Coach Mike Mularkey said he doesn't think the knee injury Rashad Jennings sustained Sunday is "serious."

Although it doesn't sound like any kind of tear, Jennings' time as the starter may already be done. He did not play in the second half or overtime, leaving Maurice Jones-Drew to carry the load. Mularkey was impressed by MJD's performance. "I was proud with how he picked up the system," he said. "I don't remember anything blatant he missed, and I thought he ran the ball extremely well." Even if Jennings is available in Week 2, he's looking like a handcuff to Jones-Drew.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Rex Burkhead has avoided an ACL tear and serious knee injury.

It sounds like Burkhead and the Patriots have caught another break this Sunday. Per Schefter, Burkhead could miss some time, but it doesn't seem to be something that will keep Burkhead out for an extended period. Burkhead should be okay to return for a playoff run for the 11-3 Patriots. In the meantime, Dion Lewis and James White will handle backfield duties sans Burkhead.

Panthers owner Jerry Richardson has announced he is selling the team after allegations of misconduct surfaced against him on Friday.

The Panthers will be put on the block at the end of the season. In a five-paragraph statement announcing the move, Richardson made no mention of the allegations against him, which include wide-ranging sexual misconduct and the use of a racial slur against a former Panthers scout. Richardson, 81, has owned the Panthers since their founding, and is the only current owner to have actually played in the NFL. It's unclear how voluntary Richardson's decision is. It's quite possible things would have unfolded similarly to the Donald Sterling Clippers fiasco in the NBA had Richardson not agreed to give up the team.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Antonio Brown has a "partially torn calf muscle."

According to Schefter, Brown is unlikely to play in Week 16, but he is expected back for the postseason. The news obviously does not help owners hoping to use Brown in the fantasy Super Bowl, but it is great news for the Steelers considering how serious the injury looked on the field. With Brown sidelined, both Martavis Bryant and JuJu Smith-Schuster will be worth using against the Texans on Christmas Day.
Dec 17 - 7:47 PM

Marquise Goodwin caught 10-of-13 passes for 114 yards in the 49ers' Week 15 win over the Titans.

The 100-yard game, just the third of Goodwin's career, was his second straight. He's averaging 106 yards in three games with Jimmy Garoppolo at quarterback. Formerly pegged as a streak route specialist, the former Olympian has been a more versatile player in San Francisco. He's cleared 68 yards in six straight games. Great football, but Goodwin has the toughest of 2017 tests in Jalen Ramsey and the Jaguars next week.
Dec 17 - 7:43 PM

Robert Woods caught 6-of-7 targets for 45 yards and one touchdown in the Rams' 42-7, Week 15 win over the Seahawks.

Woods led all Rams' pass catchers across the board on a day Jared Goff attempted just 21 passes and threw for 120 yards in the easy win. Woods missed the previous three games with a shoulder issue but picked up right where he left off before the injury. Woods' touchdown was a wide-open one-yard hookup on a quick snap at the line. Woods will be a WR2 Week 16 at Tennessee.
Dec 17 - 7:42 PM

Le'Veon Bell rushed 24 times for 117 yards and a touchdown while catching 5-of-6 passes for 48 yards in the Steelers' Week 15 loss to the Patriots.

Bell remains good at football. With Antonio Brown leaving in the second quarter, Bell put the team on his back with run after clock-killing run. He finished the first half with 94 total yards including 47 on a drive which gave Pittsburgh the lead just before the break, and he rushed for another 55 in the third quarter including a three-yard score. Unfortunately, the Steelers gave the win away late, but Bell did all he could. With Brown likely out until the postseason, Bell should be the offensive focal point next week against the Texans.
Dec 17 - 7:36 PM

Jimmy Garoppolo completed 31-of-43 passes for 381 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers' 25-23, Week 15 win over the Titans.

