ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that "at least" three NFL teams are considering a trade for Kevin Kolb.

The 49ers, Cardinals, Titans, and Redskins are among the most likely suitors for Kolb, and Schefter confirms that "every NFC West team except St. Louis" should be in the mix. If a CBA is struck before the draft, it sounds like the Eagles are going to have more than enough suitors to drive up Kolb's price tag. It's very conceivable that they could end up with a top-ten pick.

Pierre Thomas expects his pass-game role to expand this season.

"I know my role is going to change a whole lot this year," he said. "I'm going to do more pass protection and route running." On paper, it makes sense as Darren Sproles and Lance Moore, who combined for 108 catches last year, are both gone. But Thomas already caught 77 balls last season, Khiry Robinson is underrated in the pass game and Brandin Cooks can do Sprolesian things. In reality, it's hard to see Thomas' box-score production making a significant leap, leaving him as a borderline RB2/3 in PPR formats. He'll turn 30 in December and averaged a career-low 6.7 yards per reception last year.

Colts GM Ryan Grigson says Trent Richardson "needs to answer the bell" and be "accountable."

Richardson gained eight yards on his first preseason carry, and has 26 yards on his last 13. "Trent, he needs to answer the bell and do his job to the best of his ability," said Grigson. "We’re all accountable here. ... He’s such a hard runner, we know how tough he is, but he’s got to produce just like all these guys do on this final 53." If this was an outward expression of disappointment from Grigson, it'd be a first from the Colts' organization, which has propped up T-Rich at every opportunity since trading for him last September. Richardson's ADP has finally begun to dip. He's going late in the fifth round of standard drafts.

Andre Johnson is "showing no signs of rust" after missing a chunk of Texans camp with a hamstring injury.

Johnson reportedly showed up "all over the field" during Wednesday's Texans-Broncos joint practice and made one "incredible" catch in the back of the end zone. "He's a big part of what we're doing here," coach Bill O'Brien said. The No. 12 overall fantasy receiver a year ago, Johnson's ADP has dropped into the late fourth round. His QBs were Matt Schaub and Case Keenum in 2013.

Le'Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount were arrested for possession of marijuana Wednesday, while Bell was also booked for DUI.

Bell and Blount allegedly had 20 grams of pot and were accompanied by a female, who was in possession of two grams. All three were said to be "cooperative," and admitted to the crimes. While this obviously isn't good news, it may have no effect on Bell or Blount's status for the 2014 season. Bell had zero off-field concerns coming out of Michigan State. Blount has a shaky track record. Both will be in line for potential suspensions once the case is resolved.

CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco reports the 49ers are "not interested" in trading holdout RG Alex Boone.

Per Maiocco, interested teams have inquired about Boone. The 49ers are holding firm. Either they're willing to cave in to Boone's demands soon, or they're simply willing to continue to not pay Boone as he sits at home. Boone doesn't count against the 90-man roster and won't for as long as he holds out. San Francisco will continue to trot out Joe Looney at right guard in the meantime.

Bengals signed WLB Vontaze Burfict to a new four-year, $20 million contract through 2017.

Burfict was entering the final year of his three-year rookie deal, but was under team control through 2015. He gets a total of $7.6 million this season and is now one of the richest 4-3 outside 'backers in the league at $5 million annually. An undrafted gem out of Arizona State in 2012, Burfict has become a three-down difference maker for the Bengals. He's above-average, and near elite, both against the run and in coverage. Burfict is a shoo-in LB1 in IDP formats.

Rams waived/injured RB Isaiah Pead (torn ACL).

Pead tore his ACL while returning the opening kickoff last weekend against the Packers. If he clears waivers, he'll go to the Rams' injured reserve list. He's obviously out for the season, but the former second-round pick has two years left on his rookie contract. A claiming team would have him for 2015. For Pead's sake, it might be best to get claimed and get a fresh start in a new city.

Coach Mike Smith said he fully expects Steven Jackson (hamstring) to be ready for Week 1.

Jackson hasn't done much since injuring his hammy July 29. But Smith said there's a chance Jackson will play a few snaps in the preseason finale. Jackson doesn't necessarily need any exhibition work, but we'd feel more comfortable if he actually got on the field and took some handoffs. His ADP has been on the decline for weeks now. Jackson is currently going at the back of the seventh round in fantasy drafts. There's value there, but SJ39 is 31 years old and there's a real possibility his body has or will let him down permanently.

Chris Polk revealed he suffered a Grade 2 partial tear of his hamstring on the second day of Eagles camp.

He obviously hasn't practiced since, and won't play in Philly's regular season dress rehearsal. Polk admitted to feeling a "pop" in the hamstring, and plans to practice next week even if he's not fully recovered. The Eagles' trade for Kenjon Barner shows they're well aware their backfield is short on depth. Darren Sproles isn't really a ball-carrying option anymore. Michael Tucker and UDFA Henry Josey are next on the running back depth chart.

Johnny Manziel is struggling -- and continues to struggle -- with the Browns' playbook.

We all got a glimpse of it when Manziel was asked by Jon Gruden in a sit-down interview during Monday night's telecast to spit out a play from OC Kyle Shanahan's playbook. He stumbled over his words before eventually getting it out. It's to be expected from a rookie like Manziel, who is coming from a spread offense with simple, one-, two-, or three-word plays. Receiver Andrew Hawkins admitted the players in the huddle "are still helping him a little bit." Manziel can focus on the playbook as Brian Hoyer's backup. It's going to take time.

Michael Crabtree admitted he wasn't healthy or himself in the eight games he played last season after returning from a torn Achilles'.

"I was fast enough to be on the field," Crabtree said. "But I wasn't me." Crabtree revealed last week that his weight ballooned up to 230 pounds last season. He's back in shape, and says he "can't wait to get out there" this year. Crabtree is a big-time blow-up candidate as the 49ers' clear No. 1 receiver and Colin Kaepernick's go-to guy. There's value in his late-fourth-round ADP.
