Cardinals re-signed RB Alfonso Smith.

Beat writer Kent Somers says Smith's signing "is perhaps an indication that [Beanie] Wells won't be able to play on Sunday, or maybe longer." Wells is dealing with turf toe. Smith will slide in behind Ryan Williams, LaRod Stephens-Howling and William Powell if Beanie is indeed sidelined.

Seahawks MLB Bobby Wagner (hamstring) is active for Week 15 against the Rams.

He was the only questionable player ahead of this big NFC West bout. Inactive for the Seahawks are LB K.J. Wright (concussion), CB Mike Tyson, C Joey Hunt, RB Thomas Rawls, DT Nazair Jones, DT Garrison Smith, and WR David Moore.

Giants SS Landon Collins is done for the day in Week 15 after aggravating his ankle injury.

Collins was trying to play through a high ankle sprain. He aggravated the injury in the second quarter and won't see game action for the rest of Sunday.

Marqise Lee went to the locker room in the first quarter of Sunday's Week 15 game against the Texans with an ankle injury.

The injury appeared serious on the field, and Lee was eventually carried to the locker room by trainers. We would be surprised if Lee returned to the game.

Sports Illustrated reports Panthers owner Jerry Richardson has made "confidential payouts" for sexual harassment and "use of a racial slur."

Per reporters L. Jon Wertheim and Viv Bernstein, Richardson has paid out "at least four significant settlements" in exchange for "what amounted to a vow of silence." In addition to the sexual misconduct, Richardson is accused of "(directing) a racial slur at an African-American scout for the Panthers." They are extremely serious charges. The NFL announced Sunday morning it was taking over the Panthers' investigation of its owner.

Austin Ekeler's season is over due to a broken hand.

Ekeler suffered the injury on his fourth-quarter fumble. Branden Oliver will close out the season as the Chargers' No. 2 back behind Melvin Gordon.
Dec 17 - 1:07 PM

Packers coach Mike McCarthy said before Sunday's game in Carolina that he's "cutting" Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) "loose" against the Panthers.

"I'm cutting him loose," was McCarthy's exact quote. Despite Rodgers' injury layoff, it's no surprise because the Packers have averaged nearly eight more dropbacks per game with Rodgers starting as opposed to Brett Hundley, and the best way to attack the Panthers' defense is via the pass. Rodgers should be fired up as a top-eight fantasy quarterback play in all formats in his first game back.

Doctors will determine whether Andrew Luck (I.R., shoulder) needs another surgery after he resumes throwing.

The surgery would occur in January, though Luck is optimistic it won't be necessary. Luck will return to the United States this week after spending the last month rehabbing in Europe. He experienced pain the last time he threw and if that pain returns, Luck would likely undergo a tenodesis procedure to relocate his biceps tendon. Luck was hoping to be ready for the start of next season but another surgery would obviously complicate things.

Kyle Rudolph (ankle) is active for Week 15 against the Bengals.

Rudolph was previously listed as doubtful after sitting out practice but was upgraded to questionable on Saturday. He draws a good matchup against the Bengals banged-up defense and is worth starting in Week 15.
Dec 17 - 12:01 PM

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Chris Hogan (shoulder, questionable) is not expected to play Week 15 against the Steelers.

It is a surprise after Hogan played almost every snap in his return and got in three limited practices this week. It is possible he suffered a setback, but it is also possible the Patriots are just making sure he is 100 percent for the playoffs. With Hogan out, Danny Amendola gets a small boost. Kenny Britt will also be active, but he is not worth a look in fantasy leagues.
Dec 17 - 11:48 AM

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports new Patriots WR Kenny Britt is expected to be active Week 15 against the Steelers.

With Chris Hogan (shoulder) not expected to play, Britt will be active less than a week after signing with New England. After showing little effort in Cleveland, Britt turning around his season in New England would be a very Patriots outcome. Still, he is not worth a look in fantasy this week.
Dec 17 - 11:46 AM

Redskins declared LT Trent Williams, LB Zach Brown, WR Robert Davis, OG Kyle Kalis, DE Terrell McClain, S Montae Nicholson and C Demetrius Rhaney inactive for Week 15 against the Cardinals.

Williams has been hampered by a knee injury for much of the year and will likely undergo surgery after the season. Now that they're out of playoff contention, the Redskins may decide to go ahead and shut Williams down. Ryan Anderson (ankle), Ryan Grant (ankle), Maurice Harris (concussion), Morgan Moses (ankle) and Chase Roullier (hand) are all active for Week 15.