The 300-yard performance was Garoppolo's second straight. He has at least 290 in all three of his starts with the 49ers. This, with Marquise Goodwin as his No. 1 receiver. Per the CBS broadcast booth, he became the first 49ers quarterback since Jeff Garcia in 2000 to have back-to-back 300-yard games. Unreal. Garoppolo is playing genuinely elite football. He gets the ball out blindingly fast, and is not afraid to target tight windows or attempt unorthodox passes. He's playing with confidence that belies his relative lack of regular season experience. Garoppolo has the ultimate Week 16 test in the Jaguars.
Dec 17 - 7:35 PM

Russell Wilson completed just 14-of-30 passes for 142 yards and one touchdown in the Seahawks' 42-7, Week 15 loss to the Rams.

Wilson rushed for 39 yards on five attempts, fumbled twice (losing one), took a safety on an intentional grounding call, and took seven sacks in the embarrassing home defeat. The Seahawks were getting annihilated from the jump, going into the half in a 34-0 hole. Wilson's lone touchdown pass was a garbage-time 26-yard hookup with Luke Willson with Seattle down by 40. Wilson's brutal game comes at an awful time for fantasy owners in semifinals week. The Seahawks will travel to Dallas in Week 16 with the Cowboys welcoming back Ezekiel Elliott.
Dec 17 - 7:30 PM

Ben Roethlisberger completed 22-of-30 passes for 281 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception in the Steelers' Week 15 loss to the Patriots.

Ben was stellar in the first half of this one, completing 15-of-19 passes for 182 yards and two scores including a great touch throw to Eli Rogers. Unfortunately, that good work was undone with one bad play at the end of the game. Down by three with a minute left, Ben found JuJu Smith-Schuster for a 69-yard gain to set up a scoring opportunity and appeared to win the game with a 10-yard touchdown to Jesse James. That pass was ruled incomplete, however, and Ben forced the ball into heavy coverage on an ill-advised fake spike attempt two plays later. The pass was tipped into the air and intercepted. This loss has to be painful, but losing Antonio Brown to what looked like a serious injury is worse, although he reportedly will return for the playoffs. Roethlisberger’s upside takes a big hit with Brown out, but he will remain a locked-in QB1 against a pitiful Texans defense on Christmas Day.
Dec 17 - 7:28 PM

Rob Gronkowski hauled in 9-of-13 targets for 168 yards in the Patriots' Week 15 win over the Steelers.

After a quiet first half, Gronkowski was a one-man wrecking crew following the break, catching seven passes for 135 yards. He started out the half with a great over the shoulder catch, and he easily converted a fourth-down with a 10-yard grab later on the same drive. He was able to get open at will down the middle of the field in the fourth quarter, and he made chunk play after chunk play with the game on the line including a shoe-string catch to set up the go-ahead touchdown with less than a minute left -- as if out of a storybook, he had 69 yards on that drive. He added a two-point conversion after the score to give the Patriots what ended up being an extremely important three-point lead. This was a vintage performance from Gronk, and the Steelers simply could not cover him. He will remain the overall TE1 next week against the Bills.
Dec 17 - 7:21 PM

Todd Gurley rushed 21 times for 152 yards and three touchdowns in the Rams' Week 15 win over the Seahawks, adding three catches for 28 yards and a fourth touchdown on three targets.

He rushed for 144 yards and all three ground scores in the first half. The first two were one-yard plunges, while the third came with less than a minute left in the half on 3rd-and-20 from 57 yards away when the Rams were simply trying to burn the clock out and go to the locker room. Seattle offered zero resistance Sunday, getting straight demolished by a 34-0 halftime score. Gurley was stiff-arming defenders and doing whatever he wanted in the rout. He then added a 14-yard touchdown catch early in the third quarter and didn't play another down the final 20-25 minutes of game time. Gurley's 17 touchdowns this season leads the league, and he's put himself on the MVP radar. Matchup-proof, Gurley gets the Titans next in Week 16.
