Isaac Redman will get the start versus the Chiefs on Monday night.

Redman broke the news to Steelers beat writer Mark Kaboly. This has been the feeling all week after Redman ran for 147 yards and a touchdown against the Giants last week. Jonathan Dwyer will be the backup while Rashard Mendenhall rests his Achilles' one more week. Rotoworld's Chris Wesseling ranks Redman as the No. 23 running back for Week 10, but that could go up a few ticks on Sunday morning with Saturday's confirmation.

Coach Todd Bowles said Bryce Petty will start the Jets' final four games.

Owners of Ryan Fitzpatrick can release him. Petty will get starts at the 49ers, vs. the Dolphins, at the Patriots, and vs. the Bills to close out the year. At 3-9, it makes sense for the Jets to get a look at Petty to see if they have anything here. By the looks of his first few NFL appearances, chances are slim. He has a big arm, but struggles with accuracy. Petty's insertion to the lineup is a big downgrade to Brandon Marshall, but might give Robby Anderson a slight boost.
Dec 6 - 12:01 AM

In relief of a benched Ryan Fitzpatrick, Bryce Petty completed just 11-of-25 passes for 135 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions in the Jets' 41-10, Week 13 loss to the Colts on Monday night.

Fitzpatrick was benched after completing 5-of-12 passes for 81 yards and an interception in the first half. Petty took over on the first possession of the third quarter with the Jets getting railroaded 31-3. Petty's numbers look worse than they could have been, as he was hurt badly by drops, but he still wasn't very good. His touchdown was a 40-yarder to Robby Anderson where the defensive back fell down on the play. And one of Petty's interceptions was a deep-ball heave down the middle. He was taking shots with the Jets getting stomped, which was nice to see. At 3-9, the Jets will probably give the rest of the starts to Petty. They travel to San Francisco next Sunday.
Dec 5 - 11:29 PM

Dwayne Allen caught 4-of-4 targets for 72 yards and three touchdowns in the Colts' Week 13 win over the Jets on Monday night.

Talk about efficiency. Allen entered Monday night with two touchdowns through 12 weeks. He and Dennis Pitta were the kings of tight ends in Week 13, combining for five touchdowns after they'd mustered two combined on the year. Allen's first two touchdowns against the Jets were both wide-open, walk-in scores, the first coming from seven yards out and the second from 21 yards away. His third score was a 23-yarder with the defender draped all over Allen in the end zone. He'll be tough to trust as more than a TE2 next week against the Colts, but tight end is wholly unpredictable.
Dec 5 - 11:22 PM

T.Y. Hilton caught 9-of-10 targets for 146 yards in the Colts' Week 13 win over the Jets.

After suffering a back injury in the Thanksgiving game against the Steelers, Hilton seemed back to normal in this one. He simply did whatever he wanted with the Jets' defensive backs giving him big cushions at the line of scrimmage, probably as a way not to get beat deep. Hilton didn't do much damage on deep balls, but he turned short-to-medium catches into chink yards with his after-catch ability. The only target he didn't catch was a bad drop. Hilton and the Colts head back to their home dome next week against the Texans where Hilton will be a locked-in WR1.
Dec 5 - 11:19 PM

Andrew Luck completed 22-of-28 passes for 278 yards and four touchdowns in the Colts' Week 13 win over the Jets on Monday night.

With the Colts stomping the Jets 41-10 with about 11 minutes left in the fourth quarter, coach Chuck Pagano called off the dogs and replaced Luck with Scott Tolzien. It was quite the return from a Week 11 concussion for Luck after he missed the Thanksgiving night game. Luck found Dwayne Allen for wide-open seven- and 21-yard touchdown passes on the Colts' first two possessions. The two later hooked up for a third score from 23 yards out before halftime. That time, the Jets actually covered Allen, but he made a great catch. Luck's fourth score was a three-yarder to Donte Moncrief to make it 30-3. His favorite receiver on the night, T.Y. Hilton, racked nine catches and 146 yards on 10 targets, doing whatever he wanted against soft coverage. The Colts will host the Texans in Week 14 where Luck will be an elite QB1 play.
Dec 5 - 11:08 PM

Ryan Fitzpatrick was benched after completing 5-of-12 passes for 81 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception in the first half Week 13 against the Colts.

Dreadful. The Jets were getting blasted 24-3 at halftime, and the Colts scored another touchdown on the first possession of the third quarter to make it 31-3 before Bryce Petty came into the game to a round of applause. The Jets went three-and-out on their first two possessions of the game, and Fitzpatrick threw a terrible pick into double-coverage just before halftime. Well on their way to 3-9, the Jets may as well give Petty the reins the remainder of the year.

Appearing on ESPN's Monday Night Football halftime show, Adam Schefter reported Seahawks FS Earl Thomas (broken leg, injured reserve) is "still considering retirement."

Not many people took Thomas' Sunday night halftime tweet seriously, but it apparently wasn't a complete lark. However, per Schefter, the Seahawks don't believe he's truly considering the possibility, and that it's just an "emotional" response. Still only 27, Thomas is signed through 2018. He remains one of the best defensive backs in the league. We should see Thomas on the field in 2017. His broken leg does not require surgery.
Dec 5 - 10:01 PM

T.Y. Hilton (back) is active for Week 13 against the Jets.

As expected. Hilton will be a rock-solid WR1 against a burnt-to-crisp Jets pass defense. Inactive for the Colts are OLB Robert Mathis, CB Patrick Robinson, SS Clayton Geathers, ILB Deon King, OT Le'Raven Clark, OG Austin Blythe, DE Lavar Edwards.

9 News Denver's Mike Klis believes Devontae Booker was about to get "overtaken" by Kapri Bibbs before Bibbs suffered a year-ending ankle injury.

Grain of salt advised here because Klis was wrong about Bibbs potentially overtaking Booker once before, and because he allowed this was entirely his own opinion/guess by using the phrase "in my estimation." Still, it's a possible indication that the Broncos are indeed growing frustrated with Booker's lack of decisiveness and inability to generate positive gains. He has averaged just 2.80 yards per carry over the last five games. The Broncos claimed longtime Gary Kubiak pal Justin Forsett off waivers on Monday, and it would not be surprising if Forsett were mixed into the game plan as soon as Week 14 at Tennessee.
Dec 5 - 5:20 PM

Broncos placed RB Kapri Bibbs on injured reserve with a high ankle sprain, ending his season.

It's a shame after Bibbs gave the Broncos some of their most explosive runs of the season in Sunday's win at Jacksonville. The Broncos will move forward with Justin Forsett as their No. 2 back behind shaky starter Devontae Booker, whose performance is seemingly getting worse every week. Bibbs is primarily a special teamer and not someone worth stashing in any Dynasty leagues.
Dec 5 - 5:16 PM

Lions CB Quandre Diggs is expected to miss the rest of the season with a torn pectoral.

After a promising rookie campaign in 2015, Diggs took a step back in coverage as a sophomore. The Lions do have him under control cheaply for the next two seasons, but they will bring in competition for Diggs in 2017 training camp.
