ESPN reports Jets RE Muhammad Wilkerson was treated for "minor injuries" after his car flipped in an early Saturday morning accident.

Wilkerson was charged with careless driving and failure to maintain his lane after striking another car at 4:29AM. The police report didn't indicate Wilkerson had been drinking. Even "minor injuries" could have Wilkerson questionable for the beginning of camp, though the Jets say he'll be ready. Coach Rex Ryan and DC Mike Pettine have both gone out of their way to praise Wilkerson this offseason, with the latter saying he was the team's second most impressive defender in OTAs after only Darrelle Revis.

Kelvin Benjamin (knee) did not practice Wednesday.

Benjamin battled a knee issue earlier this season but hadn't been on the injury report for the past two games. He reportedly had to leave practice early Wednesday, which is a small concern right now. If for some reason Benjamin would have to sit against the Bears, Devin Funchess would be a volume WR2.
Oct 18 - 2:47 PM

Demaryius Thomas (leg) is not practicing Wednesday.

He's dealing with some sort of bruise. It was likely more of a rest day for Thomas, who is fully expected to play Sunday against the Chargers. With no Emmanuel Sanders (ankle), Thomas should dominate targets.
Oct 18 - 2:32 PM

Stefon Diggs (groin) remained sidelined at Wednesday's practice.

Diggs didn't practice at all last week before being inactive and is off on the wrong foot for Week 7. In his absence, Laquon Treadwell acted as the No. 2 receiver, while the offense ran through Adam Thielen and Jerick McKinnon.

RotoGrinders.com Daily Slant: Thielen took advantage of his opportunity last weekend, coming down with 9 receptions for 97 yards. He may have a better matchup than it appears on paper against the Ravens this weekend as he'll battle Ladarius Webb in the slot. When inside, Webb is allowing the most yards per cover snap (2.11, per PFF) and a 68% catch rate. As a unit, Baltimore is holding passers to the 2nd-lowest completion percentage (53.6%), 4th-lowest rating (71.1), and 5th-fewest yards per game (190). With the rest of the secondary playing so well, QB Case Keenum will likely need to pepper Thielen with targets all game, providing him some potentially sneaky GPP appeal.
Oct 18 - 2:21 PM

DeVante Parker (ankle) is not practicing Wednesday.

Coach Adam Gase said earlier Wednesday that Parker remains day to day. We're going to need to see Parker out there Thursday or Friday if he's going to play Sunday against the Jets. For now, consider Parker questionable.
Oct 18 - 1:24 PM

Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) is practicing Wednesday.

Maclin missed Week 6 with the injury, but is on track to play Sunday against the Vikings if he avoids setbacks. Maclin runs over 60% of his snaps out of the slot and could avoid shutdown CB Xavier Rhodes much of the game.
Oct 18 - 1:12 PM

Mohamed Sanu (hamstring) returned to practice Wednesday.

Sanu sat out through the Week 5 bye and missed last Sunday's loss to the Dolphins. This puts him on track to return for Week 7 against the Patriots in a Super Bowl rematch. If Sanu is back, it makes Taylor Gabriel mostly unusable.
Oct 18 - 12:44 PM

Jameis Winston (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

As expected. Winston is doing very little on Wednesday, with the Bucs giving him some rest off an AC sprain in his throwing shoulder, but is expected to ramp things up Thursday or Friday to see if he can play in Buffalo. If Winston can't play, it'll again be Ryan Fitzpatrick under center against his former team.
Oct 18 - 12:40 PM

Sterling Shepard (ankle) returned to practice Wednesday.

Shepard was officially limited, but it's a step in the right direction after he sat out all last week and didn't play in the big underdog win over the Broncos Sunday night. Shepard, when he returns, will slide in as the unquestioned No. 1 receiver. He needs to be owned in all formats as a volume WR3.
Oct 18 - 12:37 PM

Bennie Fowler is expected to slide in as the Broncos' No. 2 receiver with Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) out for Week 7 against the Chargers.

Fowler caught a pair of touchdowns in a fluky Week 1 against the Chargers but has been pretty nonexistent since then despite being the Broncos' No. 3 receiver. Fowler will likely move into the slot in three-wide sets when Jordan Taylor enters the game. At 6'1/212, Fowler has good size and saw eight targets last week, turning them into a 3-21 line. He's on the WR3/4 map for Week 7.
Oct 18 - 12:24 PM

Redskins first-round DT Jonathan Allen (foot) will miss the remainder of the season.

Allen suffered a Lisfranc injury in the Week 6 win over the Niners. The No. 17 overall pick in the draft, Allen played 159 snaps through five games, receiving strong marks from Pro Football Focus for both his run defense and pass rush. It's a big blow to the rotation on the interior of the Redskins' line, which also includes Matt Ioannidis, Ziggy Hood, Terrell McClain, and Stacy McGee.

Ravens DT Brandon Williams (foot) returned to practice Wednesday.

This is huge news for the Ravens' run defense. Over the last four games without Williams, the Ravens have been shredded on the ground to the tune of 169.5 yards per game. In the two games Williams played, Baltimore allowed 85 yards per game rushing. Williams' return would be a downgrade to Jerick McKinnon's matchup in Week 7. It's a situation to monitor.
