Chiefs RB Peyton Hillis (ankle) and DE Glenn Dorsey (calf) have been ruled out for Week 6 at Tampa.

Hillis is expected to return after the Chiefs' Week 7 bye, but his role will be decreased with Jamaal Charles playing as well as any back in the league. Allen Bailey filled in for Dorsey at right end last week.

Greg Olsen will report to Panthers training camp on time Tuesday.

Olsen considered a holdout due to dissatisfaction with his contract, but the Panthers are doling out money now that Marty Hurney has replaced Dave Gettleman as GM. Their first order of business was extending RG Trai Turner, and Olsen is likely now a priority. It's believed so-far-failed contract talks with Olsen and WLB Thomas Davis were at the root of Gettleman's ouster.

Saints re-signed exclusive rights free agent WR Willie Snead to a one-year, $615,000 contract.

As an exclusive rights free agent, Snead essentially had no real rights, and was forced to sign his minimum-salary contract in continued hopes the Saints will make a longer-term commitment in the future. Not yet 25 years old, Snead remains an underrated asset in Dynasty leagues. He has posted consecutive top-35 PPR receiver finishes and should see a potentially significant uptick in volume this year with Brandin Cooks gone to New England.

Broncos signed GM John Elway to a five-year extension through 2021.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the deal will make Elway the NFL's highest-paid general manager. The head of Denver's football operations since 2011, Elway has overseen five straight winning records amid heavy coaching and quarterback turnover, going from Tim Tebow to Peyton Manning and Trevor Siemian, as well as John Fox to Gary Kubiak and now Vance Joseph. Elway's drafts and free agent moves had spectacular results to begin his tenure, although his recent drafts haven't been quite as strong. Nevertheless, Elway is extremely respected in Denver and throughout the Broncos' organization. He's more than earned a multi-year rope while the Broncos determine if 2016 first-round QB Paxton Lynch can become a franchise solution.

Eagles signed TE Adam Zaruba.

Listed at 6-foot-4, 277, Zaruba is transitioning from Canadian rugby to big-league football as an obvious project. The 26-year-old from Vancouver worked out for the Eagles on Sunday and was signed to a non-guaranteed three-year deal the next day. Zaruba is entering a deep Philly tight end depth chart, where the Eagles have Brent Celek and Trey Burton backing up Zach Ertz.

Cole Beasley (hamstring) has been cleared for Cowboys training camp.

Beasley played through hamstring tendinitis in the second half of last season and missed all spring workouts, but the Cowboys never expressed significant concern with his health. He's now all systems go. Entering his age-28 season, Beasley was quick to establish a chain-moving rapport with Dak Prescott in 2016, drawing career highs in targets (98) and receptions (75).

Free agent CB Brandon Flowers will meet with the Cardinals on Wednesday.

ESPN's Adam Schefter adds Flowers has "also been talking with the Patriots." Once among the league's most underrated corners, Flowers flamed out in San Diego while battling a multitude of concussions. He drew some interest from the Steelers in March, but nothing came of it. Flowers would compete for snaps opposite Patrick Peterson in Arizona. He would likely man slot corner between Stephon Gilmore and Malcolm Butler in Foxboro.

Raiders first-round CB Gareon Conley remains under investigation in an April rape case.

"They would still classify it as being under investigation," a Cleveland police spokesman said. "No official charges have been filed. … They haven’t ruled it closed. The official statement is it still remains under investigation." Conley hasn't met with police since May 1. Both Conley and the Raiders have insisted he's innocent, though they expected the case to be wrapped up by now. Conley has yet to sign his rookie contract as he remains in legal limbo.

The Indianapolis Star expects Andrew Luck (shoulder surgery) to miss the entire preseason, but to be ready for Week 1.

Luck is beginning camp on the active/PUP list, but has also finally begun a throwing program. The Colts have been careful to avoid placing a timeline on Luck's return, but their actions suggest a confidence he will be ready for Week 1. The Colts did not address backup quarterback this offseason. There could be some harrowing summer moments, but Luck should be ready.

Unsigned exclusive rights free agent Willie Snead will report to Saints camp on Thursday.

"No holdout," Snead said in a text. "I'll be on the practice field." Snead has little recourse but to sign his $615,000 tender, but has been holding out hope for a long-term deal. The Saints would certainly engender some goodwill by working out a compromise, but have little to fear, as Snead will be a restricted free agent next offseason. The Saints hold all the cards, but have hinted they might be willing to play ball.

Free agent LB Zachary Orr (neck) is visiting the Texans on Monday.

After retiring because of a neck condition in January, Orr reversed course and decided to continue his career. He has already met with the Colts, Jets, and Lions, but all three decided to pass. Orr could have trouble gaining clearance from team medical staffs.
Jul 24 - 1:20 PM

Vikings placed RB Latavius Murray (ankle) on the active/PUP list.

LB Shaan Washington (leg) will join him on the PUP. All it means is Murray is not ready to practice right now, but he can be removed from the list at any time. On Sunday, Murray said his "health is really good," suggesting he will be able to practice sooner rather than later. Murray will compete for a role behind second-rounder Dalvin Cook when healthy.
