the 76ers 117-115 on Saturday, finishing with 31 points, six rebounds, five assists, three steals and four 3-pointers in 40 minutes.

He made all 11 free throws and absolutely carried the Thunder late for one of their biggest wins of the season. OKC also owns Philly with their 19th straight win for the longest active streak against any opponent this season. George continues stuffing the stat sheet this month, averaging 27.9 points, 7.2 boards, 3.4 dimes, 2.4 steals and 3.8 treys on a 42/39/83 shooting line. He is in the top five for the MVP race.
Jan 19 - 7:00 PM

Ish Smith (right adductor tightness) will not play against the Kings on Saturday.

Smith missed a bunch of time due to a groin issue earlier this season, so this isn't great news. Luke Kennard, Bruce Brown, Langston Galloway, and Jose Calderon will see more time in Smith's absence.
Jan 19 - 6:59 PM

Marc Gasol (upper back soreness) will not play on Saturday against the Raptors.

It's a back-to-back set and the Grizzlies can't get wins these days, so this is not much of a surprise. Considering he talked with ownership this week, the likelihood he gets traded may have increased as the Grizzlies make some personnel changes. With him and Joakim Noah out, Jaren Jackson Jr. and JaMychal Green will get all they can eat while Ivan Rabb and Omri Casspi pick up more run, too.
Jan 19 - 6:56 PM

Wesley Matthews (right wrist sprain) will start against the Pacers on Saturday.

Matthews was questionable entering the game, but will indeed suit up. He'll continue to play his usual role as the team's starting shooting guard. Deploy him as you normally would.
